Today I had a client ask we tell the caterer he wanted candle salads as a starter dish. And I've never heard of a candle salad before. So I looked it up. Okay fruit salad of some sort, but why is it called a candle salad?

So I kept scrolling to the finished picture. And um.

I don't really have much (any) experience in that area, but that really doesn't look like a candle to me, and I can really only think of one way you'd eat that.

Did I mention this event was a wedding rehearsal dinner? How much do you have to hate your in-laws?

Nico let me know he was expecting some packages soon, which. Normal. We both order a lot of stuff online, and he's an artist and always has a steady supply of sketchbooks and canvases so he doesn't run out. So I didn't really think anything of it when I saw the huge box on the porch today.

Until he opened it. And the entire thing is antique or reproduction cookbooks.

I'm not going to lie. I'm scared.

So a while back, I had a dream where I met a girl at the bus stop. She was headed to California. Ran into her again, in Chicago. Something about it didn't sit right, and it turns out she is a scorcerer. She'd called up some shadow demons, called Daēvas. She caught me and Dean, but we were really just bait, she was fishing for our dad.

We finally saw him, reunioned with him for a hot minute. The Daēvas attacked, but we got away from them. And then parted ways with Dad. He's on a revenge mission to kill the demon that killed my mom, but you know. Has no idea how to actually kill a demon. Insists he has to do it alone, for now.

It's a lot to process. But in other news. I'm starting a new job with a new firm in a week and a half. So there's that too.

Having this service dog really has made a difference. I never really bought into the whole emotional support dog thing, but I'm glad I looked into it. Since he's been with me, my anxiety has been reduced at least by half.

Been a while since I had a dream. Tried to enter my dojo in a karate tournament, but because of the shady things that went down in the 1980s,m Cobra Kai was under a lifetime ban. I went to the committee meeting to try and get that over turned. Of course my teenage nemesis was on the committee. He tried his damnedest to make the others vote against me, but I told them how my Cobra Kai is different, it's a place where kids can go to feel like they belong. In the end, they voted to allow Cobra Kai to enter the tournament, so I signed us up on the spot. I just hope these kids can get their act together before the big day.

I finally understand pet owners. Why they always have so many pictures of their pets. I was looking through my pictures just now and realized that the majority of my camera reel is BB-8. They’re all almost identical, but I realized that I find myself taking pictures of him randomly every couple of days. When did I become such a droid dad?

I swear, I really hate the dreams. At least we weren't harmed in this one. So, dream!Me went off with her big brother to find a way into Mount Weather because that's where 47 of our people are. While we were off trying to find a way in, we were accompanied by a couple of guards from camp.

I'm not a fan of bugs, but there was a ton of them. They were running away, though. Come to find out they were running away from the acid fog. So, dream me followed them and found some moss/tree covered door and had Bell along with one of the guards get it open. It's basically a garage full of old vehicles. Makes you wonder how long ago those vehicles had been used.

So Scott, the guard, hands big brother a gun and decides HEY, WE LOST ONE GUY SO LETS THE FOUR OF US SPLIT UP. Him with his guy and me with my brother. Except that not too far in we heard screams from Scott. Follow the screams and well... Reapers got a hold of them. One of the Reapers was Lincoln. See why I hate these dreams now?

So, myself and Bell found a hiding spot in the garage and used me (my idea not his) as bait in order to get Lincoln's attention. When he came for me Bell used the baton to basically zap him. We've got every intention of taking him home and trying to fix him.

So this is the Valar net. Cool. I'm Gale. Lived in the OC my whole life. I own the Peppy Pie pizza joint, so there's that. I really don't know what else to say. Uh. I live with two dogs, two cats, all rescues who are living their best life now. Am I supposed to say I like long walks on the beach, and preferably after dark? I don't know. One of my customers suggested I check out the network, so here I am. I'm really not sure what to say, or whatever. So, hi, I guess?

Has anyone watched that Crime Scene series on Netflix? The one about the Cecil Hotel? Watched it the other night with Eliot and Margo and it is so bloody fucking creepy! There is so much about that case that just doesn't make sense. Yes, it makes sense in the long run, but it still doesn't make sense. I still have so many questions

It absolutely makes sense that it was one of the inspirations for the Hotel season of American Horror Story.

I finally understand why Klaus' dream last month freaked him out so much. I mean, aside from being kidnapped and tortured, seeing so many ghosts like that would freak anyone out. Not me apparently though, but then again I'm also a ghost, in the dreams. So other ghosts don't exactly freak me out. But I can understand why it might traumatize someone else cause if I were in that situation and I wasn't a ghost, I'd definitely have been traumatized.

So what were the odds that both of my sisters were going to end up leaving town at the same time? I kind of expected that Katherine and Enzo might leave at some point since Enzo kept opening clubs all over the place, but I wasn't expecting Elena to get a job offer that would cause her to move too. Katherine had already moved out when she got married, but now that Elena is gone too, this house seems so big. I wouldn't dream of selling it though. Ali actually moved in, so I'm not by myself, but I'm wondering if maybe I should rent out the other two bedrooms.

After some creep decided to go off about the 'sexual marketplace' and how women are sixes going after tens who can only get fours in what I can only assume was an attempt to try and get me to go out with him... It's clear that men remain a mistake.

Thank goodness Valentine's Day is over! That's definitely one of the busier holidays for baked goods and desserts around here.

Now I've got to set my sights on St. Patrick's Day, which probably be just some Irish inspired items like rye bread and random green items like shamrock shortbread cookies and maybe a Bailey's mint pie or some kind of dessert with Guinness since so many people just celebrate the day without being Irish.

Then we jump into Easter. This beginning of the year is always insane with holidays.

You know... it's pretty bad when a three year old understands the use of a service dog better than people do.

When you're out with your husband and daughter, and it's your daughter who tells someone off for trying to mess with daddy's dog. Telling them that it's not a pet. It's there to help her daddy. My little girl is definitely fierce, that's for sure.

So I finally had some of those dreams I always see people talking about. They were...intense to say the least. And some of it was very close to my own life. Is that usually the case for people?

So the cutest thing happened today. I decided to stop for coffee on the way to work, treat myself. A family was in line in front of me and the little girl looks at me than aggressive declares as she points at me to "Don't stop smiling today."

I replied "Yes, ma'am!"

She replied with a growl "Good!" and than her dad turned her around, telling her she wasn't suppose to speak with strangers and her mom looked over and mouthed "sorry,' I shook my head at the apologize, "It's fine," I mouth back and we both smiled at each other.

Took a train to Denver, Colorado to get a car and then drove to Kansas from there.

So DreamJake knows sign language. Which means that is no different from what I, myself, know. But he's been gone from Jericho for five years. Told his best friend that he had been around in the Army, but was only there to see his grandpa.

Well, his mom is better at understanding than the old man. Something about money for a clean start, grandpa gave the old man control over it. But DreamJake didn't stick around, he had to leave to go to San Diego the next day or be there by then, at any rate.

ALSO, OW. DreamMe had his car hit by someone because we both saw some kind of smoke off in the distance.

Car crashes suck. Also, those injuries? Slipped through the dreams. So, even more OW.

Dream!Jake is limping around, found a school bus full of kids. Wherever he was at before all of this? He has some kind of medical training. He did a tracheotomy on a little girl and used straws taped together to help her breathe. Supposedly he learned it in military school.

He did, however, manage to get the bus back to town. Despite the injuries.

And I know the girl, Aimee. That's an interesting turn.

So, do you have the same fear of horses that dream you does? So, I know what not to do if I take you out anywhere.

I thought I'd seen everything since moving to California but today proved me wrong. I stopped to fill Maman's gas tank up after picking up the pups from the vet after their appointment and while I was inside paying for the gas, a man walked past me to the beer cooler, grabbed two cases of beer and walked out the door. The cashier didn't even pause other than to page for the manager to describe the guy to them.

I got kicked out of my own kitchen today by Haruhi and Maman when I was trying to help them with the cooking.

The fire was entirely accidental!

I don't know who is worse about giving me the puppy dog eyes when I'm cooking, my boyfriend or the actual dogs. Both here and in the dreams, I'm honestly not convinced he's not a golden retriever that somehow became human. And unlike some of you, there's actually nothing like that in our dreams. No science fiction, no magic. It's just who Tamaki is as a person.

I love how Alice and I look like we're going to vastly different Christmas parties. She's in like... three layers of clothes before her dress even starts and looks like an extra from A Christmas Carol. Meanwhile I look like I'm in that one scene from Mean Girls.

I don't get what part of being out in public reading means "Please bother me". I don't want to talk, I want to read. I don't want to tell you what I'm reading or what it's about. You can google that. Just let me live, people. I just want to sit outside and enjoy fall break.

So, anyone around tomorrow for a game of football? I was gonna make this post yesterday about today, but I figured people would probably be busier today with it actually being Thanksgiving and all. Tomorrow though, I figured more people would be free. So, anyone up for a friendly game of football?

For anyone who ever wondered where I get my impulsive nature the answer is clearly Maman. Who decided today that she wants to cook Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.

Well, that was...anticlimactic. Went to see my mom. In the dreams. She blew me off. Introduced me to her latest pet project as "one of her boys". Yeah. I'm her son, her only son. The rest of them are charity cases or something. I don't even know. Just explains a little of why I turned out so rotten in the dream world.

So you know how before Halloween I usually bug everyone here about the local Rocky Horror midnight showing and I didn't this year? There was a reason for that. This year's musical at school IS The Rocky Horror Show, and I got the part of Columbia! I figured I'd let someone else take her for the RHPS shadow cast this year and focus my energy on being the best Columbia I can be on stage. As usual, the first showing will be in December, and I'm looking forward to seeing all of you there! (Thomas, can you distract my parents from... any parts you know they're not going to want to watch? Thanks!)

Well, I've lost Tamaki into a phone game. I guess it could be worse, it could be an MMORPG of some sort instead of teddy bears running a farm. What if the humans come back and want their farm back from the bears?

I'm so sad, for the first time the girls wanted their own costumes that they picked out separately. Not a family costume and not twin costumes. I get it, they're getting older and want to start slowly expressing themselves their own way. And I don't want to get in the way of that at all. I'm just not ready for them to grow up yet. Or course, I'm sure it's harder on Amycus. He's been their dad longer after all.

Still, Madison makes a cute fairy. Laurel wanted one of those inflatable T Rex costumes, but that wasn't happening, that's too expensive for something she's going to grow out of before next year. So she's having to settle for a plush T Rex costume. She's still a cute T Rex, though. Now if I can just keep them from getting their costumes dirty before Saturday.

I know it's a little last minute, but, if you don't already have plans for Halloween, we're doing a murder mystery show at The Cellar. Yours truly is starring as the seductive songstress and the food will be to die for. I hope to see at least some of you there, it's definitely going to be an epic evening.

School it's so bad in my dreams, I mean I'm dealing with popular girls being bitches, but other than that, I kinda like it. I'm still on the task of getting the wand for mother, but I'm going about it another way, which I'm not too fond of. I gave the Prince spelled cookies for her could fall in love with me.

I know, I know, but the thing is...I think I'm falling for him? Weird.


Also woke up to my mother spell book in my bed.

Casper got himself into some trouble last night - he figured out how to open the door to Maman's bedroom and went inside to sleep on the foot of her bed. I understand she's upset that he came upstairs when he's not supposed to but I think it's very smart of him to have figured out how to open doors. And he didn't make a mess in there - he just slept.

Do people with normal eyes forget people that wear contacts or glasses are blind as a bat without them? Don't wake me up and ask me to look at something. Because I honestly don't know what I'm looking at when I don't have my eyes in.

So, I might just forgo my writing for a bit. Most of my writing requires quite a bit of research and I just don't have the drive for that right now. I know there's friends I can ask, but I just can't.

Which means trying to find things to do because walking with this damn thing is painful and I just... need something.

I'm sure I'll find something else to preoccupy my mind. Or use old research, but anything new isn't bound to happen.

Does anyone know how to repair a stuffed animal? Duck's head tore off this afternoon and Marc is very upset. He hasn't panicked this badly since Maman's last round of tests

Part of me was hoping when I saw the headline that signs of life were found on the planet Venus, that maybe they saw the ruins of my castle or something, but nope. Just chemicals in the clouds.

Supposedly I prefer chicken tinga over chicken mole. And my brother doesn't know not to sauce the sauce.

Well, dream version of my brother can be a dick. Okay, or maybe the dream versions of us are a bunch of dicks and brats. Dream me is all about correcting everything Seth says. And huh... seems that the lucky knife in the dreams is one that showed up here.

Dream me also seems to know a lot about... movies, I guess. These dreams are really screwed up. Also, duct tape is not good for injuries. Dream me is an idiot. And dream version of Seth thinks he can be 'fixed.'

