Hello! I thought I'd introduce myself on the network since I'm new to Orange County. I am a transplanted Chicagoan--I came to California for college and ended up staying.

My name is Hank McCoy (I do have a couple of Ph.Ds, but there's no need to call me "Doctor" unless you want to) and I'm in biochemical research, currently. I enjoy cultural events in addition to science--I have a great love of music, musical theatre, and drama.

Now that I've had some time to begin adjusting to life in California, I think it's time I introduced myself.

I'm Dr. Irene Adler. I'm a clinical psychologist, and I've just started taking patients at my new practice in at [address] in Newport Beach. In addition to general therapy, I also specialize in helping people deal with grief and with the mental and emotional aspects of moving forward after physical trauma.

California is certainly warmer than New York.

Another dream, another night. Although this time it was more vivid than the last. I wonder just how real these are. It made it hard to focus on work this morning. I was pretty sure the stuff of my dreams was going to walk through the garage doors. I need more coffee for this.

Also all my laundry is folded. Dude, I leave that shit in a pile when I'm done, who snuck in and folded laundry? even the shop towels I brought home are neat.

I'm rather excited. In addition to my weekly performance in Los Angeles I've been asked to write a weekly horoscope column in the Orange County paper. In celebration anybody who brings in the column for the first month it's printed will get 20% off the admission to my psychic evening.

Oh I apologise I'm getting ahead of myself, for those who don't know my name is Vanessa Ives and I've recently moved to Irvine from the heart of LA.

Nothing like a change in scenery to reinvigorate a person. I'm looking forward to some extended time on the west coast; it'll beat the weather in Chicago, anyway.

Oh. I'm Alana. I'll be taking over a practice for a friend for the foreseeable future, she mentioned maybe joining a network might be a good way to jump right into things.
