I understand that this may seem an odd question, but as I am not familiar with this place and I assume many of those who can see this are, can anyone advise what the day-night cycle is like here? Having been here about 24 hours, it would seem that it is what one might expect, but I was curious if it is as predictable as that? The weather seems a bit less so -- though I'm not unfamiliar with snow, I have never been witness to a storm like that, yet today it seems much more pleasant -- so I thought it worthwhile to ask so as to have proper expectations. If it is more akin to normal, do shops and such have extended hours or are most closed once night has arrived?
