Anyone know of a good place around here that offers boxing? I kind of miss fighting hitting things hitting the gym and going a few rounds.

I had an interesting hike this weekend. There was a bear.

WOOHOO!I survived my first week of college (I have just another class today) and I didn't even cry! I'm super excited that Monday is a holiday because I already have some homework for my classes and I want to be able to sleep in. I managed to get a decent schedule for Fridays and I should be wrapped up with classes by early afternoon. Which means I could get all my homework done early if I wanted to and just enjoy the weekend. We'll see how I keep up on that.

I want to celebrate. Not quite sure what to do yet, except for attending my last class. I'm sure that college parties around here are intimidating. And not really my scene, so anyone have any other suggestions?

Raise your hand if you think that song, "The best song ever" is the worse song ever? Really there were some awesome boy bands in the 90's but One Direction isn't even close. It's like a group full of Bieber want-a-be's in one place. Not that I would strive to be him either.

Anyone have any good tips on soothing sore muscles? Getting back into a work out routine is killing me and I could barely lift my arms over my head today. But hey, that's progress and a good thing right?

I got registration out of the way, bought my new books, moved into my dorm, and I think I am ready for school to start tomorrow. I am totally freaking out a little though. My roomie seems pretty nice so far and I really hope we get along for the rest of the semester.

Definitely having a case of the Mondays. My kingdom for whoever brings me a coffee. The largest coffee possible.

I can't believe that school is about to start. It's so strange to be going off to college instead of High School. There's orientation to do and classes to make sure I'm registered for. I've got to go make new friends and live in a dorm and try not to get lost. I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed just thinking about it, but at least I've got one friend there already.

Anyone have any tips on surviving college? Oh! And does anyone do any personal training around here? I think I'm going to really start hitting the gym and try to do some sports at school.

This dream thing is pretty give-and-take, isn't it? One minute it's great and the next it's - I don't want anymore of them.

Summer school sucks. The American education system sucks. California sucks.

I think this is what they call teenaged angst.

Now that those attacks have finished everything is slowly getting back to normal. I finally start my new job next week and I've almost unpacked everything in my new place.

If anybody is interested I'm one of the new fitness instructors at [gym] I'm taking a load of different classes so come down and check out the timetable.

Getting all my ducks in order for the next movie I'm working on. I'm so thrilled! I've got some really great people working with me, and I'm loving it so far. Can't wait for filming to start in August!

Trying to sleep but every time I doze off I get new dreams.

I'll never understand science. I don't even know if it's possible to ... You know. Do that to a person so quickly? Too bad the awe had to be spoiled. Like a dream turned nightmare turned really weird.

I know everyone's probably got plans for the fourth, but some people at work are having a barbecue for my birthday. They said to invite people along, so there's room for anyone who's looking to do something.

My flatmate, Annie and I are talking about going camping. Not being from the area though, I haven't got a fucking clue where the good campgrounds are. Anyone have any recommendations? She said not a lot of bugs. Don't know if that's something that can be controlled or not.

Construction has started on my new shop. Or deconstruction, I guess I should say. They have to clear the lot completely. Take it down to the bare bones. It means it will be closed a lot longer than I had hoped, but at least the process is starting.

Now I just wait!

In the meantime, I am still doing commissions and still working on projects for anyone who wants to hire my services.

My exams are done and I am free :)

Now the real work begins, hunting for a job and a place to live.

Maybe some time off first, though I need to be out of the dorms in two weeks.

Right! People that are going camping with me this weekend, are you ready? I've gotten the camp ground reserved [ADDRESS/DETAILS]. Now what I need from you is assurance you're going to bring your own camping gear! I mean I have a bit of extra around but I sure can't give all you some stuff. I am also asking you help buy some of the food. We can coordinate that here if you would like or people can bring their own but I think it would be nice to have a big picnic at least the first day since not everyone knows each other.

