A slightly belated but still very happy birthday to the late Peter O'Toole is in order. He would have been eighty-two, on August 2nd.

I think that means I'm watching Lawrence of Arabia tonight.

So Yale astronomers have discovered seven new dwarf galaxies, using a new design of telescope. I find this very exciting but it did make me giggle that the headline they used was 'Snow White still missing' Scientists are so easily amused.

I feel it's very important that you all know that I've made Miis of all of you in my game of Tomodachi Life. It's making work way more funny, and now I'm having problems separating game canon from real life sometimes.

Like, Dick, my love, whenever you post I wonder why you hate green peppers so much you barf and lose half of your happiness bar. And Arya, why do you obsessively run on your treadmill at 3AM?

This game is strange, but it's making life more fun, so I guess that it's doing its job!

On my way to go pick up my parents from the airport. I'm rather glad they decided to delay their trip, as they missed out on the genderswap dilemma and the freak snow storm. That'd be rather hard to explain in the long run, particularly to scientists.

Has anyone seen this? I think it's absolutely wonderful what technology and medicine can do these days. A dancer who lost her leg is now able to dance again, thanks to modern technology, and I think that's fantastic.

It gives me hope for the future.

Woah, the Bachelorette is starting on Monday? It feels like I just started wanting to punch Juan Pablo in his smug little nose.

(Yes, I know they're not romantic at all and totally forced. THAT'S WHAT MAKES THEM AMAZING. It's like watching Darwinism at work.)

Hopefully this season won't have as many people randomly leaving. Hello, you signed up to be on the Bachelor/ette - you should've known the next eleven weeks would be spent with jerks.

Well it's out of my hands now.

My project has officially been completed and released to the companies it was promised to. If the limited release goes well, there will be a wide release later in the year, provided we can get production costs down by that time.

I feel like a mother bird watching her hatchling stretch its wings and fly out of the nest for the first time. Proud, but also anxious.

Is it weird to spend the entire weekend celebrating the fact I'm not a grizzly old man anymore? Because that's what I've been doing.

My father keeps wanting me to push up the release date of my product, but I had that date set for a reason. I want as much time as possible to work out all the bugs.

It's my first solo project, and the last thing I want to do is have to recall it because of something not working the way it should.

Still, it's nearly done, and I know it will be ready by the release date that I set for it.

I just wish he would trust me, sometimes.

I've spoken to quite a few people over the net now who have had dreams involving robots or artificial intelligence. I have to say, I'm completely fascinated by all your stories, and am eager to learn more.

If any of you would like to meet in person to discuss things further, I would greatly welcome the chance to do so. Also, if anyone has made any sort of drawings or schematics of their technology they'd like to share with me, I'd be honoured.

Please don't think, however, that any of this is to further my father's work or his business. This is simply for my own curiosity and enjoyment.

I'm very much heeding the advice and staying indoors. While this place is generally odd at the worst of times, the inclusion of a natural disaster doesn't particular put me at ease. At the very least, I'll be able to focus on a few personal projects I've got underway.

I'm sure everyone's read this enough in the past few hours, but, please, do be safe. When people tell you to stay indoors, it's generally wise to listen. And by all means (and I say this on behalf of Tony, who I'm certain will agree), to all Stark Employees, nothing you're working on is more important than your immediate safety. Please do not try to go to work until this has cleared over.

With all the work I do with artificial intelligence and robotics, I suppose I have a unique point of view when it comes to the creatures that science fiction seems to produce. But the similarity I've found between most of these books and movies boils down to one question: Can robots feel?

Technology is progressing by leaps and bounds, and yet that question still remains, as it has for decades. I've found myself pondering it, as we draw closer to Valentine's Day, which celebrates love in most all its forms.

Can a robot learn to love? Could we someday progress so far that something mechanical could learn to feel human emotions, as we feel them. Or will they always be subpar, in that respect.

I think the Consumer Electronics Show has been a great success so far. I've very much enjoyed all the presentations, and I'm enjoying exploring Las Vegas.

I'm presenting myself, tomorrow, and I'm a little nervous. I've never presented at a convention before. But I trust it will go well. I've got my speech memorized, and the displays are all in working order.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Those of you who know me, know that I severely dislike this time of the year; however, in attempt to be a more sociable and in lieu of a long overdue housewarming, I will be hosting a New Year's Eve party. Consider this an open invitation to my family, friends, and roller derby teammates and others lost on this our Island of Misfit Toys, whom have no place better to spend the countdown to midnight.

Party begins at 9 o'clock in the evening. You may bring a food stuff or liquor (Note: Those of you who are underage will not be imbibing alcohol that evening under threat of having activated charcoal pumped down your throat and into your stomach). Do dress for the occasion and should you have dog allergies or a dog-based phobia-- better luck next year.

Please RSVP below so I can have an accurate headcount.

[This intention for this open invitation party is for characters, both old and new, who might not normally meet to encounter and make connections. It does not matter if your muse knows Hela, she's feeling welcoming this night.]

Christmas creeps up on me every year, it seems. I suppose it comes from not having a very festive family, but I do like to celebrate it, in my own quiet way.

I did manage to get a tree up, and some lights and garlands, so my house looks very cozy and merry. Though other than the company party, which comes after Christmas so that our employees can spend some time with their families, I've no real plans.

What are your favourite Christmas movies?

I find it -- confusing that I'm as upset as I am about this, but I am.

Peter O'Toole passed away a few days ago, and I've been such a huge admirer of his, ever since I was young.

Not only was he a magnificent actor, but from what I've read of him and seen him in public functions, he was also a good person.

He will be sorely missed.

Hello, my name is David Weyland. I suppose I'm rather behind in joining this network, as I've been doing most of my social networking through our own site, but I was told it was a good place to introduce myself.

I work for my father, Peter Weyland, at Weyland Industries, and I'm very excited to be a part of the new and, might I say without sounding too full of myself, revolutionary technologies that will soon be made available to the general public.
