I do hope everyone enjoyed thanksgiving. It's always nice to have a nice leg of turkey, sit back and fondly think about the fact that your country was built on the decaying flesh of thousands of dead men, women and children.

Yeah, I'm not sure why Americans are so crazy for Black Friday. One of the girls made me go with her promising I would love it... Didn't happen. It's stupid. I got pushed around and ran into for what? A few things.

I'm not sure why people find this fun or is it just me?

Last night was one of those nights where you party so hard that when you wake up the next morning you don't know who your breath smells like, and your brain wants to die.

I'm pretty sure this is an #8.

An American Thanksgiving is a lovely sentiment, but I feel lacks a measure of practicality-- far too many starches on one table, gravy and cranberries should not come from cans, and Turducken is simply an atrocity against Nature and man's digestive tract-- all this, compounded by the pressure of the full contact sport you call Black Friday. Is it little wonder those winter blues and stress rates skyrocket this time of year? You should all learn to relax and enjoy the season.

On that note, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mischa Lecter. I have recently moved to Orange County from Paris to take a teaching position at Le Cordon Bleu in Los Angeles and make myself available to cater events within the area. As a chef, I have earned my masters in gourmet cuisine and advanced pastry and have won accolades to the effect.

Truth be told, I love creating pastries and designing cakes for special occasions the best.

I am not one for technology, but am told it was customary to say your greetings through this board, and so I will try my best to utilize it properly. I am happy to be here, and look forward to meeting and hopefully creating a wonderful meal for you.

So, the OC seems just as crazy now as it was when I left a few months back. And just as interesting. Definitely sounds like my kind of town.

Scariest part of being an actual responsible adult is other people thinking of me that way. I got offered, and took, of course, a job at UC: Irvine as a teacher. Which just makes me boggle some. Someone trusts me to teach? Wow.

So, ah, back in town again, settling into an apartment is weird. Especially with one arm in an immobilizing cast and sling. Makes everything a little harder. Heck, some things are down right impossible.

But I'm home, and Robin is once more with me and helping me to do things. Its funny how he always takes care of me. Sometimes one would think he was the one who trained me and not vice versa.

Working as a night time DJ on the radio is fun. One gets to enjoy being up all night, and ignore the evil thing in the sky that is bright and hot. One also gets to sleep during the bright and hot parts of the day. Its fun and good that way.

My name is Lorcan Scamander and my brother finally talked me into coming on this network. His name is Lysander, just in case any of you know of the Scamander Scamanders.

Hellllo, Valarnet! I'mmmmm back! Alrigthy then! I've been away, traveling while the construction companies ironed out some issues, then the project got ditched, and I found a new place to have a shop built, and it got built. So now is the fun part.

Ladies and Gentlemen, children of all ages, December 2nd, I will be reopening Scamander Wood and Stone, in a new space at [address], in Irvine! There will be specials, and balloons, and even food. Come one and come all!

That was exhausting. I'm glad it's done, and I don't need to worry about another family holiday gathering for another year. This year's reached the point where everything just feels exhausting. I'm greatly looking forward to January.
