Well I learned one thing from the zombies and all that were making life hell around here this week - they couldn't come inside my house for whatever reason. They could do damage to the outside of the house, and they did but I'm already talking with somebody about fixing part of it, but nothing inside got messed up. Well not by the zombies at least.

So I'm pretty sure I won't be so lucky in the future with getting Old Lace in and out of our apartment when there's something to fight but I'll worry about that when I have to. She had a great time attacking the zombies but a part of me feels a little bad because those things didn't even stand a chance against her.

Last week, I was a surfer and a wedding/events planner. I obviously didn't know what I didn't know, but now? I guess that band-aid has been ripped off. I mean, I'm still a surfer and a wedding/events planner (Storr Weddings -- we do more than just weddings!), so that's still the same.

I'll be blunt: is there anyone that can guide me to some self-defense classes? I don't ever want to feel that helpless again.

I have Ben and Jerry's in my freezer, and absolutely no plans besides eating it and watching about a billion movies. (Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but still it'll be a lot.)

I had a conversation with someone at the theater yesterday about New Year's Eve traditions. She says in Denmark they smash plates, which was quite interesting.

In my family we have a few. We eat 1 apple (to symbolize the year) and 12 grapes (to symbolize each month), while making wishes or saying what we hope for each month in the new year. Mamá will also set aside a bucket of dirty water to throw out the front door.

What are your traditions?

This ball python clears out this room in literally less then 10 seconds. I'm impressed.

Everything went from Halloween to Christmas overnight!

I walked into an elevator and I thought I heard laughter.

And now I'm stuck in the elevator.

And it's making 'yum' sounds.

I could break out easily but I don't want to damage someone's property.

That feeling when you get halfway home before you realize that you never turned on your headlights. I'm just glad I didn't pass any cops. That wouldn't have been good.

I've never been so grateful to have been left out of the crazy times that hit here recently. It would have caused do many problems with all the appointments I had made for the week.

I hope it's all over with now and it didn't mess things up for people who were affected.

Anyone else love Carpool Karaoke? I just saw the new one with Ariana Grande and I think it might be my favorite one so far. She is so amazingly talented. It just blows my mind.

They really don't like ice, but it only seems to hold them back for long. I'm having to get... creative.

GUYS! I graduated, top of my class and got a job in the heart of Zootopia, BUT THERE'S SOMETHING EVEN BETTER! In my dream, there was this song that was SUPER catchy and I've been singing it all day! I was getting a coffee and someone overheard me (only slightly embarrassing) and said they loved that song too!

A little confused, I may have freaked out on them a bit, asking if they dreamed of being an animal and I only got a scared response that it was on YouTube AND IT IS.

WHAT IS HAPPENING? Has anyone else heard of this??

I've married someone in the dreams.

He's a good man, and I know I love him. I think I'm in love with him. But here, I'm in love with someone else. I know it shouldn't matter, and that I'm not the same person here as I was there. The same way I know this is the only life I have any control over.

So why do I feel like I'm betraying them both?

The 2018 Pulitzer Prize winners had some fantastic stories about the last year. The use of social media in reporting the California fires kind of reminded me of this forum. For all the strange things that happen here, this place is rather ideal for organizing resistance and relief efforts. Don't you think?

Just when I thought I was done with the Dreams for good, they decided to rear their ugly head last night. Apparently, I decided to give civilian life a try. With the sims. I'm not sure what possessed me to go with those idiots, but things...seemed okay for a while. I was even learning how to be lazy. Or trying, at least.

But nothing the sims touch ever lasts all that long. After a bit of an incident with candles and lube (don't ask), they managed to burn down our retirement home. To get the funds to build a new home, the sims sold their movie rights And what did they build as their new home away from home?

The galaxy's greatest... water park.

Yay.

I can't believe it's been a month since we got the green light to make the season of my new show! Time has really flied while having fun!!

They've set a premiere date for the show, which is going to run over the summer. It's set to run Sunday evenings from May 27 until August! We're going to have a 13 episode season.

I hope you'll all love it! I want to have a big party when the first episode premieres! :)

There is a literal family of peeps living in my left boot. Every time I try to evict them, they just move right back in.

My dog killed one this morning. Oh god, that scream. Please no.

First week of filming on the new pilot has finished!! Oh my gosh, you guys are gonna LOVE this show! It's crazy and wonderful! I think we're filming a few more things next week, then they're gonna run it through some test audiences and whatnot before we proceed. Fingers crossed!

...So the reason the movie thing fell through was a funding issue. Thanks, Miss Skeeter for breaking that story. But it means that my schedule has cleared up for another project!

I'm being fitted for costumes for a pilot episode of a television series, shooting in mid-March! Fingers crossed! I just read the script, and it's amazing!

I've had three auditions this week. I'm just... loving this life!! :)

My agent says I'm a shoe-in for all three of them. Actually, I think she says I'm a shoe-in for everything! She's really supportive. ♥

I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, mine was very busy but absolutely wonderful. And I am now engaged! I probably won't be able to stop grinning for the rest of the year :)

So, my agent has me auditioning for other films. My agent. Auditioning. Other films. I had no idea I was going to be here--I mean, if you'd told me a year ago that this is what I'd be doing with my life? I would have laughed. But I'm so thrilled! I'm so happy with my life right now! It's unbelievable.

Oh my God you guys! I'm getting top billing in this movie! It's so exciting! I'm going to London for four days for filming! I can't even. I CAN'T EVEN.

10 days of filming left! I can't believe it! It's gone by so quickly! This is such a huge change, and I'm loving it so much!

I seriously just won the lottery. THE LOTTERY. The actress that I was the body double for? She quit. Walked off the set. And there's all this legal battle crap about how she broke her contract... after the lead actor did, too. Well, they're desperate not to lose ALL the money they invested, so they asked me if I wanted to step into the part. So, of course I said YES! But now I'm FREAKING OUT because I don't know what I'm doing!!

