Hello, listeners. Or I guess I should say, readers.

It was suggested to me by Intern Chad that I try out this forum as a new format for my reporting. "Why don't you start a blog?" he said. "You could reach a lot more people that way."

So here I am, readers. Your own Cecil Baldwin, from the nightly news. Isn't technology wonderful? I can talk to all of you like this, and you can ask me questions that I can answer in a timely manner, instead of waiting til the next news broadcast.

I could even find some breaking stories this way, you never know.

But for now, I'll simply say: hello.

I haven't had any dreams lately. This sucks. I actually want to have a few more. I've been working out a lot - martial arts in the morning, yoga, and the gym. It takes most of my time but it's worth it. I didn't know I had weight to lose, but I've dropped almost 15 pounds.

I have a shoot coming up, but I forgot to put it on my calendar. I'll call in tomorrow for the details. At least I didn't miss it.

Beer.

It would seem I've let myself get thoroughly charmed. I probably should have seen this coming.

The best mornings are where you wake up and it takes you a moment to remember where you are. Also, Lara, I'm really, really sorry.

It's that time of year again. Where I take unsuspecting people to rough it. I need four people to join me in the wilderness for four days, with nothing but the packs on our backs.

Spock, you've already been volunteered, so I just need three now.

It's come to my attention that prices of rent in California vary greatly from those in Wisconsin. I've been looking around and reading for openings in the paper, but I thought I'd ask here also:

Is anyone looking for a roommate? I'm very quiet. And I work more often than not. If that helps?

I just tried flying. I just bloody flew. It was terrifying!

With some extra help at the ranch, I can start to relax again. Of course knowing me, I'll just volunteer elsewhere and resume driving myself bloody crazy.

I desperately need to go shopping for a new autumn wardrobe and shoes.

I totally found the Drive Shaft album I lost when we moved. It's not autographed like the one I had, which sucks, but it was awesome listening to it again. Shame they broke up and all.

Well, here I am in a new town. So different from home; steel buildings instead of trees, so many cars instead of deer and pavement where there should be grass and soil.

My latest dream involved me going to the video store (in 2011. Good grief.) and a giant animal attacking us.

Then it was stalking us in the high school. And no one would tell me what's going on.

Word of advice? Keeping your friends in the dark does more damage than good. Even if you're trying to keep them safe.
