I desperately need to go shopping for a new autumn wardrobe and shoes.

I'm open to recommendations.

Would anyone care to accompany me for an evening out?

Did someone say shopping?

I did indeed.

I can't buy any new clothes right now, but I'm totally up for accompanying others on shopping trips.

With autumn coming, I believe now is as good a time as any for a couple new outfits and I could always a second opinion.

Plus, a perfect way to explore the county and the local shops.

That's always a good excuse to buy new clothes.

Where are you located? I know quite a few local shops in the OC.

Completely justifies all purchases.

I'm over in Lake Forest.

I unfortunately could not accompany you, ma'am, but that's because I'm working at my own shop. I might suggest coming to The Mirror, down in Mission Viejo at [address]. We do men's and ladies' clothes, custom pieces and off the rack. My name is Jefferson; I'm the owner.

The Mirror sounds interesting.

Do you have any sample pieces of the fashions you predominantly feature for the upcoming season?

Yes, ma'am; we have some on our website - [address] - and anything we have on the rack can be reproduced to custom specifications as well.

Thank you, Jefferson.

I'll believe I might swing by the shop later on.

If you want a professional opinion, then I'm willing to offer my time and services as a personal stylist.

Not the first time someone has offered such a service. I was a model to fund my way through medical school. I do have both hourglass proportions and height which makes shopping rather challenging.

I'm intrigued. Tell me what your qualifications are.

I'm a former child and teenage model, turned freelance personal stylist. Head to toe. Shopping and looking good (as well as helping others look their best) is my passion. I imagine that is a stunning combination and I know a few boutiques that can accommodate, if I'm given a budget and your measurements.

Your resume sounds and looks impressive. My name is Halja Död. Should I decide to retain your services I will need to know your name and going rate.

Here's the budget [large amount] and my [tall hourglass measurements] you are to work with. My trademark features beyond my figure are long black hair, pale skin, and red lips. (I enjoy vintage styles and darker colors palette such as reds, greens, and black, but I'm open to autumn color palette as well for the season.) Of course, I leave it in your capable hands.

I also have my brother's wedding to attend so I've added extra into the budget for a formal gown, shoes, and accessories.

I'm Yumichika Ayasegawa. It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Död. I'll see what I can arrange for you and hopefully you'll find it satisfactory. If so, [included link to a payscale, here]

Does the wedding have a color theme and do you regularly attend any large rsvp or red carpet events? Are you looking for a certain era of vintage clothing or do you prefer casual or cocktail style of attire?

As it is you, Mr. Yumichika Ayasegawa.

As a general practice, I shun spotlight whenever practical, but when I do have an occasion to step out I do enjoy looking breathtaking.

As far the wedding's theme, I have to check with my brother and the sister-in-law for the color theme. I'll send you the color as I know.

Cocktail style or floor-length gown, if you would. I adore the everything from Old Hollywood to 1940's and 1950's vintage or vintage inspired, but I'm not opposed to something otherwise beautiful. After all, I do have the height and curves to wear and accentuate almost anything. I'm certain you'll both surprise and delight me, Yumichika.

One last thing, no polka dots, checks, or stripes.

I was unfortunately delayed, but I think I've compiled some beautiful choices for you. Perhaps one of the dresses will work for the wedding, provided the colors aren't off. I did include some choices in a soft pink, which might be vintage enough to suit you and be wedding worthy.

[one] [two] [three] [four] [five] [six] [seven]

Some of those choices are definitely not cheap. If there's one area people shouldn't pinch pennies with, it's looking their best. And a few expensive pieces can go a long way, when mixing and matching them in a wardrobe.

Please let me know if the colors are 'off' also? I wasn't certain about that shade of autumn green, perhaps you might like something more in the dark emerald side of the spectrum.

I'm not sure how good I'd be for a night out, but I happen to own a very nice women's clothing boutique. If you're looking for a fall wardrobe, stop by and see me.

I can't say I blame you. I've found most men would sooner gnaw off an arm to escape a shopping with a woman unless it's for themselves or, of course, a fashion designer.

However, I'll be sure to swing by your boutique. I'm always looking to add a couple new treasure to my wardrobe.

Well I would, I just don't know how much my wife would approve of my taking a woman shopping who wasn't her or one of my models.

Ah, but not one under my employ. It's different if I'm doing something job related.

I think going out with a former model would cause more waves than I'd like.

I wouldn't even suggest it.

Besides I said former model. I've moved on to bigger and better things than being just some pretty young thing.

Then you're most welcome to join this evening's outing, miss.

I tend to be fashionable, but terribly lackadaisical and somewhat indecisive when deciding on new fashions or venturing into unfamiliar shops.

I like that houndstooth is set to be popular again, and black and white in general. Classic, fitted silhouettes. It's all very feminine. I really liked a lot of what I saw from a distance, as I couldn't actually be at the runways this year.
