I've been gifted with four large paintings of this. Odd, but I rather like it. Doesn't match anything in my office, but I think I'll keep them around regardless. And along with a set of armor and weaponry, I'm feeling spoiled these days.

At least I can use the paintings to keep that damn horse in. Don't need an armored demon animal trotting around.

So, after Lobster I went out on the bike.

Let's just say the bike's trashed and so am I. Who knew broken legs took forever to fucking heal. My ribs are better, it's kind of nice because sitting up was a bitch for a bit. Although I guess I'm losing that power because it's taking forever for the leg to fix itself. Not fair. I feel like it's gone all spotty on me. Works for a bit then takes longer.

Also guess who hit me? Just GUESS! This is becoming a habit I'd like to avoid.

seriously. I'm not leaving the house again this month. I had my bike brought back to the house and I'll just mourn over it for awhile. I might be able to fix it. But this makes for a very depressed Rogue.

You have no idea how stuffy a barbeque can get until you've celebrated this holiday with my family and their various 'friends'. Like the chairperson of the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, who insisted on wearing the most obnoxious hats. Every year, a new one, and all of them uglier than the last.

Are you reading this, darling? I hope you don't think I've forgotten about that time I caught you with your skirt over your head in the gardens. I'm sure the gardener you were sharing your evening with has, because it didn't sound that memorable.

... In any case, I'm happy to say that the school will be marking the celebration with delicious food on a private stretch of beach this year, and I'm really very excited about it.

I'm glad France is putting up a good show in lieu of Spain not making it into the knock-out round. That being said, going up against Germany in a few days does not bode well. It would certainly be a coup for France to beat them. But then they'd likely have to play Brazil and that seems a slaughter waiting to happen.

It's a strange World Cup at that. At this point, I won't lie. I'm more or less cheering for whoever is going against the Netherlands.

I never understood how it could be so difficult to pick our paint colors until now. There's so much to decorate and I don't even know where to start. Figured painting my room was a good start, but I have no idea what color. I got a bunch of samples from the hardware store today and it's making it even more difficult.

Dreaming about living a long time is great.

Along with the creepy ancient tomb thingy of demonology and vampire slaying, I woke up with a wooden stake underneath my pillow and I think it's name is Mr. Pointy. I'm not sure why I think it even has a name, except that my brain knows that it has a name. Who names a stake? You name teddy bears and cute pets. You don't give names to wooden weapons. You just don't.

I think I have a split personality going on and she's convinced she's a vampire slayer. Unless someone is strategically breaking into my apartment and leaving Halloween props around like it's an Easter Egg hunt.

Of course, when you're a Frost, no matter how estranged from your family you might be you still have to make an effort. Especially on holidays.

Does my father deserve top shelf cognac? No, he does not. But he still spent a lot of money raising a daughter he despises. I suppose that does deserve some credit, which is why I sent him a gigantic bottle of low quality cognac, instead.

At least he cannot say I didn't send him anything.

Summer session's started at the Frost Academy, and we'll be offering our usual programs this year. Last year we did quite well with the community's children, tutoring them and preparing them for the coming school year. I've added piano and violin lessons thanks to our talented musical staff, and we'll be doing a summer gymnastics session as well.

These classes and sessions are far less expensive than a regular term, but will keep a bored child busy and their minds engaged during the next few months. You're all quite welcome to check our website and enroll, darlings.

In more personal news that I can't believe I'm discussing with the world at large - Do we get the abilities we dream about, then? I do read a great deal on here about ridiculously impossible things like magic and vampirism and super hero powers. Barring mass hysteria, you can't all be insane.

I've never been more happy to have a day off.

I was late to work because the fucktards at the coffee shop kept getting my order wrong. I was so irritated I was extra perfectionist and poor Chandra kept missing one step on her routine and I made her keep at it until she got it right. I might have made her cry

But she got it right so I got her lunch.

This last dream was like a nightmare. I was running, running away from the scariest thing you can imagine. Those dreams when you can feel that bad thing right on your heels and all you can do is run. Run and hope it doesn't get you.

And then you fall behind and you're sure you're gonna die.

But I didn't. I was lucky. And in the end, I just felt sad. I saw a side of the Doctor I didn't know about, one that was filled with rage and hate. Where did it come from? And will he ever be free of it? It hurt me hearing him talk of his race, all dead. It's not possible, is it? For a whole race to be wiped out?

And for the record, I don't just fall for pretty boys.

Embarrassing. I totally picked up my sister's phone instead of my own, and then got text messages on it. I never get text messages! That should have clued me in that it wasn't my phone! I'm getting it back to her. She's got mine. Our parents bought us the same phone, so that's how there was a mix-up! It's a great phone, though! I love it. I can't wait to get mine back!

Also, I need to make friends so that I won't be shocked when I get a text message.
