Found underground, they're a big part of dwarven folklore and stories told to children - though they do actually exist, and look like lizards with round mouths filled with teeth and extremely creepy claws. Pure nightmare fuel, essentially. They hunt in packs and spit acid, so take heed if you have a farm or a garden or plan to go out hunting for them yourselves.

Though Deepstalker hide is a common crafting material in Thedas as well - if you bring what you skin to Glorious Purveyors, we'll see what we can do.
