This may sound weird but I don't like when quiet it gets around here. Now that I know that the bad things that keep happening are a result of these dreams, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'd rather know what's coming. Is that weird?

Either way, waiting for the next round of zombies or killer clowns or sentient tornadoes or whatever is going to decide to show up is...not very good for my anxiety, it turns out.

I never thought I would say this about any fast food burger, much less about Burger King, but their new Rodeo King Burger is legitimately amazing. I am going to start putting onion rings on the burgers I make at home.

Oh, right, this thing does exist, doesn't it? It's been a minute since I've posted. Killian and I are wrapping the last of the wedding details and got some photos back from our engagement photoshoot - it wasn't anything terribly sappy like looking into each other's eyes with a sunset backdrop, no. The spoofs/gag reel of it was entertaining, and this one brings me back to the eighties. I'll never make that face in my life again.

My dreams have finished but aren't forever done, I don't think. My Evil Queen counterpart of my dream counterpart (confusing, yes, I'm aware) became her own person and frolicked off with an evil version of Robin Hood with a ring on her finger. I'm forever stuck with my now magic less sister whose...still in the picture, not entirely sure how but she is. Overall, I'll just enjoy whatever break I have between that round of dreams and the new ones. Weddings, first baby birthdays, all those exciting milestones.

I'll be trying out this Apprentice's Wand for a very distanced trip soon. If it can transport us to realms in one piece then I'm confident it can make it to Spain. Here's hoping it doesn't hiccup and drop is on Oz or Wonderland, that'd be our luck.

I had an exceptionally long Skype date with my mom for Mother's Day. Usually we spend the entire day together with lunch and plenty of shopping. I'm a little bummed we weren't be able to do that this year, but we've planned on doing our tradition a little late when I go to visit.

She was really happy with her new canvases and paints. And amused by her Dunkin' Donuts gift card that I said should last her at least twenty four hours. I swear she's a caffeine addict. We also talked about my upcoming birthday and what I wanted and then finished it up with a not so subtle hint that she still has yet to meet my boyfriend. So all in all it was a successful conversation!

I'm still in shock over the most recent events. It was Star Wars! STAR WARS!!! I mean, how cool is that?! I mean, sure there was a Starkiller Base and a battle, but I also saw Droids roaming around and even a few Ewoks. I'm curious, did anyone see Jar Jar Binks? I can only imagine what he'd look like in real life. I mean, yeah, he was the worst thing about the prequels, but still. You can't tell me that it wouldn't be interesting to see him.

It's always strange when you fall asleep and there's utter chaos happening, only to wake up and things appear to be quite normal. I'd say that I'm surprised but we all that this bloody area is notorious for such things.

Also, who decided on white for those uniforms? It's rather atrocious. Just because you are part of an evil empire doesn't excuse poor taste.

Anyway, here's to surviving another attack. Perhaps I'll wander over to Purgatory and have some celebratory drinks, if it's still there.

It's amazing that, in the OC, with the arrival of spring comes the desire to vacation far away from here. I'll take honeymoon suggestions, if anyone has them.

Because people who get married sometimes go on honeymoons. As of now, it's still sinking in that someone actually wants to marry me and go on a honeymoon, but I'll get there. I'm also not great at proposing, somehow the restaurant managed to catch fire that night, so I'm kind of glad I'll have to in theory do it only once.

I keep forgetting Poe's gone. He got transferred to a different base a few weeks ago, but I keep calling him thinking he's right around the corner. It's so weird not having him here.

Two fights in one week. This is a club where people have a good time. It's not som pub, and having a punch up in my place is not something I take lightly. Take that outside.

So I might have broken the guy's wrist on the bar. The bouncers had it handled quickly, but my place isn't that kind of place.

Why is it that people I consider close friends tend to leave? C'est la vie...

I had a chance to watch American Epic Sessions over the weekend. It was better than I expected, honestly, and I'm maybe biased but Ana Gabriel was amazing to watch. It was so good to see music from my own culture represented so well.

I think I'll have to buy the album whenever it's released. And watch the accompanying documentary, of course.

With the new year brings new dreams apparently. So not long after killing Lilith and Jace and Sebastian going missing, I tried to go home, but my mother had put up religious symbols to try and stop me and said that I was a monster who had killed her real son. Not gonna lie, that hurt. I started to fix things with Isabelle, tagged along on a trip to see the Seelie Queen, talked to Maia and Jordan about my family drama then went to see Raphael when he summoned me. He actually asked if I would be his bodyguard cause of my Mark, to protect him from Camille. Yeah, right. Of course he got all butt hurt and told me that if I ever lost the Mark I'd basically be at the top of the vampires to murder list. Nice, right? That's Raphael for you.

I often wonder, if Raphael were real, if he'd be like he is in the dreams. Same with Maia and Jordan. Given the choice of course, I'd choose to have Maia and Jordan around.

Perhaps it's ny mild hangover, but I think I've maybe had one of those dreams everyone talks about. Not that it's strange to dream of being in illicit situations with handsome men, but this one felt different. Very vivid, almost real. And I feel like I know this man somehow.

I may need a few drinks after this...

And maybe a one-way ticket to Brazil.

This year has certainly been rough.

So I think I’ve finally gotten over the most awkward way ever for my parents to find out I’ve gotten really serious with the guy I’m dating. They heard him in the kitchen making breakfast for us when they called to wish me a late happy birthday, and wanted to know why he was there so early and sounding so happy. I don’t think they liked hearing he was there so early because he’d spent the night. Which was also probably why he sounded so happy but I didn’t tell them that part. I think they might be willing to actually talk to me instead of shouting in about another week.

