Some people panic buy a ton of shit after having an existential crisis. That was me at, like, 13. I used to fantasize about buying out half the pharmacy. Now I just delete my entire island in Animal Crossing. It felt kind of good? Not as good as a six-month supply of bandaids and antiseptic, maybe, but I'm vibing with this clean slate thing. I don't know about you all, but I can't help but feel as though I might have missed something over the last handful of days. I would blame alcohol or something along those lines, yet there's no lingering hangover nonsense to contend with so I might have to accept that this place may just be more difficult to predict than a world of grisha, monsters, and just far too many fish dishes.

Not to echo more or less everyone else that has been changed recently, but I'm ready for this exercise in patience to be over now and to go back to my own life. There are so many books that I don't have right now. I miss other, far more important things as well, of course. But at least the books would be a near adequate distraction?

I don't know how much longer I will be here, but I wanted to leave something for, well, myself after things have gone back to normal. Since I can't be certain what he will remember, if anything at all, I worry that when he comes across it, he will doubt its authenticity and disregard it. And so, I was hoping that, if you didn't mind, you might give it to him directly.

If you'll all excuse me, I'm going to lock myself in my room and scream into a pillow for the next year.

I'm trying very hard to not be offended that everyone else got to be older and better looking. Hopefully my boss at the diner won't be too mad I skipped a few shifts for being thirteen.

You know, I've been in a lot of weird situations over the years so I don't know if being sucked in by a magical crystal is necessarily the weirdest but... it's definitely somewhere in the top five. I guess magic really isn't a secret around here. Have I been dead that long
