As an environmentalist I just can't get over the symbolism of launching yourself into space on what I'll charitably call a giant dildo.

Was walking down the street. This car turned left on the green arrow, and a motorcycle cop hit them side on because he didn't stop for the red light. Or even slow down.

Didn't have his lights on either.

Flipped over the top of the car, too.

On one hand, since I am a vegetarian, I appreciate the effort the company made in coming up with a nugget option for their product. On the other hand...could they not have come up with a better design for the packaging then ( Not filtered but cut to save friends page ) this?

Has anyone ever tried to find their people? Their dream people, I mean. Friends and family, that sort of thing.

I just feel closer to them than the last time I dreamed.

I've mentioned that I've been dreaming an alternate version of the events of the first time I was dreaming. In them, there are these ghosts that keep forcing us to go in one specific direction. They exist purely to ensure that fate or destiny doesn't deviate.

We beat them. We made destiny our bitch and now I don't know what's going to happen only that everything has changed.

I don't even know what set these changes in motion...

The good news is we rescued my friend in my dreams. We even picked up a new friend. This part was pretty familiar from the last time, except the mad scientist was even creepier and the implications of his work a lot more disturbingly clear.

We also discovered a handy holodeck type history of the world program that talked about Aerith's people, the Ancients. She's... the last one.

And our new friend gave us some new info that I don't really know how to process.

I woke up and the program was on my desk. I'm just not sure how to make it actually play.

Ever feel the need to do something. You don't know what, or where, just something and the only criteria is that it's not where you are?

During the whole chaos with the collapsing city, our ... friend ... was taken by Shinra. There's something special about her, and we're not about to let her be hurt.

Climbing 80 stories of stairs, though, she better appreciate all the hard work we're putting into saving her!

I've been trying to ignore my dreams for months, trying to keep myself awake much too long, but I guess eventually the thing I was trying to avoid would happen. I'd hoped these new dreams would not repeat all that death and destruction, and it did all happen ... differently.

But it still happened. The Sector 7 plate still fell, all those people still died.

After some creep decided to go off about the 'sexual marketplace' and how women are sixes going after tens who can only get fours in what I can only assume was an attempt to try and get me to go out with him... It's clear that men remain a mistake.

My dreams are kinda skipping around; I think because there's no main plot like my previous dreams.

This one involves King Trevor of Equis who is the rival of my father. He has a pet seal that he treats as his son and is named Trevor Jr (he even has a crown). My father and Flynn were trying to prank King Trevor by freeing Trevor Jr. I'm trying to figure out how to prank people because I'm not good at it. They do eventually free the seal, I learn how to prank, but then my next dream was getting an invite to Trevor Jr's wedding.

What.

Had another action packed dream. We ransacked a house, but there was walkers outside, so we couldn't stay. It's been like that for a while. We try to find a place to hole up but it's not long before we gotta move on. So Rick and me was out hunting and we saw a prison. Perfect place, right? With the fences and such.

We cleared the yard and spent the night there. And then we cleared out closer to the building and worked out way inside. Everyone claimed a cell in Block C, cause it was clear. I slept in the perch, ain't sleeping in no cage. Next day we were gonna clear out more, but we got surrounded, and Hershel got bit and we managed to hole up in the cafeteria. Rick cut Hershel's leg off since we know the bite infects, but it's the dying that causes a man to turn. So maybe we can save his life.

Ain't sure how he's gonna survive without one of his legs, but I reckon we'll deal with that if he survives at all. And then, shocker of all shockers, there were people in the cafeteria. Prisoners, probably. ZThey wasn't turned. So...that's interesting. But that was the end of the dream, that's when I woke up.

Collard green and black eyed pea soup simmering, deep cleaning mostly done... Happy New Year, let it be better than last. Bit strange being back after three years but life is strange like that.

I do so love when astronomical events occur, such as the Great Conjunction tonight as it's the first time in 800 years that Jupiter and Saturn will be this close and also visible from Earth as the last time, the glare from the sun's position impacted visibility.

Figured out my plans for Thanksgiving, pity I'll be alone for the holiday.

I'd hoped certain events would happen differently in my dreams this time, but it looks like the broad strokes still remain the same. Got through the haunted trainyard and they're trying to blow up the pillar holding the plate over the sector up.

Midgard is built on two levels; one level are plates where the middle class and rich people live, the areas below are the slums with everyone else. The company that owns Midgard is planning on dropping one of the plates onto the slums and then blaming my group for it.

We might still be able to stop it but the last time we couldn't. I keep hoping that because these new dreams are so different, maybe this will change.

Maybe it's a fool's hope.

I don't know how but my friends in my dreams are even hotter this second go-round.

I got wind of rumors that Shinra was going to collapse the plate above Sector 7 so I went undercover to get more information.

So there's this guy who runs a casino and entertainment district in the slums. Really skeevy, occasionally takes 'wives'. He's the one with the info, so I planned to get close to him.

Aerith and Cloud decide to try to save me. So that's how we all end up on dresses competing for this man's affections and I'm actually not surprised to say Cloud won. He was too cute not to win. But I wasn't expecting them and this was technically my first time meeting Aerith and I was pretty much immediately that Brooklyn 99 'I have just met her and' meme.

