So, I'm eighteen today. Which means that I can smoke now? Because I was looking at skin mags and drinking booze yesterday and I'm going to do it today too if I so fancy. This country's so strange.

It's true - I've put in my two weeks at the tea shop so I can help my boyfriend with his store. I wonder if he'll give me double the sexual harrasment speech?

But honestly, I can't complain. My daughter boyfriend's daughter is doing great in school, the house is lovely, and I'm looking forward to working with Jefferson.

Kinda feels like I'm just asking for a bout of bad luck, but I'm really happy.

Blergh blergh blergh. Holiday, etc etc.
Yes, we called our Dad. Wished him a happy thing with the stuff. Card's in the mail. (No, seriously, it is though. What the heck do we look like, ingrates?)

I started Fifth Year in my dreams last night. The Wizarding World is turning into a very dark place. Reading about Harry's brush with the Wizangamot almost makes me want to switch back to I'm intrigued to see how all of this affects Hogwarts. The Ministry and Hogwarts have historically kept a respectable distance.

In other news, I'm so incredibly thankful that my magic is back. I can't even begin to describe how relieved I am that my wand is working again.

Today feels dreadfully wrong and a bit awful.

Like I woke up on the wrong side of the bed -- or somehow forgot a piece of myself when I left the house to go to work. I cannot say I appreciate such a strange feeling whilst I'm trying to get things done.

I kinda want a dog. What's a great breed to get when you have a growing one-year-old and a small-ish house? I mean, we have a fenced in backyard too.

I have no idea where this is coming from, but I blame all those dog food commercials on TV.

The next wedding is in a week and a half on June 15th. Invitations went out a week or so ago so everyone should have already received their invitations. This Saturday is the last day to RSVP. We need to know how many people are coming so we can get the rooms aboard the cruise ship allotted to everyone.

Believe me when I say Tony and I will completely understand if people who have attending the last couple of weddings don't want to attend this one. There will be no hard feelings if you turn down the invitations, but we thought we would give a big wedding one last go.

Hello everyone, my name is Padmé and I just discovered this nifty forum (? right word?) - I'm stuck doing some social media advertising for my internship right now, so I happened to stumble onto this. But all I know is that I can't believe it's June. That means I don't have much time left before the Bar Exam and I'm starting to freak out. Doesn't help that one of the newer associates keeps talking about how hard it was and I'm pretty sure she's trying to mess with me.

I've found a new love. I need to hit the library and research. Apparently, there's a lot I don't know (and should know) about gastronomy.

As much as I detest the lawyer-as-vulture stereotype, certain colleagues make it hard to dispel. Still, I consider myself a facilitator of the law rather than a salesman. Who doesn't like Atticus Finch?

Do any among you hold a negative view toward my ilk? Or is there an occupation you find yourself predisposed to mistrusting?

I wish there were more intelligent and sophisticated people on here to talk to. It's always drama, sex, drinking, drugs, and violence. Can't there just be someone willing to sit and have tea?

I'm going to have to stop smiling so much. Patients find it kind of suspect when an oncologist walks around humming all the time.

Today was perfect.
I don't think I've ever had such a lovely day off before. In fact, I am certain it might be hard to ever really beat.

Seriously, this day has sucked. Not just like normal suckage, but incredibly bad suckage. Or it did. And then there was Tessa. I don't think I've ever believed, before meeting her, that one person could completely change your life, completely make it better forever. But she... she really does.

My mum has gone prom bonkers. Seriously.

We didn't really have the same thing back home, so she's apparently had a hotel room booked for months - for the whole weekend, bought me bloody lingerie (I was unaware they made pants that cost seventy-five dollars, why?), and we've tried on roughly a hundred dresses.

I didn't have the heart to tell her that until she bought me said panties, I wasn't really planning on going. I mean, I thought I might, but it wasn't solid. Damian, I hope you don't mind.

I considered quitting school but I graduate so soon I guess I might as well stick it out.

No idea what to do after though. No way I can stand more school. Anybody know any jobs for a computer nerd?

I'm surrounded by boxes! And the weather is so beautiful! I don't want to stay inside and work! It's okay, though. I'm sure I'll be unpacked soon.

Hypothetically speaking, how much is too much of an age difference, for a relationship? I've been having some pangs of morality lately, and I wanted the opinion of you fine folk to put my troubled mind at rest.

For the record, I have the world's best boyfriend. Just putting that out there. Percy's recently moved in with me, and it's ... well. The best thing to happen to me in years.

There isn't much better than coffee in the early evening on a day off.

Even if this coffee maker is possibly also a spaceship. Technology: it's not as if I do not understand it, but when did it ever get so convoluted to the point where I might have to read a manual in order to make something as simple as a warm drink?

So, I was sitting down with a bowl of cereal this morning and watching cartoons - per usual - and wow. Cartoons have gotten a whole lot dirtier than when I was a kid.

The scary part of that clip is that it's actually not wrong. Admiral Richard Howe really was nicknamed "Black Dick".

... a fact that doesn't make that clip any less spittake worthy.

The Chairman appears to approve of the house. He especially likes my bed and instead of sleeping curled up at the end, he sleeps stretched out on his back with his front paws over his head. Honestly, he's the strangest cat I've ever seen. He also appears to enjoy the window in the bedroom, because it looks out onto the beach and he can people watch all day.

I have never spent so much damn time on a project. I'm almost done with it though, I really should just push through and get it done before the weekend, but frankly I'm thinking video games and then some Wendy's.

There are a lot of you out there in the show business so I figured I'd let you all know that we're holding auditions for several guest roles on my show this coming season. We start filming again next month. If you're interested let me know and I'll give you the exact details.

I thought that today I might write a well thought out post here, as it has been quite a while -- but I am feeling particularly ineloquent today and four tries of what basically equated to rubbish has left me with little desire to try again.

I watched my brother die about a thousand times in my dream last night. It wasn't exactly pleasant. Didn't get much sleep last night, since it was so riddled with dreams. I've been a bit of a waste of space at work today. I'll make up for it. Everyone has one of those days.

Reminds me of the early days with the lads down the green. Dinnae matter how cold or dark it got you dinnae leave the pitch until the match was set. Playing in the ice slag, using drifts to your advantage even as you would tug a jersey. Bloody brilliant. Playing in the rain donnae even come close.

I envy those lads in Colorado. Snow coming down sideways and I bet nae a one of them ever felt the cold for the passion in their hearts.

Today is my first day at my new job. I'm taking a late lunch break now, and it was hard to pull myself away from the work. It's all terribly interesting. It feels weird to say so-- I'm a lawyer now. It's not a job. It's a step toward a proper career: one that I've been planning since I was old enough to do so.

I-- am. Well. Happy? Better than I have been in a very, very long time. And I have a lot of reasons to be thankful for that.

Another day of unnecessary oddity: avoided.

My dog, Baxter, has taught himself the silliest trick in the world. I in no way contributed to this: he taught himself this. Or maybe it's just his preferred method of movement. Either way, it's really silly.

I love my dog.
