Okay, why do people have to try and make everything with either sweet potatoes or cauliflower these days? I mean, I like cauliflower, but I saw a recipe for making baked mac & cheese with cauliflower. How does that even work? And just now I saw a recipe for sweet potato brownies. No offense to anyone who likes sweet potatoes, but that sounds kind of gross. I'd much rather have triple chocolate brownies.

If someone says that cauliflower is the new bacon, I'm going to have to disagree. You can cook with it in puree form and blend it with early anything. Have you seen the cooking shows? Cauliflower puree is pretty common.

Who says that? I've never heard anyone say that. No, I don't really watch cooking shows. My girlfriend ex-girlfriend friend probably watches them though so she might be more familiar with cooking with cauliflower.

I've never heard it, but you never know. Pumpkin spice wasn't a thing a few years ago. There are so many of those shows out there now. They are really creative even if I'm not a gourmet guy.

Creative, but also sometimes pretty gross. There are just certain combinations you shouldn't do with food.

I think it's either a health thing or maybe a gluten-free thing? Like with so many people trying to eat less gluten, they're looking for flour substitutes and I guess cauliflower is one. Not sure on the sweet potatoes though.

I guess I can understand that part. It just seems strange sometimes.

Yeah. I mean, who looks at a cauliflower and thinks "hm, I can make noodles out of that"?

People seem to look at cauliflower and think it'll make a lot of things that it shouldn't.

Well, you know, to be fair once upon a time long long ago, someone dug a potato out of the ground and decided it looked good enough to eat.

Baked mac and cheese with cauliflower actually sounds pretty good. Sweet potato brownies on the other hand...

I mean, it doesn't sound horrible, but I still don't know about it.

There isn't much that goes better with cauliflower than cheese, imho.

If you're pouring hot cheese over cauliflower then yeah. That makes sense.