Anyway we threaten the man, get the info, then end up dropped into the sewers to fight monsters. while we try to get back to sector 7 in time to stop Shinra.

Again it's really similar events but they're playing out very differently. I definitely don't remember the trainyard being like that before and those new phantom things keep showing up.

Of course, I know they succeeded in dropping the plate the last time, but this timeline is different, maybe we can save all those people...

No dream this time but I woke up to a rather voluminous collection of poetry beside my bed. And all over my bed.

This 'Dandelion' was pretty prolific.

I didn't need another chefs knife, but it looks like I've got one now. It just randomly showed up. As did a guitar. Far as I know? I don't play guitar. Might as well learn, I guess.

Well shit. The gym I go to for my MMA training is closing. There are classes on my campus but a) I don't want to deal with idiot frat boys anymore than I already have to in class. And b) kind of want to learn more than just how to fend off somebody trying to assault me outside of a club - Nasir taught me that first few lessons. I want to learn more practical stuff living out here.

Especially since my abilities from the Dreams are apparently just going to stay more passive/get the hell out of the dangerous situation. Which great to be able to do but....not always helpful.

Reset?

Like it started out like I was dreaming all over again, with my childhood and my parents dying and then the attack on my town, but then different things started happening. Even Midgar seems different somehow.

There were things that were not there the last time and events that are happening differently.

I don't know what to think.

Felt like I got a memory dump after the last dreams. Sephiroth dropped a meteor on the city, but we managed to stop him and had... help in keeping the damage to a minimum.

Life went on after that, I guess.

Until people started getting sick. It naturally had something to do with everything that had happened to the planet during our fight with Sephiroth.

What happened after that was strange, like a part of Sephiroth had survived and was trying to come back through the people who were sick.

Honestly I keep getting stuck on that instead of the saving the world thing. Almost like saving the world wasn't actually the end.

You know those little ceramic houses people collect to make christmas villages to decorate with? Apparently they make Halloween versions of them, because Nico just bought every piece Micheals had and is busy trying to find outlets for them all in our living room.

While okay, this cake being animated when spun is kinda cool.... who puts popcorn on cake? And why is this in my recommended? I appreciate the pacmen, I kind of want my own animated pacman cake for my birthday now. Just... popcorn?

My dreams continue to be a trainwreck on both a personal and global scale so I took two weeks off of work and broke my personal punching bag plus two others at a local gym. Oops.

Started planning something to take my mind off of things.

Nefertiti just woke me up by crying out for me while dropping her toy mousie into my mouth, and I have never been more glad in my life that we don't have real mice.

When everything falls apart in your dreams and you don't have time to mourn someone you care about because the other person you also love is catatonic.

Like I know it's a magic thing, but how do we know all of this... magic and Dreams and everything isn't somehow the planet's way of... warning us of something, or defending herself?

Like anyone would have to twist my arm to use this thing. Kind of the highlight of my day when I'm not pestering the big grumpy bear. Something that he'll just have to get the hell over and he knows it. He loves me anyway.

Also, getting a bit bored. Might decide to head out on a midnight hike.

I've already seen enough here to know that the dreams were real, but I guess that I really have been getting them myself. It's the only way I can explain the bracelet from my dreams showing up on my wrist today. I really wish I dreamed of some space utopia instead of what I wound up with though.

I guess in my dreams, superheroes are real. But they don't come and save you when you need rescuing. They just crown themselves kings and queens of the new world order, and throw themselves a victory parade every year to celebrate the day they murdered the man who had tried to set us all free and to remind everyone that they're in charge now. I can't believe how many people believe the lies the churn out.

Everything seemed to be going well, too. But I guess the Dreams are like real life, someone you care about dies and the whole world teeters on the brink with ancient monsters and your other best friend loses his goddamn mind.

I'm not sure exactly what my cat has against the laundry, but every time we've got a load going? Apollo just sits there and meows loudly at the washer and dryer. Which is apparently gaining the dogs' attention and they start running when they hear him crying. The laundry room isn't big enough for the four of us. Ever tried to fold sheets while trying not to trip over a mastiff?

These dreams continue. I find myself reliving my childhood as I dream of another one. The similarities are unnerving.

My hatred towards my father only grows, and yet I find myself unable to do anything about it. This is frustrating.

I need something to let off steam. I am open to suggestions.

Sometimes my dreams give me a lot of entertainment. Like watching Barrett and Cloud go off on a date together after a fun day at the Golden Saucer.

At least it let me and Aerith have some girl time together.

I wouldn't say it's the worst thing, but it's a worst thing about my dreams, are my friends.

There are these people I'm traveling with and fighting with who I feel closer to than anyone I've met while awake.

I know their flaws and their quirks, I know them well enough that I'm able to tell when something bothers them. How crazy would that be if I ran into Aerith or Cloud or Barret and I already know them better than they know themselves?

A megacorporation totally has your best interests at heart when they collapse an entire section of the city just to get at a few rebels. They don't care about the planet why should they care about the slums?
