I feel like it's a rule of thumb that if you come across a deserted funland amusement park, you shouldn't just wander around it. Same goes for movie sets that are being terrorised and circus' with crazy clowns. Seems like dream Mystery Gang just want to put themselves in scary situations.

I'm kinda annoyed that I keep getting kidnapped in these dreams though, and my hair is ruined almost constantly.

At least I can always rely on Scooby to save me.

Happy Halloween!

I have done that terrible owner thing of making sure that my dogs are dressed up to the delight of the children that might come trick or treating. Mindy will be dressed up as a bee, and Nora has a teddybear costume. Wish me luck in wrangling these onto them!

No dream this time but I woke up to a rather voluminous collection of poetry beside my bed. And all over my bed.

This 'Dandelion' was pretty prolific.

I could really do without that dream.

In light of recent events, and because I'm definitely sure I will not be going out into anything like that if it happens again, I've contacted to have a panic room installed.

Scooby and I will need to find somewhere else to stay for a week or so at the start of September, but on the plus side, Scooby and I will also have somewhere safe to stay, with supplies and power, if something like that happens again.

I'm just really glad that everything turned out okay.

So, like, does everyone only just talk about dreams? I want to talk about hot guys!

Things I am learning from my dreams;

• People will just let teenagers go anywhere. Closed museums, abandoned castles, empty fun parks, haunted movie sets. It's all good.
  
• Scooby (and Shaggy) should be exceptionally overweight, fighting diabetes and high blood pressure, or potentially dead from the amount of food eaten in the space of one night.
  
• Some people come up with exceptionally elaborate plans to scare people away in order to obtain family fortunes, escape with money or just plain old fashioned revenge.

The whole thing is a little implausible, but over all we do seem to just stumble on a mystery very easily.

There was a new collar left for Scooby today, the one from the dreams. He seems to really like it at least.

After that dream? I don't think I ever want to fly again.

Thank fuck that bad weather's over. I fucking hate the cold, ironically.

Stables were fine, even though the horses were spooked by those walking piles of rocks.

I think I'm glad for a brief reprieve from the drama of my dreams; I'm just wandering through a misty wood with some dryads. No centipedes, no monsters, just this grumpy white-haired man and some really beautiful dryads.

I really don't know what to think about these dreams.

I had another one last night. Just as surreal as the first one.

Meeting former work colleagues is never easy, but meeting them while you're dressed down, no make up and walking your insane dog is probably the most awkward.

I have no regrets about my life, or where I am and what I'm doing, but man when a fully made up diva looks down her nose at you, you feel it.

I totally should've dropped Scooby's leash and watch her freak out as he barrelled towards her. But she'd probably have reported him or something and I don't wanna risk something happening to my giant dork.

Ugh. I hate how high school it always feels meeting her.

Welp, it looks like mystery solving is either really well paying, or our parents are bank rolling this fun break from learning actual educational things.

I mean, sure, the mystery solving is honing our deductive reasoning, and logical thinking is a huge part of it. Fred's traps are... well hit and miss, but there's probably some physics in there too. Velma doesn't need to worry about a thing, I guess, and I do still get to use make up knowledge to solve some of these. I just wish I got to change out of the purple sometimes. It's nice, but it's not a statement colour.

Of course, then you've got these people, dressing up and trying to scare folks so that they can make money or get away with something. I suppose that's another life lesson? Take responsibility for your actions or some group of meddling kids will come along and unmask you?

I don't even know anymore, I'm still waiting for Scooby to suddenly start talking and for me to understand him.

Okay so I had the best day ever yesterday! My lunch did get stolen by an Ewok but, like, I really don't care. Whoever organised this whole thing is like the best.

I mean the shooting and stuff was kinda scary, ngl. Felt pretty dangerous.

I spent all day convinced I'd just talked to Shaggy, like we'd had a phone call in the middle of the night or something. And he does call sometimes, because he misses Scooby and we've Skype'd a few times so that Scooby can see him and hear him. But it was so convinced we'd talked last night, but there's no history on my call log and my Skype hasn't been on since our last video chat.

Then I figure out what it is.

He was in my dream. With the rest of the gang, solving an old mystery about a Black Knight and a curator trying to embezzle a museum. It was pretty wild, but it's made me miss going to museums too.

So no one was going to tell me that Johnny Depp joined Instagram? I had to find out all on my own! How is this not a bigger thing? It was all over the place when Jennifer Aniston joined and broken Instagram, but no one is telling us about this?! I've lost all faith in entertainment news.

I forgot how much I enjoy work. Definitely not the travel aspect, or even the long days, but just doing something. I missed it for sure.

And I've just found out how much Scooby hates when I work. My living room really suffered my missing our afternoon walk. Whoops?

