Yes you heard me speaking Japanese on the phone in the campus computer lab. And you were absolutely right in saying I don’t look Japanese. Good to know this year’s freshman class is so observant.

Now if only I could get some assurance that they aren’t all judgemental jackasses like this guy. I wasn’t speaking Japanese in an attempt to be “trendy”. I was speaking it with okaasan because since we found out that I understand a lot more of the language than any of us thought - we’ve been speaking it on the phone so that I can learn even more. One of the benefits of my best friend’s parents being my second parents.

Well hopefully DreamAlice will have actually learned her lesson about eating strange food she finds lying around in that hall. The little cake didn’t do anything to her at first, which is where my last Dream left off. But in this one - it made her taller so odds are in my favor that if I tried the cordial I got here and it actually worked, I wouldn’t be stuck six inches tall! I’d end up about 9 feet tall, though so I’m going to have to figure out if there’s a way to moderate the effects.

DreamAlice couldn’t see her feet anymore by the time her growth spurt stopped and made a promise I can actually agree with - since she couldn’t see her feet anymore she’ll buy them a new pair of boots every Christmas to keep them happy. Her reasoning behind it I can’t go along with quite as easily though - if she’s not nice to them they might not walk where she wants too. I just...I can’t even begin to figure out that logic.

I have concluded that late night television is in no shape or form a suitable companion for insomnia.

On one hand it’s really sweet that one of my mom’s friends sent Kurt a late Christmas. If was definitely not what any of us were expecting in that Amazon box since apparently Daddy and I are both waiting on orders to come in, but Kurt would look really cute in that little outfit.

On the other hand I am super annoyed at my mom because she is still sharing information about him with people I don’t know over the internet despite my repeatedly asking her to stop. And now giving them my address! To make it even worse when I tried to talk to her about it she didn’t understand why I was making such a big deal out of her giving my address to one of her Facebook friends who she’s gotten to know really well since the woman first commented on one of her pictures SIX MONTHS AGO!

She’s never met this woman in person but she’s giving her my home address and Kurt’s sizes. And won’t see why this could possibly bother me.

Are stores in more of a hurry to start pushing Christmas at us than normal, or is that just me? I went to see if they had anything good still left on Clearance from Halloween (no, I'm not hoarding costume pieces despite being able to disguise myself as anything I want. What are you talking about?), and the whole section was already Santa and reindeer. I asked someone that worked there if they had just moved what was left, and apparently they donated it all yesterday? It's only been a week...

I really can't think of a better way to celebrate my birthday this year than starting rehearsing the part of Elle Woods! I am still in disbelief I got the lead role, and rehearsals today were absolutely amazing. I'm exhausted in the absolute best of ways!

This year I’m ahead of the game I think! I’ve already figured out my and Kurt’s Halloween costumes for this year instead of scrambling at the last minute to figure it out and just pulling out my old cheerleader uniform like I did last year. No I’m going as a witch and taking advantage of his walking stroller to get out of trying to figure out how to carry him and the bags. He’s still not a 100% steady on his feet yet so this way it’ll be safe and good practice for him and I can use felt and fabric and fabric paint to make it look like he’s in a cauldron being turned into baby stew.

Wow, so I got a recommendation to check this place out for meeting people and connecting to folks around Orange County, but I'm starting to wonder if this is just a little bit too strange, even for me!

There's a dunkin I'm NOT banned from near the place I'm doing my community service and ... I fell down the damned pumpkin cinnamon rabbit hole. FUCK this stuff is good. It isn't at all like drinking a pumpkin pie and now I'm gonna have to buy at least three more before I go home.

I joked when I came out to my parents, give it a few months and I'll be asked why I don't have a boyfriend OR girlfriend. Because Mom's a housewife and I'm her biggest hobby.

Impress them by being the first person to blow up a stove by trying to boil water? I don't have TIME to date. I've got a job, I'm doing a double major, I've got tryouts for the next musical our uni does before long... What free time do I have for anyone? No matter how cute? I mean if someone cute falls into my lap, they fall into my lap. But I've got stuff to accomplish and that's kind of more important right now? Until then, my free time is devoted to practicing, sports, and trying to play through my Steam library.

I guess it was too much to hope that I'd somehow be immune from the Dreams that seem to be hitting the residents of Orange County. I went from dreaming about Fettes College and my normal weird dream fare to something entirely different altogether.

I thought it was just some fancy imagination tricks at first, creating another world, a land called Cintra and a series of islands - like the outer Hebrides - collectively known as the Skellige Isles. I mean, there's monsters there, sirens and werewolves and harpies... But I don't know, I dreamed of growing up spending summers on the Isles and winters back at home in Cintra with my parents and grandmother. That wasn't so bad, I suppose.

But last night- last night my grandmother (in the dreams, of course) got the news that my parents had set sail from Skellige and were lost in a place called the Sedna Abyss, in some freak storm that had blown in and utterly destroyed their ship. In my dreams, I was barely five if even that old.

It made me think of my actual parents. I lost them, too, before I was five. I haven't thought about them for years.

