Seriously dreams? The three languages I speak already weren’t enough? You had to dump an extra two in my head? I didn’t even realize it until I was studying this afternoon and when I went to look back over my notes, instead of Italian because it’s still the easiest for me to read, I was writing them in Latin! LATIN! And I can understand classical Greek now. My head hurts

My dreams came back. Besides being sickeningly adorable with my girlfriend, I've been hard at work planning the rebuilding of the city after Kuvira's attack.

The president has been both an obstacle and taking credit, and is pushing us to get the job done in a time frame that's next to impossible. He just wants to win reelection and I just want to strangle him.

It doesn't help that I've been getting threats from one of the Triads. Protection racket, that sort of thing. Nothing I can't handle, though it took some convincing to get Korra to realize I can still handle myself.

So I've gotten used to waking up floating above my bed every now and then. It almost doesn't even phase me anymore. I'm just worried that Alex will come into my room one morning and find me floating in the air. I'm not sure how I'd explain any of this to her.

Anyway, I just woke up from a new dream where I had a doppelgänger who was the exact opposite of me. She was created by the head of Lord Technologies, Maxwell Lord to believe that Supergirl was evil. So where I have freeze breath, she basically breathed fire and had ice vision where I have heat vision. I tried to reason with her when it was clear that we were more or less evenly matched until the DEO showed up. They tried using green Kryptonite on her, but it had the opposite effect than it would on me. The next time we faced off they used blue Kryptonite on her and that weakened her where we could take her into custody.

During all of this, I tried to go on a date with Cat's son, Adam, but in the end, I decided that I couldn't have a normal life and relationship while also being Supergirl, because James had already been put in danger with Bizarro, which was what we called my doppelgänger so how could I potentially put someone else in danger if my secret identity was found out? Of course when I talked to Cat, the reason I gave, for dumping her son was that I was focusing on work instead of having a life.

And to make matters even worse, when I went home I got attacked by something with tendrils.

I can only imagine what's going to happen there.

Um, does anyone know how to fix a faucet? And a doorknob. I kind of broke them. I think it’s safe to say my super strength has crossed over. I’m currently writing this with the voice feature on my phone cause I’m afraid of breaking it. I’m so glad Alex isn’t home.

I may have overdone it with the Thin Mints this year. There's still a few hundred boxes in my office.

Apparently instead of rebuilding our barn that came down in January, my brother has gotten it in his head that he’d rather have a greenhouse. He’s already gotten the structure built. On the plus side, he’s going to be growing vegetables in there (which he has told me he expects me to use when I cook – twist my arm…). On the downside, though, I’ve lost my workspace to work on my own vehicles. I don’t want to take up a bay at Rainbow Motors that would be better used on a customer’s car for my personal projects. Does anyone have a space they wouldn’t mind renting to me?

Found the wreckage of the Enterprise. The alien that had led us to this planet turned out to have lured us with her story of distress, but I'd already figured that out and baited her myself. It was just me and Chevok until we found Scotty and an alien named Jaylah who's been hiding out in a cloaked, crashed Starfleet ship that's nearly a hundred years old. I'm going to assume that's our ticket offworld, if we can get her into the sky.

We know where the crew is. The only question is how do we save them?

While I appreciate that my brother loves me enough to visit me in the middle of the work week, I can’t say that I appreciate that he loves me so much that he thinks it’s okay to visit me in the middle of the work week.

That being said, I suppose it’s as good of a reason to go home on time as any. Now to beat him at chess and convince him that I don’t have any scotch.

I need to work on not being a hermit. Though, it's so easy when you just want to curl up in a ball.

In dream hindsight, the Winter Solstice being my birthday makes a whole lot of sense.

I would like to point out that, for the record, not only am I objectively a great driver, I know how to drive in the snow. Oregon is not California; a measly dusting like what we have here is not enough of a reason to give up and stay home. That being said, black ice should not be underestimated.

I'm not usually one to crowdsource my personal decisions, but I'm getting desperate: What does one get someone that they're dating interested in romantically involved with close to, when said person can literally buy and practically invent anything they would ever want?

I must say, I don't think I was expecting such a large community. Dreams aren't something that I would normally talk about with other people, but the one that I had was so vivid that I felt compelled to do some research on the internet and ended coming across this site.