At least I don't have anything overly valuable.

In the continuing adventures of ten-year-old dream!me is a dumbass, after running into some mysterious mists to get away from people, I ended up cornered by a giant... centipede? But like, a giant death centipede.

I got saved by a white-haired man who had yellow eyes and the biggest, shiniest damn sword I've ever seen. He told me to climb the tree, then struck it down in the most epic fight.

Okay legit the best thing I have seen on the internet today.

I mean you gotta give her credit for her ingenuity and creativity but they still look like what she's trying to get away from.

Jesus, that was a rough shift.

Huge traffic accident with multiple victims and some of which had to be cut out of their cars so the hospital was sheer insanity.

I should probably Uber home and not drive or I might end up causing an accident myself.

Between the drink that lasted two hours with this girl talking about herself the whole time (not my idea of fun), Scooby's groomer not knowing how to handle a Great Dane at all, the DMV arguing with me about my own age and my bank freezing my card due to 'suspicious activity', I've been having a bad day.

I hate having to call my parents for help but I literally cannot argue with the DMV and the bank all on one day.

Boy do I need a drink.

Wow, so I got a recommendation to check this place out for meeting people and connecting to folks around Orange County, but I'm starting to wonder if this is just a little bit too strange, even for me!

RENT Live was every bit as amazing as I hoped it would be. I'm not crying, I swear. My eyes are just leaking.

I'm really glad the government reopened, even if it's just for three weeks, and that man caved like a house made of cards. There were so many people going without their jobs or being forced to work without payment, not to mention all the little things that we take for granted that weren't being done. Like food inspections. I mean, we already found out in November that salad wants to kill us all. Without people doing the job of inspecting it, it can. On the other hand, it makes me sick he's using it as a diversion tactic to keep everyone talking about something other than another of the people that worked with him getting arrested, making it closer until he goes, too.

In less political news, I really, really hate Tumblr's new policies. Let's ban everything not safe for work, but surprise! The porn bots aren't going anywhere. Instead, let's flag my perfectly innocent photograph of our pet bunny as porn for no reason.

Look, I get that Flopsy is naked. In my defense, you try to find pants that will fit a dwarf rabbit, then we'll talk. What part of a rabbit cleaning her face looked like porn to you?

Found one of my employees at the bar skimmin' out of the cash register.

Turns out he's been havin' problems at home. Suspended him for the week and told him next time to come an' talk to me.

There really ought to be some sort of rule about standing right in front of the time clock messing with your phone while waiting to clock in. Especially when there’s a line of people behind you waiting to clock in. You can’t clock in for 15 minutes and want to goof off on your phone while you wait? Fine. Go for it. I don’t care. But don’t do it right in front of the clock so no one else can clock in! We have to be in position on time if we don’t want to get in trouble with our supervisors! And it’s a bit difficult moving quickly in some of the costumes.

Now I'm not saying that I relied solely on Tumblr for my porn, but it was definitely convenient.

Right, so. Looks like the Snowmen are back after not showing up last year. What you need to know.

1. Psychic snow. So basically if you think about them, more will form.
2. Picture them melting.
3. DON'T THINK ABOUT THEM LATER. Since as point 1 notes, they will just re-form. Yes, I know this is easier said than done.

If you love musicals, 80s nostalgia, or just don't have any plans for Saturday night, you should come to Chapman University's opening night of Heathers this weekend to see Alice Liddell and I perform! Everyone has been working really hard on this, and I really can't wait for it to finally pay off. Everyone is absolutely amazing in their role. (I might have started crying in dress rehearsal for Seventeen Reprise)

On a completely unrelated note, if you wanted to smuggle an outfit home that technically WAS made to fit you, but is university property, how would you go about that?

Thanks to all the sales this weekend, I have a good chunk of my Christmas shopping done and even bought a few things for myself. I won't lie, sometimes I enjoy sitting in my own living room and listening to Christmas music as I do some on-line shopping.

Speaking of Christmas music, what's everyone's favorite and least favorite Christmas songs? My least favorites are Last Christmas and Christmas Shoes. As far as my favorite, it's so hard to narrow it down.

I know exactly why I won’t be making the crossover into acting - I enjoy food too much to ever agree to just eat rabbit food. Or pizza with a knife and fork. I’d rather be a healthy weight for my frame than skinny because I practically starved myself. Now that I’ve confessed that - anyone feel up to joining me for dinner tonight? I’m thinking beers, cheeseburgers and onion rings. Or fries. Or maybe both.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with their friends and family yesterday. What was your favorite part of it?

Mine was definitely when my drunk aunt Gladys told my sister Dorothy that her husband was cheating so she could steal the last piece of pecan pie from her.
