The car is progressing. After reviewing the race rules, I've tweaked the hover system so it is an option, but not the main mode of transportation. Vertical propulsion is now available if you reroute throttle from engine a to engine b; it is... a bit... what's the word? Finicky though. It needs improvement. Kicking helps.

Also, it seems that projectiles are viable but generally frowned upon in this race, so I made some structural changes to the sidecar and now Jayce has more foot room. (I hid the projectiles. We may need them yet.) Jayce's work on the engines is revolutionary; they roar. I would shudder to think of any such contraption on the roads of Piltover, but for such a thing as this? Excellent. We will terrify children.

I think we'll need to test it later this week, once we are certain that the prototype crash system is functional. Should we test the brakes? Is that backwards-thinking? We are intending to accelerate, not stop, but perhaps we may wish to avoid an obstacle in our path? Limited use for brakes. Hmm.

Oh wait, yes, Jayce says we'll be testing the brakes. I will add it to the list.

I know with people from a bajillion different worlds there have to be people with great spooky songs I haven't heard, so give me suggestions to add to my Halloween Playlist, which I will be listening to at least twice a day for the next six weeks.


In non-Halloween news, who wants to have a sign-making party for the race? Even though I am obviously Team Scientia, making signs together is fun and I want to see what all you other race fans are doing.

Widow House is all properly furnished and settled in with all the worst of the memories taken out and replaced by better ones.

And I decided to call it Widow House instead of Trauma House because it just sounds better. And less terrifying and more likely that people we allow to will visit.

Mango is also totally settled in. As a matter of fact, Mango is already ready to celebrate two straight months of Halloween. So am I. Bring it on.

If anyone knows of anyone else who might be hiring a good secretary or assistant, would you mind letting me know? I'm very organized, a fast typist (faster on the typewriter, not terrible on this computer thing), an observant listener, and even better at fielding calls and not letting callers bully me into interrupting your meetings.