Has anyone else dreamed that they were from a completely different time period?

Gotta say, not hating this weather. I was never a fan of year round summer. Makes me hate this season just a little less.

Thank god it's winter break. I seriously cannot stress how thankful I am that it's break already.

I fucking kissed my damn biology professor thanks to that stupid mistletoe that was running around last week. Thankfully it was on my way out of her final and I'll never have to see her again. But god was that completely embarassing. Ugh.

At least now I can try to relax, right?

I visited my dad in jail.

He actually seemed really... like he regretted his actions. Or at least what his actions did to our relationship.

I think the hardest thing about being a CEO of a new company during the holidays is learning to take care of your employees. Apparently I now have over two hundred (and growing) children whose schedules I need to balance, while somehow not shutting the whole office down for the entire month of December.

In unrelated news, I may need to hire a house sitter for next month. That, and get a more comfortable office couch.

I don't usually do this, but it seems time to make a change.

Citywide message board? Huh, that's kinda neat. Pretty handy and a little on the weird side. This seems more like Iris's thingBut hey. I'm pretty new to the area, in search of decent coffee. Keep in mind here the key word is decent. Starbucks does not make the cut. They only make me sad. And get my name wrong. It's only two syllables. how?

So, in my newest set of dreams, I ended up losing my powers. During my last fight I had ended up draining the solar energy from my body, which is what gives me my powers so I was completely powerless. I was basically human, which was so strange for me because I'd had powers the entire time I'd been on Earth. James explained that what had happened to me was something that has happened to my cousin before and would usually leave him powerless for about 48 hours. So at least I had an idea of how long I was going to be powerless.

Of course an Earthquake happened and I ended up breaking my arm, which you can imagine was strange to someone who is usually invincible. So with me out of commission, this guy named Maxwell Lord, who had decided it was his duty to start a smear campaign against Supergirl starts calling me the most unreliable superhero, but there was nothing I could do in this case. Well, nothing other than decide to go and try to talk to Maxwell on my own and try to get him to stop spreading panic. Who isn't surprised that he refuses to stop? Not me.

I then decided to try and stop a robber while powerless and actually got him to turn over his gun after appealing to his humanity.

After that, I did end up getting my powers back after getting a surge of adrenaline when there was an explosion at CatCo and I had to jump into action to save James who was helping people. I went to Ms. Grant afterwards, as Supergirl, to tell her that I appreciated she had gone on the air to tell people that they should act like superheros even though they aren't.

Of course, as I was leaving someone knocked me out. So I guess I have to wait for my next dream to find out what happened there.

You know, I just had a moment where I've been so busy with work and the general state of the world that I almost missed my birthday. I managed to put a reminder both on my phone and on my computer to call my brother on Thursday to wish him a happy birthday as well. He never would've let me hear the end of it if I'd forgotten our birthday. And remind myself our relationship isn't getting bad here

I did get an early birthday present from my dreams, though. One of these days I'm going to need either a bigger closet or a bigger flat to accommodate all of these things.

I escaped from the dungeon, but Hans found me. He told me I'd killed my sister with my powers. I just kind of shut down.

I've come to the conclusion that I've been wasting my life.

There's more to life than being trapped in a lab, being told what to make.

So, I won't anymore. As of today, I'm free to announce the creation of L, Incorporated (or, L-Corp, if you will), a technologies start-up that plans to modernize the industry from the ground up. And, frankly, I need you to come with me. I have investors, inventors, and connections already forged, but I need more.

I moved back to California after years in London at University and I feel like I'm in a waiting pattern. Waiting for job interviews, mostly, but also waiting to feel like I'm actually home.

Does anyone know if the dreams stop if we leave the network? I'm willing to try it, if so. I refuse to be held hostage by another version of myself's shitty life anymore.

I've always found Occam's Razor to be the most interesting of principles. Not just the law of parsimony, though it's saved me many sleepless nights. No, I mean the philosophy. The idea that the simplest of two ideas could and should be considered the correct one every time just never sat well with me, even as I saw how it worked, almost every time. In a world as complex as ours, with the consideration of emotions so extreme and illogical that they obey no law, how could that posssibly be true?

