Mike - Added your ass to this cause I think we're good on offering you a job and you'll need to know. We're gonna have to do some kind of fire safety meeting though. I'm adding more extinguishers to the farm but Parrish and Gansey probably want to run fucking dumbass drills or something IDK.

Well that was certainly an evening. A huge thanks to Allura for opening up your home and hosting everyone and putting on such a great event.

Unrelated, but since we've had quite a few new people - I'm Caroline and I work with the DOA. We are here to help however we can so please reach out if you need anything. We offer help with job placement, getting settled into schooling if needed, we can help you find housing outside the apartments should you wish, classes for technology if you're from a world that doesn't have what Vallo has, and lots of other things! Please tell me you feel even half as awful as I do this morning. That was almost as bad as drinking with Peyton. Anyway, I've heard there's a morgue here in the city. Do you know anything about it? I haven't had anything to eat since I've gotten here and I'm starting to get hungry. Really hungry.

I still cannot be entirely certain that I'm not dreaming, but being thrown into a new world all on my own is not the most outlandish thing to happen to me lately. At least it seems I am able to make my own choices, go where I like, wear what I want.

In retrospect it may have been a better idea to introduce myself before making an appearance at the absolutely lovely ball being thrown this evening, but I needed to get out into the world. To do something that made me feel like me again for once. I had a wonderful time. It was a nice reminder of before.

Anyhow, my name is Effie Trinket, and I've been told this is the best way to 'put myself out there' while here. I suppose I shall need a job of some kind. Something to keep the mind occupied. If anyone has any suggestions I would most appreciate it. I do have a wealth of experience.

Just a head's up that Mr. Nyx said Galahd could have a karaoke night this Thursday!

I almost didn't go to the ball. The fact that I've been here for what feels like all of five minutes without proper attire or really anyone I'd know who would be there, going didn't seem like that great of an idea. I'm glad I did, though, because I forgot just how much I really missed the fun that comes from a good party--we don't get many of them where I'm stationed. Or was stationed? I'm still wrapping my mind around how all of that works.

So thank you to those who worked hard to host it, and also thank you to those who took the time to talk to and/or dance with me. I enjoyed your company for as long as I had it. Also, thank you to Jester for taking the time to find me something appropriate to wear.

All of that being said, I'm now in the business of looking for more ways that this place offers fun. Who has recommendations? Food? Things to do? Places to see? I'm open to trying just about anything once.
