On the tails of Sabrina's post (we're a very serious and business driven group), I'm putting it out there that Empress Hair Salon will be opening soon. I've gotten just about everything I need, but I'm still getting everything ready. Thanks to my daughter, Claire, we will be having our very own Unicorn Chair for the younger crowd that want it. She's still not sure it makes up for the Salon not being named after unicorns, but I assume she'll survive.

That being said, I'm reaching out here to see if there's anyone that would be interested in working at the salon. If there's not anyone, I'll hire from the locals, but I figured I'd still ask.

Also everyone compliment my wonderful husband and Sabrina for helping me both with getting the place and the painting and decorating and their patience while dealing with my need to overthink the smallest details.

Will someone who has experience with willful teleportation into alternate realms please contact me for an interview? Ritualized transportation is fine as well. I've a giant black spot where this specific request should be in my research and I might as well wade out of spatial physics and into alternate magical abilities now while the weather is grim and long hours of work is condoned. I had a very good time with our game, even if I had to launder the contents of my closet and was second out. Perhaps we might make this an every-other-month occasion? And of course if you come across someone who is like to enjoy the game, and might be easily fleeced for their goods and possessions, we might have a place for them at the table.

There are also additional complications that I did not introduce into the first game due to my intention of keeping it fairly straightforward. For example, you might add a corrupt monarch to the mix, who will have grudges of their own, or an additional murderer, or even - and I did not trust you with these, I admit - seductions. Now that I have seen you all play, I am convinced that allowing seductions into the gameplay would be a terrible idea, and therefore we must do it.

Is there some kind of hug virus going around? Because I'm used to clingy but this is a whole new level.

If so, I'd like to keep it please.

Velora tried to bring home no less than six forest animals (and one Vallo native) on the way home from picking up dinner tonight and I'm torn between pride that she takes after me in that way, and worried about what will happen if she ever accidentally slips off on her own long enough to convince one of the raccoons we came across to come live in her bedroom.

Vax--I think our sister needs a puppy. Or a cat. This place can always use more cats.

This is embarrassingly belated, but I'm ready to take you up on that wine night if you're up for it. I've reached the point where I've left the pity party so copious amounts of wine seems like much less of a bad idea. Thoughts?

I enjoy my work a great deal, but Calenhad is much better at being comforting to our clients, I think. I'm not complaining, mind you - some problems are best solved by using a very large dog as a pillow for a bit, and most of us need all the help we can get.

For anyone who's more recently arrived: the Chakrabarti Clinic offers mental health and addiction/recovery counseling and treatment. Should you need aid of that sort, come to visit us.

I will be moving quarters in the next few days. Alexis and I mean to take up that set of rooms in the north tower that Lady Montilyet used to hand off to visiting Orlesians, as it has a little more room and actual stairs to the top level. My old tower office and chamber will thus be available to anyone who would like to take it over or invite someone else into the keep.