Today I get it. If someone disappears, is it more likely that they were kidnapped by someone they knew, or abducted by aliens? If a person is poor, is it more likely that it was a matter of circumstances, or meritoriousness? If one keeps losing those they care for, is it more likely that it's something to do with them, or with every single person that left them?

The simple solution is always the likely one. No matter how astoundingly unfair that may seem.



In unrelated news, I'm going drinking tonight, family be damned. Who's coming with me?

My mother called, did a spot-on impression of her dream self, and now my whole family's visiting for the Fourth of July. So, four days from now. Three extra people. In my two bedroom apartment. I'd like to say that I don't know how it happened, but I absolutely do: She manipulated me by dangling her approval in front of me like a gift. Either I need to grow some thicker skin, or that woman should join the CIA.

Probably both.

A rather substantial question, when considering theories on multiple worlds, is the question 'can signals be exchanged between worlds?' In some theories, no. Some even go so far as to say that alternate worlds are so far away that information signals cannot be exchanged between any two worlds. Individuals are bound to the 'parent' world and even though we have copies of ourselves in other worlds they are only counterparts of the individuals in whichever the parent world is. Though that begs the question, which is the parent world?

I think we all know that interaction, however, is possible. The dreams we experience are genuine pieces of knowledge about other worlds - we can safely say we know what our dream selves are thinking, correct? It's something I've been considering more and more as I attempt to couch my current research within previous findings. I'm always curious about how dreams play out for others as well, so if you have particular insights when it comes to interpreting the thoughts/actions of your other self, please, do share!

In other news, who knew you could send a Nutella bouquet to a friend or loved one? Whatever world we do live in, it is incredibly strange and fascinating.

My last dream wasn't as great as the first one. I made a mistake while trying to put out a fire at an oil tanker and the people of National City started to lose faith in me. My boss, who doesn't know I'm Supergirl, even ran a story called: Supergirl: Failure to Launch. And she wanted an interview with Supergirl, but I didn't want to do it and there was an alien insect on the lose that could turn into anything it wanted. And to make matters even worse, Alex was kidnapped by the alien insect and when I went to rescue her, I found out that my Aunt was partly behind it all. It wasn't exactly a nice family reunion cause my aunt was one of the bad guys. In the end it all worked out, for the most par, and I got some of my confidence back and even gave Ms. Grant an interview.

I know I can't wish for good, happy dreams every time, but I do hope there aren't too many crappy ones. I don't like thinking about bad things happening to Alex.

I'm not going to die in my dreams. The guy I thought would kill me, won't. He is going to cut off a piece of me. It won't be a finger. He promised me that much. He says my fingers are lovely. I guess that means he won't cut off my hands or arms either. Maybe a foot or just a toe? I could live without that.

I'm scared of waking up without a part of me. Hell, I'm terrified of going back to sleep. And it's father's day. I hate father's day. I'm scared my dad will call me when I'm awake.

Too scared to sleep, too scared to be awake. Is there a third option?

Scientists in Britain have the right idea! Developing tests to diagnose sad sheep. I find it's important to follow the news and world events, yes, but I think we all know how depressing that is these days - take the bits of good news where you can get them. Especially after the devastating blow that is the United States withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement. Egad, as we say in the laboratory...

But anyway, I do have a point to this post. Are there any telepathic types out there, willing to test a device meant to amplify brainwaves? Nothing painful or intrusive, I assure you - I received the plans and designs to build the device here, the same device in my dreams, which was destroyed after an attack on our facility. But here it would be used to study brainwaves - those who dream versus those who do not. Perhaps there are differences! I hope even the slightest bit of information would help us all better understand the dreaming phenomenon secluded to just Orange County.

I want it to be clear that I do not like musicals. I don't find them fun or entertaining, so much as a lot of... unnecessary noise. I find that life doesn't need extraneous singing.

Oh my god!!! Oh my god!!! I have powers! I had a dream and I had super powers!! I could fly! I stopped a plane from crashing! Oh my god!!! I'm never getting back to sleep tonight!! This is too exciting!!

Well, these dreams are...interesting. Apparently I was a soldier and fought in World War II. Or will fight, at any rate. Just got to boot camp. I wonder where I'll be sent to after I complete training.