I need a fucking drink. Recommendations of places to go?

So, it's been awhile since I had a Dream. You would think that time would have made me forget what a dumbass my 13 year old dreamself is, right? But no. No it has not.

After the last fiascos, my talking cat has banned me from listening to idol music. Despite this, I went and snuck out to go to a concert. How did I sneak out at 13? I don't know. Why am I taking orders from a cat? That's just the nature of cats, I'm not gonna question it. And he does have a point. The boy band I went to go see, The Dark Guys, does belong to the same record company as the singers that turned out to be monsters in my other dreams. But does 13 year old me admit he has a point? Nope, because 13 year old me does not learn her lessons.

I had such a surreal dream last night. I got to dream about being up in some tower and seeing these beautiful lanterns lighting up the night sky. The sky was absolutely FILLED with them. It is probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen, but that was it. It was like my subconscious slipped into that and then out of it immediately.

So weird, but I definitely am inspired to do some painting of it today! At least there's a bonus there.

Has anyone else had a dream that felt really real? I mean, I guess we all have had those dreams where you wake up and you're not sure if the dream was real life or not, but I mean a dream that's really real?

On a related note, I'm really, really not sure if my dreams know how science works. I'm actually a little disappointed in my subconscious right now.

So, this being pride month? I finally came out to my parents. Subtle has never been my middle name, so standing there in the kitchen like a neon light while I went to drop off some things we borrowed was the very most me way to do it. It took Mom a few minutes to get what my shirt said, and dad even longer. She pretty much had to spell it out for him while I stood there nervous.

We had a long talk about what it meant, was I sure, was that Skeeter article from way back when right (ew Mom, no. Alice has always been family and Logan practically is now as well), and just generalized worry for me. But in the end, they understood and accepted me. And I am so so relieved. I've been keeping this a secret from them for so long. And they love me just as I am.

Not sure how the short skirted super hero talk will go, but that's for another time. Like. Maybe when I'm 30?

And I know I'm lucky and that's not how every one's parents have reacted. Still react even now in 2019. But I am so happy I told them, and I only wish I didn't hide it for so long.

So.. Has anyone ever experience dream walking or something? Or rather I guess, sleep walking?

No. Absolutely not. I refuse to spend anymore time than absolutely necessary with the Rock of Ages choreographer. I signed on to play Sherrie in the show not to have someone trying to grope me while "correcting my position for the move." I get that it's easier to do it by moving me physically but if my hips aren't right - there is absolutely no reason for your hands to be on my boobs. And there is never a reason for you to be practically cupping them.

And now I'm supposed to agree to "private sessions" to get the number that Sherrie does at the club perfect? No that's not happening. In fact if I can find a way to - I'll find someone else to help me get more relaxed and less wooden when dancing on a pole. And if I can't find anyone else? I'll bribe someone to come to the sessions with me if I have to. Even if they're just going to be sitting off to the side watching.

You know, I'd wondered why the insurance on my place was so high, I mean, it's a fancy place, sure, but when my dad told me how much things cost (a well played guilt trip to ensure I don't mess things up, for sure) my jaw hit the ground.

But now I'm kinda getting it. I didn't realise earthquakes tremors could do this.

I am worried, this latest dream... I am hearing things that are not there.

Well I think I just disproved my own theory that if I stayed busy enough I wouldn’t have any dreams this semester at school. I finally found out what the key in my dreams opens up! There was a little curtain off to one side of the hall, and inside is this little tiny door- maybe a foot tall- and the key fits it! I open it up and there’s this really beautiful garden on the other side and I lay there looking at it for a while, wishing that I could get in there but my head won’t even fit through the door.

I finally quit laying on the floor, wishing, and go back to the table I found the key on and now there’s a bottle that has a label that says Drink Me on it! I know it wasn’t there when I first got the key, but it is now and it’s not labeled poison, so I drink it and it tastes pretty good. And after a minute makes me shrink down to the right size to fit through the door but just my dreamluck - I locked the door when I went back to the table and left the key on top of it, and can’t reach it anymore. And no matter how many times I try to climb that table I keep slipping back down to the floor and I finally just give up and start to cry.

And that’s when I woke up here. And found that same bottle on my pillow next to me. A part of me really wants to take a sip and see if it will make me shrink here like it did in the drams but the rest of me is saying “Don’t be stupid Alice. You have no way of reversing the shrinking and can’t take care of Kurt if you’re only ten inches tall! And you definitely can’t go to classes or auditions if you can’t be seen!”

A while back I got shot, and that really sucked. It put me in a wheelchair, and that really sucked, too. I've made pretty long strides since then, even gotten some feeling back, but this whole time my therapist kept telling me I should get some kind of animal companion.

Guess they make your mental health a less sketchy place. So Rose and I finally went out and got me a kitten. They're pretty low maintenance, you know, while still being generally warm and fuzzy. Better than fish, I guess. Hopefully I keep this thing alive.

Funny thing though, Logan. I'm gonna have to name this cat after you. Because look at this:
