Hello, Mr. Gilmore! I'm Pete Montague and I feel like we've met in passing a few times--at least, I've come into your shop before. And it's actually your shop that I'm messaging you regarding.

Is there any chance you have any job openings available? Stocking shelves or working the register or whatever else you might need help with doing? I have a resume that I can bring to you and I'm happy to do an interview and all of that, but I didn't want to just come into the shop and assume you were hiring so I thought that I might reach out here first. Oh and I am magically inclined, if that makes a difference. It was still relatively new to me back home, but I had some lessons and then finished out my schooling at Geliara here.