It will be fun! Promise. Lots of swimming, hiking and games. Just don't mind if my brothers start pranking you especially if we decide to tell ghost stories.

Well, that was a hell of a night. And morning.

Let me tell you folks, there is nothing like having a very quiet evening, and expecting nothing, telling a client about stones and woods, and suddenly, out of the blue, some gangbangers are shooting at each other outside your shop.

Of course, they aren't exactly particular about where their bullets go, and so your shop is taking a beating. And then of course, they manage to hit something, in one of the stores, and there is fire. I gotta tell you... that was a bit annoying.

Cops came, stopped the bad guys, and made them whine like the little dumbasses they were. But... my shop was a complete loss, along with half the storefronts there.

Of course, having full insurance means I'll be reimbursed and able to reopen swiftly, but the loss of a couple projects, pieces that were utterly unique, and the time when the shop will be closed and...

...I think tonight needs more beer.

Right. I am supposed to be putting together an invite list for a Memorial Day camping trip. Sounds fun right? Who wants to go? I can't invite the entire Net (though it would be a lot of fun) but we have room for quite a few I would imagine.

Getting shot sucks. At least it wont take long to heal. Stupid teenaged reflexes. Who robs restaurants anyway, anymore? Don't robbers have more style? Or is there no pride at all? Meh.

Being shot in this life really trumps the memory of being shot in a dream. In a bad way.

Also, hospital food and television programming sucks. I think they want to encourage people to get better by sheer will alone, just to get away from it.

I'm Callisto and I'm new in town, just moved here from Vancouver. I'm a stunt/fight co-ordinator and yoga instructor, so if anyone knows of any work going in those departments I'd appreciate if they could let me know.

Think I need a new manager too, this one's been less than helpful with my relocation. Could probably do with a smack across the face as motivation

Also on the look out for any sports or activity groups to join. Especially horse-riding, gymnastics and martial arts, again would like recommendations.

So it is my sister's 19th birthday next Saturday and I am arranging her party.

Many of you will know Wanda - you may be her friend, you may have a child she reads to at the library, you may know her from volunteering, however you know her you are invited to her party.

I would love to show her how many people care about her and want to wish her a happy birthday.

The Fullerton Library have allowed me use of their events hall to host the party, please let me know if you can come along.

I can't believe I almost forgot -- my birthday's next week! I'm going to be 19 on the fourth, and I nearly forgot! It's too late to start planning for a party, isn't it? And of course I won't be expecting any gifts at all. Drat, I would have liked to have thrown a party!

Hello, all you cool cats and kitten out there! My name's Lysander Scamander and I run a local shop called Scamander Wood and Stone in Irvine. Someone told me about this network awhile back, but I keep on forgetting to come and post here.

I'm a sculptor and woodworker and make both for sale and for commissions. In addition, you'll find art supplies and furniture of wood and stone at my shop as well!

I'm mostly a homebody, when I'm not working or pestering mom who lives in the area and is one of the coolest moms ever.

I had a weird dream last night... Not one of the past life kind of weird dreams I don't think... but weird nonetheless. I was all these different kinds of aliens. I don't think I can describe them well, but there were these centipede-looking things, I was one of those for a while, and things that looked like spiders, those were next, and bears... The bears were beautiful. And they've helped me come up with a new story for the kids at the library, so there's that! I just have to figure out how I'm going to make them out of felt.

You think it'd be easier to get up in the morning when you go to bed early. But nope. Stupid damn alarm clock doesn't wanna work and then I'm late for work. Again.

I swear I'm gonna get fired.

I've reached a (very reluctant) decision.

While sitting here, shoveling chow mein noodles mixed with fried rice into my mouth, I came to the realization that I should probably start, I don't know, running or something. My food choices will start catching up to me the older I get. That's how it works, right?

I hate running.

Well this week has been intense. And I still have a full day of classes tomorrow.

Still then it's the weekend, I'm leading a hike on Saturday. If anybody is free you should come along, we still have a few places left.
