It really is terrifying that we're over halfway through the year now. How is that even possible?

I feel like time speeds up expoentially after 35.

Ok, so I know I'm a scientist and everything, but today I had one of those '...huh...' moments where something just kind of clicks in your head and it makes sense.

I was watching the sunset on my roof and thinking about how I could look at it pretty much directly because the light has to filter through more of the atmosphere and so absorbs more of the energy and it just hit me that even though it looks like it's setting, we're the ones moving.

Now yes, I have known this since I was a young girl. I know the equations, the physics of it but it just...clicked in my head that somewhere else on the planet's surface the light from that amazing ball of gasses fusing together is pouring down on someone else as sunrise or mid-day while it just hangs in space. I just...I'm a little mind-boggled which probably hasn't helped me explain but I wanted to share.

Well that was..terrifying.

It's over. There's only the clean up.

I don't know if I can go to work today, I keep throwing up.

So many fireworks stands going up left and right. Only the legal stuff, of course, but still. It's pretty exciting. I love playing with gunpowder in different amounts, making different colors, whistles and bangs. I think I may have missed my calling as a pyrotechnic. Is it too late? Is Disneyland hiring?

Pepper, I can walk with a cane now. I'm making no promises about it not being needed to walk down the aisle next week, but I promise to wrap it in tulle or something, okay?

At least one good thing came out of this weekend? I seem to have learned a little self control.

Is it okay for us to skip the next Stark-Potts wedding now?

My dreams are playing out like some sort of soap opera or period drama. Too bad I can only see what's going on from my end.

Yorkshire in the early twentieth century was no place for an Irish activity, I'll tell you that. But I still think I've got it plenty easier than the other people I see there.

My piglet has been named. She's Samus. Because she's a tough little thing.

Dream me is so fucking naive and kind of annoying. Honestly, I don't think I've ever met someone that naive. I wasn't even that naive when I was really seventeen. I can totally understand why that guy was trying to push me away. Either way, I apparently got his attention, so I guess it paid off.

Now that I've got living arrangements settled, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Maia Amell, and I'm the new librarian at UC: Irvine (for all intents and purposes). I'm taking classes there, as well, as they seem rather interested in getting me a teaching position there for ancient studies.

It's almost like they think I'm an expert in my field.

I'd just like to take a moment to apologize to everyone on the network who witnessed my inebriation yesterday. It was entirely unprofessional of me to be posting in such a state and nothing like that will ever happen again. Thank you everyone for your kind words none the less.

Stark Industries would like to pick up the medical bills for anyone who was injured at the Stark-Potts wedding last Saturday afternoon. I'll be dropping by the hospital later today to pay those bills. It's the least we can do.

As an update to the wedding, Tony and I have decided to give it another shot although we will be putting the wedding together a little more quickly this time. I've hired a wedding planner to help me with this en devour. Expect save-the-date cards soon, but as a heads up it will be taking place on May 11th a couple hours outside of Malibu on a lovely little vineyard. I hope everyone will be able to make it out a second time.

Weddung. Ruined. Still dont know hy. possibly diring bruce when he shows back up. Someoe mentioned strippers too. Yes. The man is dead.

If I hadn't been there, I wouldn't believe what went down myself.

For those who were concerned, my nose was in fact broken. But not out of shape, so it didn't need to be reset, thank god.

In better news, one mister Robert Frobisher and I will be headed out of town starting tomorrow. My parents have a lovely little place out near Napa and we've managed to snag it for ourselves for a week or so.

I'm a bit nervous I've never taken anyone out there before, so hopefully it goes well.

I honestly can't believe it. I feel like a teenager again, I'm positively giddy over this.

OH MY GOSH. I finally got my computer back from the shop! It's been a long week without it! But I tripped over the cord and cracked the screen. SO SAD.

But it's better now! And it's starting to feel like Spring, isn't it? SO WONDERFUL.

A little over a month to finish the preparations for the wedding. I can do this. I'm Pepper Potts, multitasker extraordinaire.

Because I don't have enough things on my plate I'd like to take this opportunity to announce a charity event Stark Industries will be throwing on March 15th. The event will take place at Stark Industries where local artists will be displaying their own personal works to be auctioned off at a live auction. All of the proceeds will go to the Children's Hospital of Orange County. There will be an official press release with all pertinent information on Saturday, but I thought I would give everyone here on the network a head's up since I know a lot of you get paid on Fridays.

If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to ask.

This place has me conditioned to think that when things are quiet it means something horrible is about to happen. Doesn't help that Dex seems on edge.

So, we found Michiru. Or rather a few "superheroes" and the Police did. She's not doing perfectly, but doing better now that she is in the hospital. Send all get well gifts to [address and hospital room number]. There are guards on her room and only select few are allowed to visit her as of yet.


I would also like to apologise to any I offended yesterday. I was impatient and wrong to call my frustration on them into a public venue. They protect the city and deserve better. I am deeply sorry.

I would like to know. For those of you that have cats and dogs. Is it only my cat whose bum apparently contains a portal to hell? Honestly, I know what I feed him. Where does it acquire such an appalling smell?

So, I'm seven weeks pregnant, and this thing is kind of keeping everything in perspective.

Right now the little sea monkey's the size of a blueberry, which may not seem like a lot to you, but I'm kind of ... always aware of it, if that makes any sense. I have never seen this many people admitted at once. I'm not sure that we have enough beds here for this and no one seems to be reacting to any of the medication. I'm beginning to think that this isn't just a new strain of the flu like the bird or swine flu. And I hate watching patients get worse like this.

Observations: creatures enjoy carbohydrates and sugars. Also seem to multiply rapidly. Interesting. Suspect asexual reproduction. Haven't witnessed any mating habits. Could be problematic.