Working on a movie set is the COOLEST THING EVER! There's catering and all sorts of awesome people running around! I love it so much! It's like, eight thousand times better than working on the set of a music video. And longer, too! They've just added a lot more filming time, considering the lead actor threw a hissy fit and quit left the project. They've recast, and we're pushing forward! I'm learning SO MUCH!

Thank goodness school is over. I don't think I'd be able to do classes AND movie stuff.

We've been moving along with the new production enough for me to say that Egyptian, but not Greek, mythology is going to be what I eat, breathe, and sleep for the next...seems like forever. The new film involves an archaeologist as our heroine, the 19th century, an expedition in Egypt, and a guy who claims he was once a pharaoh. Is or he isn't he? Stay tuned, kids. The screenplay is killer, we're in talks to get some respectable names on board for the lead roles, and it means going to places like Khan el-Khalili bazaar. We've got some marketplace shots for sure, and I personally want to get all up in Fishawi's coffeehouse which was established in 1773.

So most of this is going to be filmed in Morocco and also specifically in Cairo but there are some city shots too. We've got roles open for background, extras - first is a half-day shoot in Santa Ana around this time next month. We're going for shots by the historic courthouse. Extras don't have to audition but hell, if you feel like auditioning at the open casting call for a few roles bring a headshot and a resume.

Before all of this starts snowballing though, I'll be taking a couple weeks for a honeymoon. It's gonna take some time to obtain permission to shoot in Egypt anyway. Permits and shit, basically a bureaucratic nightmare - it's why most of the filming will happen in Morocco, they've streamlined the process, but there are just a few shots I won't compromise.

OMG you guys. After a conversation I had not too long ago on the network, I decided to start looking into open casting calls. And I had my sister help me find ones that were legit, you know? Not some creepy dude in a basement trying to make amateur porn. Anyway, I found a job! I'm going to be in a music video! XD I don't know all of the details yet, but I'm SO EXCITED!

So you might think that pre-production comes first, before all that actual 'filming the movie' shit, but nah. First you gotta make sure you have enough money to actually make the movie, to pay the bills, and pull your ass out of what is lovingly called 'development hell.'

Well, I'm pretty familiar with hell. And ain't no movie of mine is gonna be sitting in it.

After many, many, many, many meetings - I'm pleased to announce that my new project's been given the green light. Now comes the task of finding a location, producing the shot list, script breakdowns, yada yada...

Oh, yeah, and casting. Can't talk too much about the roles specifically in public but any actors out there? I might be able to provide more info.

Best part about everything it's that while I usually work 18 hour days to avoid the dreams, I haven't had any more of those in awhile. Maybe they've stopped, and I really fucking hope so.

Early yesterday morning Wash was admitted to [Name of Hospital] due to complications from a bad Dream bleed over. He is currently in stable condition, but has yet to regain consciousness. According to the completely absent doctors, his wounds will heal, but they don't know when he will wake up.

With the help of some Jedi mind tricks, I have arranged the lifting of visitor hours for his room if you would like to visit. I will continue to provide updates on his status via the net as they become available.

The dance workshop went quite well, and we've already scheduled another one for next month. Come out and see us on the 24th thru the 26th for another one. My friend will be doing the special choreography for this one. They did film some groups dancing and cut together a little video that you can find here of the choreography that I did.

What should a man do if he knows he doesn't deserve the life he's been given?

Alright, alright, alright... (I did this in my best Matthew Mcconaughey impression right there (and also I totally had to google how to spell that name.) ) I have decided to heed the advice of friends and have joined up with this network with all you weirdos out there.

And by weirdos, I mean lovely people, some of whom I may know, most of whom I do not.

I'm Lincoln by the way, learning the ropes of networking. They say as a college student I should be spending half of my collegiate experience, at least, networking. So, here I am. My first official network post will be this--how the hell does anyone afford to board a horse around here? I've been away from Epona for way too long now and I miss her.

Also, I've only lived here in LA for a bit, and haven't had a ton of money, so I'm still trying to find the best places to grab a steak, because I'm from Montana and most of your guys' steaks I've had here are... well let's just say I prefer making my own. Though my grill is a bit suspect.

Why won't these dreams end? Seriously, what the hell did I do in this life or the last or whatever that warrants this kind of punishment?

It's bad enough that we've crash landed on an apparently uninhabited planet, are the only apparent survivors of said crash, but we have no com-tower to make a distress call. On top of it, the Reds and Blues have reverted to form and have each made their own "bases" at either end of the box canyon we're in. Sarge literally stole a tank from our end and used it to "redecorate" his base. The worst part? I'm apparently in command now. How the fuck did that even happen?!

The new apartment has thicker walls, for which I am grateful. However, it does make me wonder just how loud our next door neighbors much actually be if I can hear them through the walls.

I'll be pleased once football season is over.

I had the weirdest fucking dream about a raccoon last night. I knew PTSD wouldn't be a walk in the park, but a raccoon being tortured? I've seen some shit in my life but nothing like that dream. I'm gonna need a drink.

A vacation would be lovely. I haven't been on one in years.

I'm thinking London/Paris, or the Bahamas. Do I want rain or sun?

As if watching my best friend getting shot in real life wasn't bad enough, now my dreams have to make me do it again.

In less depressing news, dream me also got to hang with AJ McLean, of Backstreet Boys fame. I think they're a little before my time, but dream me thought it was ill. I don't know how dream Virgil keeps meeting all these celebrities though. The closest I've ever come is getting stuff signed at comic conventions.

It would be nice, very very nice, if my friends stopped dying in my dreams.

That is likely too much to hope for, I'm sure.
