So oh my god, thank you, tech person who got the internet back up and running at my place today. You deserve a hug or a cookie or something because I thought I was going to go crazy. Turn of the before-last-century apartment living is always an adventure, right? Especially so close to finals.

Anyway, I'm like so behind, I've been living here for over a year now and this is the first time I've logged on to this. I know, shameful right? So I'm Stephanie Brown and I'm a sophomore at CSUF studying Criminal Justice. I work part-time delivering packages for UPS and a few months ago I also started as a waitress over at Granny's in Huntington Beach. I'm pretty much busy all the time, but you know what they say, 'All work and no play makes Steph a dull girl', so I also make time to defend my title as ping-pong champion of the universe.

I'm tempted to take the designer thong I found in the couch and put it on the bulletin board in the lounge. Obviously the owner didn't care about leaving it there, it's probably the best way for it to find its proper home.

Starting a new job is weird, but good. Science teacher sounds weird, and yet, I like the idea. Science teacher at a University, teaching both normal and awesome classes? That sounds even better. Got to meet staff soon, and start settling in for the January semester when I start teaching.

Somehow, despite everything that has happened, I feel like things are better now than they have ever been.

So, the OC seems just as crazy now as it was when I left a few months back. And just as interesting. Definitely sounds like my kind of town.

Scariest part of being an actual responsible adult is other people thinking of me that way. I got offered, and took, of course, a job at UC: Irvine as a teacher. Which just makes me boggle some. Someone trusts me to teach? Wow.

It's strange getting used to California. There are some things I may never understand about this place. It's far different from my home. It does have certain charms, though, and I do hope I will enjoy my stay here.

I should introduce myself, as I'm new here. My name is Monica, and I'm a scientist. I moved here for work, and I am still getting used to this place.

I have no idea how I'm going to explain this to my employees. XD

I never was one to really talk to a lot of people, but one thing the Valarnet has helped do is to pull me out of that and make me sit up and take notice of things. Well, the net and Portia. But mostly the net, really, with it's crazy stories and interesting people. Portia is just awesome because she's Portia.

I guess the one good thing about getting in to LAX at seven in the morning is breakfast at Canele. I should be dead tired and on my way to bed but my body's still on Australia time and thinks it's two in the afternoon. Anyone got any good cat gifs?

Things have been shaping up here recently. What with adding a new space to the shop, where I sell tech items, and finally making some patents to go through, as well as being around Portia more. I have never been so happy as I am now. Never before.

The shop is going okay, but I could still use another hand there, an assistant who knows electronics and isn't afraid to work hard.

Did anybody else see the awesome meteor shower last night? Alex and I stood in the garden to watch, it was pretty impressive. Like a beautiful light show. I got a few sketches done this morning and if I can make them work there might just be a little meteor inspired collection.

I was lucky though. While I was unable to obtain employment as a result of my affliction, James used his inheritance after his parents died to financially support me. I never asked him to, he simply offered.

I do not think I could ask for better friends, both in and out of the dreams. The things they've done for me is more than I could ever ask of them.

Hello, all! My name is Alex Rogan. I've posted on here only once or twice, and it's been awhile. Figured an intro might be in order. Been a lot of new people in the last few months. Sorry I haven't been very social. I tend to work a lot.

Ah, also, I am looking to hire someone with knowledge in electronics and electrical work for a full time position at my company, Rogan Electronics. We do a lot of work, from security installation, to electrical installations during construction, to computer repair. Sometimes, we also do more simple things like plumbing and make-work, but lately, I've had enough work not to have to.

Got a few big jobs coming, not to mention a bunch of smaller ones, and my previous assistant left, so, I'm looking to fill the position with someone qualified, as soon as possible.

So, yes, ah... there you go.

I'm going to have a beach party on Friday evening before I leave town. Anybody want to join me? Say, around sunset?

I have returned to the area after an unavoidable absence and have been informed by current coworkers that I am somehow lacking in a social capacity. Furthermore, before anyone insists that I was away without submitting a leave of absence in writing, I will explain that I required time for reviewing several aspects of my existence. That is all.

Meeting with an architect tomorrow to get to work on designing my new bar. It'll be kind of nice, I know what I want the place to look like, generally, and I won't have that weird step between the storage in the back room and the bar anymore. I'm hoping to get the place open by the fall, because I'll probably go insane if I'm out of work for longer than that.

It is on days like this that I'm really glad I moved out of Oklahoma. Severe weather is starting back up again and tornadoes are already starting to touch down in the state. I can't tell you how many tornado drills I went through as a kid and when I go home to see my grandmother the sound of sirens gets my heart beating. My heart goes out to everyone that is affected by those tornadoes that do touch down and that reminds me to call my grandmother and make sure that everything is alright where she is.

I feel like a wreck. This week can just go straight to Hell for all I care.
