It's International Women's Day today.

There are so many wonderful women who have made incredible contributions to the world, maybe take a little time today to read about some of them. You may be surprised.

I thought I could avoid this "dream" phenomenon. In fact, I'd be more than happy to say this wasn't that at all, apart from the fact that I seem to seldom dream. And I should hope my own mind wouldn't create whatever it was that I saw.

Though dreaming of my childhood was not so bad. It was not remarkably different, save for it being set about one hundred fifty years ago. I had asthma and they treated it with cocaine, though that was employed quite a lot in medicine in those days. And then I ... Well. Things got a bit convoluted beyond that point.

Apparently I do not "get out enough" and I've been bullied into signing up for this. My brother invited me, and I suppose if he enjoys it, it probably isn't all that terrible. I am not keeping my hopes very high.

Since it appears I need to do a tedious introduction My name is Victor Frankenstein. I'm a recent graduate from Stanford and this summer I'll be starting my first year of residency with UC Irvine. I'll be working in pathology, both anatomical and clinical. If anything, I am looking forward to living in Orange County. I'm quite fond of the ocean, though each time I look to it, it brings to mind Poe's Annabel Lee or Coleridge's The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Not exactly a midnight feeding when it's 10:30. But close enough. What I wouldn't give for six hours uninterrupted sleep! I'm sure I'll get back to sleeping the night through. When he's eighteen.

I miss my bakery. :(

I guess dreams are a welcome distraction to all the crime going on lately. At least this one had some good parts.

Though I did wake up to find out Baxters was broken into so that was a downer. At least I don't have work? I think classes should get cancelled too.

The Bakery was broken into last night and as such is a bit of a mess today. Nobody was hurt thankfully but they weren't exactly careful when looking for things to steal.

Please note we will be closed for at least twenty four hours while things are fixed and tidied.

We have contractors working on it and hopefully they won't take too long to put everything right - I'm planning on using my charm to get them to work hard for us!

While things are being fixed you obviously don't need to come in to work but will be paid as usual. I'll message those working over the weekend when we know about the re-opening details.

Yay, look at me, I'm Interneting! This is where all the kids of varying degrees of cool go, right? I think my roomie's on here (hi roomie!), and maybe some people I know? Hopefully? 'Cause this is brand new information and all that, computers have never really been my thing until they were everybody's thing. I am, if nothing else in my dreams, a man who accomplishes what he sets out to do. Though one may perhaps use the term "man" lightly. It is a funny thing, to be dead for so long. Even now in the waking world I find that the idea of death does not bother me as it used to. In my dreams, the lives of others are hardly worth thinking about, I feel he delights in it, truly. Even just last night I dreamed of bringing misfortune upon the house of a charming young woman.

I have learned of a new trait I've picked up, in light of this. Garlic repulses me. A secretary at work brought a very pungent dish for lunch and I perhaps was too harsh on her found I had to excuse myself and leave early.

Anyone else give up on their New Year's Resolutions already? I only half-heartedly made one, and I think I'm about ready to give up on it.

I know we've come to expect snow in the OC around Christmas but this is a little early.

Daisy is becoming more and more proficient with the use of her Duplo sets. I came in her bedroom to find that she'd built an entire castle out of the blocks, and was using the tiny figures to have a pretend feast. Of course, without little, Duplo food, they were simply eating the giraffe. It was laying out on the table with all of the Duplo people around it.

Seems to me that would be a very strange Thanksgiving.

I'm sick of these fucking dreams. Every time I have them, things get wroes worse. At least I finally know what thhat chiips that chip is I found last month.

Inspired by my Pinterest Christmas Board, I'm making Cinnamon-and-Applesauce ornaments. But, Audrey, I know you're thinking, Christmas is like, two months away! And it is. But these ornaments smell like heaven, and can freshen the air of everything from a locker to a car. Or anything else you can think of!

Besides, cinnamon is one of those autumn spices. These little babies will continue releasing the beautiful cinnamon-y scent until New Year's Eve--moneyback guarantee!

Come on by Baxter Bakery, have a Pumpkin Spice Sparkling Latte and pick up an ornament to hang from the rearview mirror in your car. You won't regret it.

More Dreams last night. Not sleeping all that well, I think, because when I wake up in the morning it's like I've been running a marathon. I'm exhausted at work. I'm gonna need all the coffee. All of it.

I have an outie belly button. It popped out. This is so weird! But the baby's definitely in there, growing and swimming around. Merlin can regularly feel him or her moving now, and so can I. Obviously. Still having cravings. God, do I want tuna. And feta. Things I can't have!

I have an appointment for the BIG Ultrasound. Really excited about it. We're going in tomorrow, So I want to apologize to anyone in the IT department at Stark Industries for stealing Merlin away for a day. He's going to be a daddy in a few months, so he'll likely tkae a couple of days off work here and there. ;)

Still haven't figured out if we're going to learn the sex of the baby or not. I should probably speak with my husband about that. ;)

Hokay, so someone gave me the word that this was better than craigslist although not by much. Hi. I'm Astrid. I work at a vet, where we're trying to find the owners of this lost little beauty.



We've had her for a couple of weeks and no one's claimed her, except for a few bullshit animal hoarders. If no one does by today, we'll have to put her up in a shelter. I'd rather not have that happen.

I'd take her, but the apartment has a pretty lame no-pet policy.

So. I rolled over this morning and found a walking stick from my dreams. Well I'm guessing it's from my dreams. I haven't dreamed of this one yet. But. Where else would it come from around here? unless there are magical looking walking stick gnomes running around with the laundry ones.

Let me tell you rolling onto a walking stick is not a fun way to wake up. They're not comfortable.

So I got into a mood today and took my batcyclemotorcycle out. Got into some street races. Ended up smoking some people, including this hot little femme.

Had a good time.

I was just talking to my mom and they're expecting a storm Friday, so the fireworks that are at the Esplanade in Boston have been moved to tomorrow night. I can't remember a year that it ever rained on the Fourth of July. Pretty sure this is the first time they've had to change the date of the Boston Pops Fireworks.

All right, I'm curious about these Dreams. So many people have mentioned them... how do you know when you've had one? What are they like? And people say things COME FROM them? How does that work??

I'm not one to post pictures of my McDonalds meals. This is something that I made and actually think I outdid myself this morning.

I like to pretend father's day doesn't exist, but I did give Roth a call on Sunday.

We're in Japan, and my future inlaws are making me a little crazy.

I am so sore. And tired. I've been working so hard getting things ready for the wedding at the end of the month! It's very exciting. Our first big catering gig. And getting the kids all ready to go has been a bit of a hassle, too. Hiring on new staff to watch the bakery while a select few and I head to Scotland for the wedding. Then home again as soon as possible.

Summertime means higher temperatures (frosty weekends not withstanding) so come on in to Baxter Bakery for iced lattes and mochas! They go especially well with sparkling milk. We've got a wide range of fruit pastries and salads for sale, too. Buy one of each and get a cookie on the house!

I really enjoy taking the dogs with me on my runs in the morning. They have fun playing in the sand and get their exercise at the same time. Considering how rambunctious they usually are, they're pretty well behaved when I take them out even without leashes. I know that I probably should have them on leashes, but it'd be hard to run and hold leashes at the same time.

That moment when you go to the bathroom and a roach is swimming in your toilet.

So, I have my third dog. He, like the other two, is a rescue.
