I'll be performing a show for free on Valentine's Day. In addition to free admission, there will be free wine and snacks.

Of course, for the record, the Need/Want will be doing Valentine's things. I'm still learning about the holiday, but I promise it'll be delightful.

Just as a friendly reminder, don't wait until the last minute to order your turkey's, hams or whatever other meats you might need for Thanksgiving. We're doing a month long special on free range turkey, and if you let me know you're from the network I'll give you a little more of a discount.

I will be closing the shop on Thanksgiving day, and won't open back up until the Monday after. I think I deserve a little bit of a break this year.

I'm ready to hit the parties at work. I think I am cheating at this costume thing but that is alright, I think. I mean, recycling work clothes is just too fun.

I've learned I can be happy with myself even if I'm still trying to figure out who I am. That's gotta mean I'm becoming a true Cali native, right? Existential meanderings of the mind in the middle of a Monday?

I'm exhausted. I don't even know why. I just am. And I might be debating my job's requests to go back overseas.

The more I think on it. The more I miss it.

I received excellent news from my lawyer today. Seems as though my husband finally signed the divorce papers. With no contest. So I am finally able to put him behind me and move on to better things. I suppose he finally saw sense for the first time in his life.

I've been thinking about getting tanned. I was going to do the whole tanning bed thing, but I started doing research and saw this thing where the girls get burned alive. It was reason enough to reconsider. Plus? I don't think my skin pigment will change naturally.

Spray tanning seems to be safe enough. Except for potentially coming out orange. Anyone have any stories about spray tanning I should hear? I'm good with positive or negative.

I have to admit that I love those Dr. Pepper commercials. I don't like Dr. Pepper itself, but those Little Sweet commercials are hilarious! I don't know what it is about them that are so funny.

In my opinion, there are few things more beautiful than seeing stars being born. This is a lovely photograph of it, though nothing beats seeing it with your own two eyes. I think I need to take a trip to see this.

I am entirely too exhausted this week. I don't know why, or what, but I'm tired. I just need a few extra hours of sleep, I suppose. Could be worse. It's just been very busy at the Need/Want and that's great, just I've been running like crazy lately!

I finally understand why people drink alone. If this is part of the whole growing up thing? I'm not so sure I'm ready to sit at the adult's table.

Tell me that I'm not the only one who doesn't care about the Super Bowl. I can't wait till it's over so I can stop hearing about it. Practically every store I've gone in to this week, the cashier has asked who I'm rooting for. Some people seem so surprised when you tell them that you don't watch football.

Thanksgiving is a strange holiday for me because I wasn't born in this country yet I consider it my own now. I worked hard to become a citizen. I feel as if Thanksgiving is especially important to people like myself who aren't native to this world country since it gives us a chance to really look at what we've gained by coming here.

I've gained a chance to have a future doing what I love and met the woman of my dreams.

For me?

I couldn't imagine being anything other than thankful to be an American.

I survived New Age Weekend at Open Artist Market. It had its good points. I met a potential new business partner who I hope I impressed at least a little.

This weekend? I'm spinning for the Howloween Freakers' Ball. The party will be open to the public. As long as you're in costume? You're in. Party starts at 10 PM at [address]. Tell them Alak sent you and they'll half your cover charge.

Are there any shows anyone would recommend? In my most recent dream, I took Vanessa to a show and I want to do the same here and thought I'd get some recommendations before making a decision.
