Thank goodness Valentine's Day is over! That's definitely one of the busier holidays for baked goods and desserts around here.

Now I've got to set my sights on St. Patrick's Day, which probably be just some Irish inspired items like rye bread and random green items like shamrock shortbread cookies and maybe a Bailey's mint pie or some kind of dessert with Guinness since so many people just celebrate the day without being Irish.

Then we jump into Easter. This beginning of the year is always insane with holidays.

Why is it that every bar I go to today has football on. Some of us don't give a shit.

It's rough when your dreams give you some insights into some actions that may need to happen in your life here. My mother has been suffering from memory loss in the dreams and I made the decision that it was time to put her into a home so she could have people watching over her all the time because I'm not able to be around 24/7. It was a tough one, but I think it was ultimately for the best.

I did finally get a gift from the dreams though. I asked Guerin to fix up the sign for my bar in the dreams and a smaller version (thank goodness) showed up here.

Okay, I hadn't had any of these so-called dreams yet and then I get hit with one. Which involve one of my good friends wanting CT scans.

Well, that definitely took an interesting turn... I'm not sure what to do with that.

Also, my best friend's idiot old man showing up. I have a feeling this is going to turn into a very messed up drama. I'm not even sure I want to know what the hell I just walked into. Other than him spewing a bunch of bullshit.

It's the only dream I've had so far and as far as I'm concerned, it can just go the hell away.

That was an intense dream. Was having a drama free Gala too much to ask? I guess in Roswell it is. Not only did we figure out that there was a fourth alien, but for a minute we thought it might be Maria. Well, I never thought it was Maria, but the others did. It wasn't Maria, but she had been used by the fourth alien. The fourth alien was the one who was really responsible for Rosa's death so obviously we needed to find out exactly who it was. Turns out it was Isobel's husband and after trying to use Isobel to kill Max, he tried to kill me himself; luckily I dosed him with the serum before he tried to kill me so before he could succeed the serum took away his powers, but before that happened, for a few minutes there I really thought he was going to kill me before it took affect.

The most amusing part of my recent dream was drunk!Maria. Maria, you basically rambled on about me and Max and about how I fit right under his chin like a puzzle piece. It was really funny and cute. Also, I have to say that me, Maria, Isobel and Cam looked amazing that night. And somehow even after I saved Max and Michael I only ended up getting grease and dirt on my face and none on my white dress.

I set a memo out this morning, that from the 23rd to the 4th the law firm will be closed for the holidays, minus pending cases and such.

My dreams are a little too similar to my real life. I'm looking at you, Guerin.

It's a bit weird to be back in the OC after so long, but I am. Looks like I'm back for good too.

I can safely say I have watched way too many Christmas movies already. Only the cheesy ones, none of the classics yet. There have been some pretty bad Hallmark ones. I'm still annoyed they finally put a gay male couple in one of their movies and only give them just a bit of the side plot. Come on now.

But sometimes you need a small break from reality and a formulaic plan of a woman quitting her big city job, moving to a really poorly Christmas themed named town, and falling in love with the local handyman, and discovering the true value of Christmas. Also, it's great watching with a tub of popcorn to run commentary through the whole thing as you guess the plots before they happen.

Has anyone else had a dream that flashbacks to their childhood and teenage years? I have already dreamed most of these events too, but this last dream added a little more to the memories. Either way it sucked reliving them twice.

Apparently there is nothing better to do in a small town than go to a drive-in movie. That literally the whole damn town attends.

I love going out to the park and stuff with BB8. The kids are always fascinated and want to know how I'm controlling him. I always just say it's magic. BB also attracts a lot of dogs who seem fascinated by him. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love having a droid.

So I'm thinking about maybe having a Halloween party. Would it be cheating if I dressed as my dream self? Thinking I could wear my flight suit.

So excited, I got a call from a band I auditioned for last weekend and they want me to join them as their singer. The band is so cool - they only perform songs by black artists and I've already started looking for some purple outfits to get my Prince on.

On the dream front basically had a big time skip to 10 years later and our high school reunion is taking place soon. The only good thing about that is that Liz is finally back in town now. I've also seemed to really perfect my palm reading for people at the bar and it's definitely a great side hustle. I feel like it's starting to bleed over into this world a little bit and I think my mom is eyeing me to help do some readings at the shop now.

My dreams just jumped ten years. Went from the end of high school to my ten year reunion. But at least I got a cowboy hat.

I don't sleep in my dreams.

Sure would be nice if that carried through here.

Hope everyone is having a happy and safe Fourth of July. Currently just hanging out in the backyard and having a BBQ, which is definitely nice and relaxing.

Morning started out weird with some more dreams of living in Roswell, New Mexico and gotta say dreaming about how weird high school was isn't exactly my ideal way to start up a Saturday/Holiday. Although doing an interpretive dance to protest Sarah Palin during homecoming senior year definitely feels patriotic. But at least it's now July and I'm excited to get started figuring out what to do my birthday!

One of the things I’ve always loved about the 4th of July is how into it my father has always been. Part of it was for me, but considering my parents aren’t originally from here, my father has always made it a point for us to go wherever there were fireworks and always had a bbq and all of that. It’s one of the many things I’ve always loved about my dad and the 4th.

And now that I’m an adult, it’s no different. I’m pretty sure I ate way too much this afternoon and we’re going out to watch fireworks later.

I'm not sure how I feel about fireworks this year. I think I want to go somewhere quiet, away from the noise.

One of the reasons I liked living on the east coast was, there were no earthquakes. I did not miss the earthquakes one bit and I would appreciate it if they would stop now.

