While I appreciate the timely rescue, Lestrade would have found me eventually. You can survive premature burial for much longer than you might assume. I had at least another two hours left presumably. And considering the fact that I've been written out of the family will, you won't be getting much by way of a reward. It's a bit of a gamble kidnapping the youngest of three. My older brother may hold a position in government, but he despises acts of brotherly love, and the eldest of us—who stands to inherit anything significant, though I imagine Mycroft will contest that—might as well be a stranger to me.

So you see, you've made a rather grave ha miscalculation. No one is coming for me, and certainly no one in my family will be motivated to offer you a ransom. I suppose we're stuck with each other, then. I do hope there's decent tea around here. Are there hobnobs as well?

So the day everyone got a taste of the really worst case of Hawke Luck (I've had days) I lost my armor. Don't ask. However I opened my closet and guess what? Standing there, like it's always been there was my armor, the one they gave me when I became Champion.

I'm looking at specific ways I can put STAR Labs to use for this place, but I haven't been here long enough to really have a grasp on what it is you all need or want from a cutting edge research facility. Jobs could be a thing. For anyone interested in innovative science. Star Labs was originally created to produce and power an entire city with clean air. While we won't be recreating that any time soon, it's an example of its potential.

There are a few tests I'm going to be running in this city soon, if you see a drone or two don't be startled. They have names. The little gold one is 3p0 and the little white one is r2.

A couple of new things I've experienced this week.

1. Being referred to as Professor Bennett is so very weird.
2. Peanutbutter bacon burgers are amazing and how the hell have I never heard of these before.

Anyway. Uncommonn Goods is looking to hire another staff member, especially someone who can work mornings/days. It's a magic shop, and not of the trick-of-the-eye kind. A legitimate magic shop for practitioners to find supplies. I'm not against hiring locals but I thought I would mention it to Outlanders first, just in case.
