ALRIGHT. This is my attempt at cheering myself up and not thinking of my friends who are not here and depressing myself all over again.

So, I absolutely enjoyed reading about Earth holidays that didn't show up in Fillory like Halloween and Christmas (well we have some type of versions but they're a lot different... don't ask, I don't really want to get into the details of it and thinking about Fillory will probably make me sad). I just never got a chance to be able to participate because in my world, there was always some shit going on.

THAT BEING SAID, I am taking the chance now and this is going to be my first Halloween in Vallo, and I want to fucking deck everything out! Where do I get decorations? What kind of ideas should I get into? Should I bother trying to bake anything and blow up the kitchen or should I just buy pastries myself? Where are the best Halloween parties??

October 31 is Sabrina's 18th birthday! Horror movie night birthday party at the Sanctum (Thanks Dr. Strange!). Line up to be selected by the birthday girl.

Hey y'all! Exciting news! I know, you're thinking I already shared the fall pie menu—I did!— and it's still available through November! But even better is that hockey season starts in just three weeks! Our home game opener is Sunday, October 24th at Faber, and I'd love to see y'all there cheering us on against the Elvish Eagles, our mortal enemies.

Our team has been working so hard, and it would mean the world for y'all to come out and support them. Of course, if you want to join in on the ice, experience is not necessary! There is still time! It's a family tradition at this house to carve pumpkins leading up to Halloween and then put it forward to everyone online to vote for the best one. Pumpkin desserts then follow.

It's not required, but it would definitely be pretty cool if anyone else wanted to get in on the carving and then post their photos. Maybe by the 30th?

October 10th is mine and Caroline's birthday. If you're free, please join us for a joint birthday celebration at the Barnes-Ulric almost farm starting around 4pm for a mulled wine and dinner party.
