How the hell is it almost September? That doesn't even seem possible. The summer always goes by so fast, but I guess it could be worse and we could live some place where we'd be complaining about the oncoming months of cold and darkness. And I will admit, I'm looking forward to Starbucks holiday lattes in December, so I guess summer has to end in order for that to happen.

Okay, why do people have to try and make everything with either sweet potatoes or cauliflower these days? I mean, I like cauliflower, but I saw a recipe for making baked mac & cheese with cauliflower. How does that even work? And just now I saw a recipe for sweet potato brownies. No offense to anyone who likes sweet potatoes, but that sounds kind of gross. I'd much rather have triple chocolate brownies.

Normally, I wouldn't be supporting someone challenging the Prime Minister for their seat in Parliament. But right now, I'm in favor of Boris Johnson not being anywhere near Parliament. That type of change probably wouldn't avoid a No Deal Brexit, but at least we wouldn't have the catastrophe of Boris Johnson in power.

But I'm also not going to hold my breath that it would actually happen. It's not my district, so I have no say in that.

As the summer is drawing to a hectic end with people going back to school and all, I felt like sharing a song that can help relax people listening to it. It's called Solemn by a Japanese group called Rin'. They blend traditional Japanese instruments with Western pop music. I've always found them rather soothing to listen to.

The dogs just discovered we have a pool. I know this because they decided to share their discovery by running up to me and shaking all the water off. I mean, it's just water, still wasn't what I was expecting while I was coming back in with the mail.

Thank God I have a tolerant Husky. Mare keeps crawling all over him and wanting to sleep in his dog bed with them. She's curious about my cat, but she's more obsessed with my dog.