Yes, I know that it's strange that I'm less worried about the giants and more worried about the earthquakes.

Turns out dream!me can be a real idiot sometimes.

So after we blew up Starkiller Base, the First Order found our base on D'Qar and we had to mak a hasty exit. I suggested a plan where I would distract The First Order while the others got off the planet, which was all well and good, right? And while we did manage to blow up the Dreadnought, I got extremely cocky and got most of Cobalt Squadron and our bombers killed we suffered enough casualties that Leia demoted me to Captain since she had technically told me to come back once we pulled off our initial distraction and I hadn't listened. Am I surprised that I didn't listen? Nope. Cause it definitely sounds like something I have done in the past. I just never got an entire squadron killed in real life.

Considering how bad I am at listening to authority figures, it's a wonder I lasted as long as I did in the Navy.

Also, for someone Leia's size, she packs a mean slap.

Well, after seeing a shelving unit fall on a couch Jim and I were on and barely managed to avoid, I can now understand why my ex was always worrying about my bookshelves and how they could be lethal..... Oops?

I think it's hilarious that there is apparently a petition to have Confederate statues in New Orleans replaced with statues of Britney Spears. Could you imagine if that actually happened? That would be the funniest thing ever and considering the way this year has been, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

I've already seen enough here to know that the dreams were real, but I guess that I really have been getting them myself. It's the only way I can explain the bracelet from my dreams showing up on my wrist today. I really wish I dreamed of some space utopia instead of what I wound up with though.

I guess in my dreams, superheroes are real. But they don't come and save you when you need rescuing. They just crown themselves kings and queens of the new world order, and throw themselves a victory parade every year to celebrate the day they murdered the man who had tried to set us all free and to remind everyone that they're in charge now. I can't believe how many people believe the lies the churn out.

The new Lady Gaga album, Chromatica, is GREAT! I had way too much fun listening to it a couple times while in the back room helping my mom sort things for the shop. It really makes me want to get out to the club and start dancing. I'm just excited about her getting back to dancefloor pop music.

When you are married to a really nice guy in your dreams, but divorced from the same guy who is a raging asshole in real life.

I think today is a wine o'clock day.

I've always had dreams about flying, which comes as no surprise considering it's what I do, but dreaming about flying an X-Wing is something completely different. While it's similar to a jet, it's also nothing like it at all. I'm going to have to take Black One out sometime soon. I want to fly in space, but at the same time it's so daunting. I'm gonna do it soon though.

My dream last night was a lot better than the last one I had cause I wasn't tortured and I didn't crash and get a concussion. I got back to the Resistance just in time to leave to take down some First Order troops on a planet called Takodana and then once we got back to base I was finally reunited with BB-8 and Finn, which was awesome.

As good as things appear to be going, I'm not holding my breath that it's gonna stay that way for long.

Anyone else suddenly turn 7 years old for a week? Or was that just me?

I had wondered why a lot of you seemed to be so invested in your dreams, but I think I've figured it out. I'm generally pretty good at remembering my dreams, but this one felt more like a memory than anything else. It wasn't anything special, just a conversation with my mother which I'm sure I must have had here when I was a kid too, except we were living in Roswell, New Mexico (yes, that Roswell).

It was actually really nice. I miss having conversations like that with her.

Who got their story printed front page above the fold? That's right, I did.

There is definitely something to that which you can't get with online only news publications.

I didn't think I'd actually say this, but for the first time I'm glad I'm here and not in Boston. It's hotter there right now than it is here and it looks like that's going to be the case for a few days. While I miss the East Coast, I don't miss the humidity during their heatwaves.

You know, I could really do without the people I trust the most lying to me about major things. It's getting really old.

There's this older man who used to come in my bar pretty regularly, usually twice a week. He always sat at the same table and always ordered the same type of beer. He said his name was "Jim", but never gave me a last name. He was a pleasant guy all around, enjoyed talking about football and fishing. He once told me about this dream he had to go deep sea fishing. Like that was the one thing left in life that he wanted to do.

I haven't seen him in a while. I'm a little worried.

I can tell you for nothing that being punched twice in the jaw in so many weeks is not fun.

Honestly don't know if the second one even counts when it happened in a dream though the reality of it suggests otherwise.

And reliving a break up? Super fun, by the way.

The more I dream, the more I'm beginning to realize that I'm not a good person. At all.

Some days I think I could have been anything. An athlete, a guy who flips burgers, or a veterinary but no I had to go and pick the one vocation that means I spend pretty much my entire life in a hospital. That means my social life is pretty much dead in the water but that's what I get, I knew what I was signing up for, and yet I'm still complaining.

Go figure.

I mean I blame the fact I haven't slept in like... 16 hours for this rambling post of ramble.

Well, that was a bust. How hard is it to find somewhere decent to rent that has a parking space and doesn't have a dozen flights of stairs?

You know what is exceptionally frustrating? Ordering in parts to arrive at a specific time and date only to find that that is not what happens at all. Partly because the shipping company is seemingly unreliable and partly because instead of delivering them to my shop they delivered them to another one on the other side of Orange County.

It's five o'clock somewhere in the world, surely.

I can't believe tomorrow is April 1st. Where did the last three months go? I know everyone says stuff like this throughout the year, but seriously, if feels like the year just started. It's gonna be half over before we know it. I think this summer I need to find a new hobby or something.

It's been years since I've had a migraine, but I've been awake since 01:00 this morning with one. I'm just starting to be able to deal with fucking light again. God dammit.

So, A little bit of random history trivia for those who are interested: Abraham Lincoln is in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and apparently liked to talk smack to his opponents.
