My mother called, did a spot-on impression of her dream self, and now my whole family's visiting for the Fourth of July. So, four days from now. Three extra people. In my two bedroom apartment. I'd like to say that I don't know how it happened, but I absolutely do: She manipulated me by dangling her approval in front of me like a gift. Either I need to grow some thicker skin, or that woman should join the CIA.

Probably both.

Why do people raise their voices when they find out you're deaf?

Like... it really doesn't matter if you shout , I still can't hear it. All that does is make it harder to read lips, because they think talking slower and louder will help.

Good Afternoon. Now, this may sound a bit odd, but I find myself facing a bit of an avian problem. A mockingbird that has managed to find its way into in my flat early this morning and has resisted all of my attempts to chase it back out the window. I’m afraid I’m at a bit of a loss on how to get it out and am open to ideas, suggestions, and assistance anyone may have to offer.

For the first time in what feels like forever, I Dreamt about an adventure where I had to diffuse a bomb and didn't wake up to find a ticking explosive sitting on our kitchen table. I've checked the entire house and barn top to bottom to make sure the Dreams didn't leave a "gift" there instead, but I haven't been able to find anything. I know I should be thankful, but I can't help but worry that I missed something, somewhere.

I really don't want to have to buy a new fridge again.

I am not surprised when people with more money than brains do stupid things. I do continue to be surprised by the people that encourage them by giving them money to be stupid. I’m not even going to get into “Who pays $125 for a tshirt”. My dad pays five times more at Sephora for eyeshadow he can get at the drugstore that looks exactly the same, but without the fancy name. I’m not here to judge how much you want to spend on overpriced... anything. But it still baffles me how people are famous simply for being rich, and then they use that fame to exploit people to become richer. And somehow everyone is just fine with that.

Tonight my dreams had us leaving for the New World. our vampire hunter father found us once again and we had to leave. Kol and Finn were daggered so it was really only Nik, Elijah, and myself. We're hoping that he won't find the three of us there.

I also seemed to take it upon myself to save what were called "Casket Girls" from being sent off to terrible men.

I can’t believe I go to college this fall, and my mother is still trying to suggest careers to me. I have a feeling that I could be backstage getting ready for a main part of a sold out show, and she’ll still call me telling me what else I could be doing with my life, and that it isn’t too late to be an engineer or something.

Oh wow! Check out this awesome ballet project from the UK! So beautiful. We should totally do something like this here! Any budding photographers out there?

This is so cool, and all in the space of 2 seconds! Hopefully in the future we can make it a sustainable , efficient energy source.

In a few weeks there's gonna be an art show in the park. I've been invited to participate so I have to figure out what pieces I'm going to include and do some new ones. Sometimes this is the frustrating part, but other times the creativity just flows. Only time will tell which one it is this time.

Summer is here and I am missing my brother a lot. I suddenly don't have school to keep my thoughts occupied throughout the day. I would appreciate any ideas to keep me occupied over the coming months if you have any?

So I'm thinking of hosting an open air cinema at my hotel over the summer! Any thoughts about movies you'd like to see?
