Now my earlier hysterics are over (so sorry, I have no idea what got into my system), I just want to make the announcement that the clinic will have on-call hours both Christmas Day and Christmas Eve. I'll be at the site the entire time in case anything comes up. You can also send out a message to me anything if you have any illness-related questions.

If you're having an emergency though like someone choking or your arm fell off, I'd really suggest calling 911 and going straight to the hospital, though.

Filter: Clinic employees
I know you have families and friends you've made here so you are NOT obligated to show up. I just need to keep busy during the holiday and I figured I'd be hanging there anyway, doing... something. Research, etc.

The rest of you can just stay home. Hope you all enjoy your holidays and will see you Monday.

Past few days, being here, it's been weird. There's more time than I know what to do with. On the ship there was always something to do, something that needed fixing or something going on. Downtime, what little of it we had, we had card games and arm wrestling. And other kinds of wrestling, you know.

Seems like there's no end to all the little animals and creatures here. They're cute. No end of things to see. Can't just stay cooped in my apartment like I'm back in Baltimore on basic. World's too big and free out here.

Another thing I've learned about this world is how important the holidays are. Never paid much attention to them back home, wasn't time. Barely knew our own birthdays. Earth years were different than belt years, than Mars years, than space years. Hard to keep track of the days, just had to keep track of the jobs.

Speaking of that, getting a job, glad about that. Good to be getting a wrench back in my hand again.

For anyone who doesn't have any place to go, I'll be serving Christmas dinner at La Sirene tomorrow, starting at 3 PM. The club itself will be closed, but I've got plenty of food and drink for anyone who just wants to get out for a bit.

I don't want to complain about a present because I'm sure whoever gave them was trying really hard to be thoughtful. But shower slides? I grow a tail every time I'm in water without this necklace Zu someone made me. I guess I can still wear them around the apartment.
