Piggybacking on Ignis's observation, if you saw that - I still have my Ancient Vallo journal (such fond memories of a finicky time stone) and have been able to reverse engineer the magic. I enchanted just a regular notebook to test it out and that worked the same way the journals do, with the cross-communicating between us and...wherever people are.

If you weren't in Ancient Vallo and have a separate journal or notebook of your own, come to the Sanctum and I'll enchant it for you. Or if you need me to come to you I can do that too, just let me know.

I know even writing here is a longshot but thought it entirely possible there might be another "Ancient Vallo" in place and we're at the stage of trying everything back home.

So if anyone sees this and you're on whatever excursion Vallo has sent you on, a check-in would be most appreciated.

It appears any of us who have the journals from Ancient Vallo should be able to communicate with our missing members, I was checking mine just today as a last-ditch effort and have managed to talk to a few of them now.

Can anything be done with this to help locate them?

You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what do you pick? Jalapeno poppers? Swiss rolls? Money? DRUGS?

If you haven't been by the Sanctuary in a week or so, we had a busy Solstice here. Lance and I stumbled across two Simurgh pups without their mom, and so now they're settling in and learning how to fly and I took in a very pregnant Reindeer (unexpected, since usually they foal in spring) who had triplets. So it's been the New Year of baby animals.

The Simurgh's need names, though. They're colorful with wings and right now small dog-sized bodies, but they're going to get much bigger, I think. So if you have suggestions, throw them at me. I'm having a contest to name them, at the end of the week the most votes will get some one-on-two time with them to play and hang out. And you get the honor of your name being used for them, too.

So I was rearranging the comics at the store (duh) and made a display of my favorite graphic novels. Superheroes were how I got in to comics--a part of that was because I was and am a scrawny, pale, gay nerd looking for an escape, but the other part was definitely because it's hard not to get into them when you're walking to get coffee and Spider-Man is literally swinging around New York.

But there are some great ones that aren't superhero based, some that literally made me experience all the feels, some that are just clever storytelling.

Anyway, just a small collection of the great stuff out there, but hit me up for more recommendations because I could seriously talk about this stuff for forever. Also, we have a pretty great D&D group, newbies welcome.

The last time Vallo decided to drop some free money in my lap, I'd been completely compelled to spend it on hats for a giant eel pet. I think we were all convinced we had to buy it for something not.. exactly conventional.

So now that I don't have that same impulse anymore, I could use some suggestions. When Vallo gave you some money, where did you spend it?

Now that I've gotten in a whole day of flustering my wife girlfriend Catra and making her all blushy, hi Vallo, from about two decades in the future.

Richie - I want to give Catra a momming break. She's been doing so much and she deserves a nap or something. Want to do something with the kids this afternoon?

Leon - I know the younger me made plans for sushi (ugh) for Catra's birthday tomorrow night. We're still up for it if you are, but we'll obviously have Finn.

Her "no parties" policy doesn't change in the future either, by the way. But you can all feel free to burst out of cakes on my birthday in January, thanks.

Well I wasn’t expecting myself to show up here without my full Kyoshi warrior outfit and now that I look at it, it is smaller than I remember. Did I gain weight or was I always really skinny for my age?

Besides that, I'm currently trying to put out feelers for potentially teaching/training others on Tessenjutsu. I know a few people who had previously said they wanted to learn but I lost track of it because that was... way back in the year? Before we ever landed in the past (remember that?)

Would love to know 1. who would be interested and 2. any spot or gym someone would be willing to rent out to me as a teaching ground.

Is the dancing and singing over yet? I've been staying inside all weekend avoiding it. Not that I am not big on physical workout, but after my workout got interrupted by singing and dancing, I'm pretty sure I confused poor Unagi, and also, I just wanted to practice my fighting!

Unagi Update!

Since he's arrived, it seems like he hasn't really grown past the size he's been at. I'm not sure if that means he's going to be growing very very slowly or if the size I got is the size it'll be at for life. Stranger things have happened in this world, right?

And yes, I AM feeding him properly, not including all the silly hats that I got him last month when we got extra money in the bank and I was suddenly compelled to spend it all on HATS FOR A GIANT SEA SNAKE.

He mostly chewed them up and spit them out.

Is anyone in particular skilled in taking care of an oversized pet eel?

There is an Unagi in our pond!

I don't know how because the last Unagi I met was back in Kyoshi Island!