When you don't need to book flights or need passports or any of that, planning a honeymoon is extremely easy. All we need to do is decide where we want to go and make hotel reservations. If I haven't said it before, I really love being a Warlock sometimes.

Mine and Alec's bachelor party was this weekend and I once again want to thank Dorian, Jace and Izzy for putting it all together. You all went above and beyond what I could have expected.

I cordially invite all members of Valarnet to a Masquerade Costume Ball being thrown by myself and Vanessa Ives at our home on Halloween night. The ball begins at seven that evening and goes until two the next morning.

Given that it's now the eleventh, back home, I feel like I can make this announcement now.

In honor of Nation Coming Out Day, I have decided to open up a shelter for LGBTQ youth who have been kicked out of their homes. For the past few weeks, I have been working with my mother, who will personally run the establishment, to locate a building and make sure that it is all set up for its opening, today.

That being said, I will be out of town for a week as I will be checking it out, and to spend time with some of the kids that will be living there.

Hopefully, now, that it is up and running, things will calm down.

I feel like last night went on forever. Nightmares that wouldn't end of the Gateway between life and death. A thousand eyes staring at me and trying to shove information in my head at a million frames a second. Countless black creatures crawling at my body and literally eating away my arm and leg.

All these fun memories thanks to a creepy kid we found on Izumi sensei's island of misfit toys from beyond the Gateway. It's some creepy dollhouse nightmare shit that's for sure..Izumi doesn't seem to believe me that cabana boy isn't human but I swear I saw him...

And he has something of mine. He has my arm.

There's a couple making out in a booth at Chipotle. I'm legitimately waiting for them to start dry humping each other. Everyone is pretty obviously uncomfortable and like four people have left. You'd think my dreams and all the wanton public sex in them would have gotten me used to this but apparently not. Or I just don't like people fucking so close to my food.

I was going to wait till tomorrow night to take a break but if I don't take it, tonight, I will burn my house to ground. The things I do for friends...*cough*Magnus*cough*...it's a good project but I'm starting to dream about patterns and designs.

Never thought that I'd actually wish for the other kind of dreams that tend to happen around here.

Anyway, off to the bar I go.

I had a productive weekend...

I am, now, working on making some clothes for an upcoming wedding. That's rather exciting and the men involved in the wedding will also be used as models for more advertisement. They get some nice suits and I get some advertising...works for me.

Overall, the weekend went pretty well.

I, also, need to look into hiring more people. Why does college have to get in the way of students working? ;)

I'm not entirely sure what to say here. I've never really done anything like writing online before, but I was told to give it a try. That this is the way people communicate now. Not sure how I feel about it, but if this is the thing then I'll try it. At least it's easier than hand writing. My name's Iolaus and this semester I'll be teaching a class at UCI on Greek Mythology.

Anyway, it's a new month! Summer is almost over-ish...perhaps a summer party is in order.

Even if my dreams have tapered off - the new ones, anyway - apparently whatever powers that be feel it's prudent for me to still receive 'gifts.' The Wrath of Lovias sounds ominous, but it's really just a staff best used for channeling wintry magic - I know a few spells, but I'll have to work on more, even with me being down an arm for casting. The staff has an intriguing origin though, it's sort of designed after a staff belonging to the former Archon Lovias; an Archon is the mage who rules entirely over the Tevinter Imperium. But this particular Archon finally succumbed at age 89, which is a pretty good lifespan for medieval times, his death caused by choking on a fishbone of all things.

The whole story is the subject of a few comedic plays in Tevinter, which I did get to see the times I've dreamed of traveling there. Awful, but. Hilarious.

Anyway, I've gotten back to work with my regular client sessions and work with NAMI - the party to kick off their series of hiking events is coming up, and there are prizes available for the most creative hiking boots. I figure if you can spice up hiking boots, you probably deserve a prize anyway.

Hi everyone, I'm R and I'm drunk. English is too hard, it makes no sense and is a stupid language. And people bitch about the subjunctive and irregular verbs. You fuckers know nothing, good fucking god. All of your verbs are irregular and they make no sense. This is what you get from stealing from the Germans.

This has just been bothering me and I've lost the sense not to babble about myself. Last night I dreamed I was in Paris. Only it was different, in the past or something. But I was pretty much the same, just wearing a tie and taking even fewer showers than I do now. But I met some people through my friends Joly and Bossuet, a student group with a stupid shitty pun for a name. I like a good pun and all but seriously.

They're fun. I like them. They've become my friends. Most of them have, anyway, but their leader Enjolras, he hates me. And you guys don't understand, he's so pretty. Top three most beautiful people I've ever seen. Legs that don't end and an ass that don't quit and a voice like the angels breathing wrath upon the sinful. And holy fuck am I a sinner. I will gladly prostrate myself before him in hopes of getting a single burning touch, a lick of flame to tell me to turn away, that I am not worthy. And I'm not. I don't deserve to look at him.

I've never been good at acknowledging what I do and don't deserve, though. All I do is annoy him but a few moments of disdain are worth all the pleasure that I've ever known otherwise. I'm a little disgusted with myself. What else is new.

Oh dear, now we're stepping into the oversharing part of the drunkenness. I'll take my leave. If no one hears from me in two days the hangover finally killed me and you're all free of me. Congratulations.
