Hi! So it seems I'm not the only one who received something from home, but mine is a little different. Mostly, because SAM is a fully sentient AI. I don't know how people feel about AI's around here, but where I'm from they're more or less forbidden. There's a lot of reasons behind this, which I'm happy to go into if you want more details,. But either way back home SAM's purpose was to help us Pathfinders with situational awareness, problem solving, and tactical enhancements.

He's also capable of scanning foreign materials and plant life (along with categorizing them), and one of the tactical enhancements is that he's able to build maps. So he could probably help you guys with that.

He also learns through me. See the way he's designed is that it's a two way street, along with a symbiotic relationship. Whatever I experience, SAM does.

I figured you guys should probably know, and if there's questions I'm happy to answer them.

Sometimes things from our own worlds show up here - just like people do. I got mom's kni Houses and vehicles like the ones in the city? That's how the Barns ended up here, where we visited yesterday.

So I just wanted you to know it's pretty normal for this place, before I tell you that I found our house in the forest today when I was out doing my morning exploration. It's just like we left it back home.

On my way back to The Citadel for a check in and apparently I took a wrong turn into what feels like something from the pages of Grognak the Barbarian. I don't think I've ever seen so many people walking around in one place that weren't actively trying to kill me. Or at least staring at me like I'm an intruder and they just want an excuse to try and kill me.

Looking for information from those of you who have been here longer than me. Which is approximately about two hours now, according to my Pipboy. I get that there's housing and I was given some currency to use but you guys really use dollars, right? For money. I have no idea how much things cost with these. I normally use them for kindling. Pre-war currency is pretty useless for anything else. As for the housing I understand it's group housing. What are my other options? Rules on animals? One of my dogs is with me.