Does anyone else have random conversations about things, and then facebook starts hitting you hard with ads on whatever you talked about? It's a little bit creepy. Not that I have anything against tea, ever. But I haven't been searching for it online or clicked on anything for it. But because I talked out loud to Dad about seeing a video of tea changing color, facebook is giving me ads about tea and only tea.

Aslan, Chip, and Apollo would all like to let you know that I am in fact the world's worst dad because there were strangers in the house and I closed them in a room to keep them from running out to inspect/greet/trip said strange people. It doesn't matter that they had food, water, and a litterbox dragged into the room for the small time they were in there. I apparently deserve the shunning I'm getting.

In other news, when people come to deliver things to your house, does anyone else feel awkward? Like am I supposed to offer them coffee? Would it be weird? Or is it rude not to?

I don't understand why people have children and bring them to stores if they're not going to watch them. I was shopping today and there were these two little obnoxious kids running around and hiding under the racks. Where was their mother, you ask, she was in one of the fitting rooms and didn't come out until her fucking devil spawn pulled down an entire rack of extremely expensive dresses. This was also after they had run into me multiple times. I was tempted to use magic on them, but I thought that might be going a little overboard. I think that shows growth. But honestly, people who aren't going to watch their kids shouldn't take their children out.

You can only keep one, the other ceases to exist.

Kittens or Puppies

Have any of you ever had a realization about a game after years of playing it that after you realize it is just so obvious that you can't figure out how you never got it before? That was me today with Pokemon Go. Ekans is just snake spelled backwards and it's the name of a snake pokemon.

I literally...just remembered today is my birthday.

My dream life just never gets a break. This time, when the group of us was headed back to the highway, some chick rides up on a horse just in time to save Andrea from a walker, and she's looking for Lori, says Rick sent her because the kid's been shot. The boy, Carl. Not the girl we're looking for. So Lori goes off with her, and the rest of us head back to the highway. Group's split up now, and we gotta make a choice. Go to the farmhouse where the chick on the horse took Lori, or stay and keep looking for Sofia. Ain't no easy choice, and me? I'd rather stay and look for that little girl, but I think we're gonna go to the farmhouse a few miles away.

My real life isn't so high adrenaline. The restaurant is doing well, we're making a decent profit. But I got a couple positions I need filled. So. Yeah. Anybody's looking for employment in the restaurant business, I might have something for you.

Success! Maman has decided with everything that happens around here she would feel better if Casper lived inside the house with us and the dogs. So now I just need to take him to the vet to get his shots and a collar and he'll be safe inside from anyone trespassing in our yard. She says his bed will have to be downstairs in the living room but that's fine. He's going to be in the house now.

Had another cycle of dreams and I honestly feel like I'm starting to get whiplash or something. My life seems to have more twists than an M. Night Shyamalan movie. Only you know, it's my life so... Or dream life anyway. Either way, I'm feeling more than a bit overwhelmed. I don't even want to go to sleep, because who even knows what's next at this point!

So.... is there any sort of consensus or whatever on how similar the Dreams mirror your lives? Obviously not like magic or the time period or anything like that since that seems something only here. But....events or dynamics or something?

Also...can you have a nightmare in a Dream? Is that a thing? Like you wake up from a nightmare but you're still in the Dream that people talk about on here? Also why is part of my hair white?

So. I think I understand why you all talk about dreams so much. because I had one last night that was super intense. Like it started with me going to my best friend's house and hanging upside down on his front porch which seems like a thing I do often, cause I was really comfortable with it and it just felt normal. But then we went looking for a dead body in the woods, because I'd been listening to my dad's police scanner cause he's the sheriff. He caught me, I abandoned Scott in the woods and the next day he said he got attacked by something, like a wolf but there are no wolves in California.

I started putting the pieces together, and realised my friend had been bit by a werewolf. Completely absurd, I know. He blew me off, but then he invited the new girl to a party and the party was the night of the full moon and I had a really bad feeling about it. I did a lot of research and when Scott came over, he got really angry with me which never happens because he knows how I am, and he slammed me into the wall and I thought he was going to hit me, but he didn't and he went to the party, but he had to leave because he started turning into a werewolf!

LYDIA! You were there and you like completely blew me off. Like that was normal. So rude! And DEREK was there too! Being broody and creepy and sulky too.

Wait, did Kanye West really announce he's running for president or was that a joke? Cause I really can't tell. Although, I'm guessing that everyone else is pretty much in the same boat.
