My daughter was rescued by a knight in shining armor at the McDonald's Play Place. At least, that's her story. She won't stop telling it over and over again. I wanted to extend another thank-you to the man who came to my aid. It's nice to be reminded that not everyone in the world is a pervert or a child abductor, especially when one is as paranoid as I am.

Hello! I thought I'd introduce myself on the network since I'm new to Orange County. I am a transplanted Chicagoan--I came to California for college and ended up staying.

I just got Nessie up from her nap and she clung to me sing songing the words "love papa love love" over and over again. Today is definitely a good day. And now, we are going to go snuggle up with mommy and re-watch Frozen for the 15th time.

Nessie, Bella and I are enjoying a quite night in watching Frozen. I do believe Nessie is quite taken with Olaf.

I'm still on the fence as to how I feel about children as a species, but I did have an amusing conversation while at the docks today.

I was tying up my boat after going out for an afternoon sail, and was approached by a little girl. She introduced herself (Molly, I think), and I introduced myself as James Hook. She asked me what I was, and I told her I was a lawyer.

After inspecting me and my boat with a shrewd eye, she replied that no, I was clearly a pirate.

I tried explaining that lawyers aren't really all that bad, but she was insistent. "Your name is Hook," she explained, in that very logical way that children have, "You're missing a hand, and your boat is called The Jolly Roger. You have to be a pirate."

So I winked and told her not to tell anyone, and she ran off quite happy that she'd met a real live pirate.

So there we are, then. James Matthew Hook, esquire. A pirate.

There are days when the dreams give me a damn headache.

Back in the 1940's Stefan was going to Egypt, and I was supposed to go. That whole incident explains a lot.

The baby and I are doing fine. I'm so glad that's over and done with though.

The only problem with contracting an illness from a dream that doesn't exist in the waking world is that the antidote or at least the drugs that are now keeping me alive don't actually exist in the waking world. When I got sick, I received a box that I keep the drug in in the dreams and inside was enough of the drug for about two months. I got sick at the beginning of April, which means I only have about a month to three weeks left of the drug. If my illness is exactly like it is in the dreams then without the drug, I'll die and I have no idea if it will replenish on it's own because of the dreams or not. I don't exactly want to wait and find out when it's too late that it won't, but I'm not entirely sure what to do.

I know there are a lot of different people out there and I was hoping that there might be someone out there who could help me. How, I'm not entirely sure, but I know that I don't want to die.

Eleven days until our due date. Daisy is ridiculously excited.

I can do this. Just four more weeks. I'm supposed to be in bed and taking it easy, but that is so boring. If I have to lie here any longer, I might explode.

My dream adventures seem to be a bit more fun though. Being President of a planet is hard.

As my wife is very, very pregnant, I'll likely be taking our daughter Daisy to the Egg Hunt this Easter on my own. Unless Romana insists upon coming with us, I will ensure that she gets as much rest as possible these next four weeks before David arrives.

We ordered an Easter dress, complete with Bonnet, for Daisy.

I pity any child who pushes Daisy in order to get eggs out from under her. I am one of those parents. I will not put up with it.

I am thankful that I will be able to greet my son in my own body. It's quite a relief to be young again.

It's been a rather pleasant few days off of work, but I'm ready to get back to my real life now.

Now that Daisy has an attention span of longer than a few minutes, we've been doing a lot more reading. Not only do we read the picture books where I can show her the words and ask her questions about illustrations, but I've been reading short chapter books to her as well. I've just finished reading Sideways Stories from Wayside School which I don't think she understands because she's not currently in school. I thought we'd try Charlotte's Web next.

Does anyone have normal dreams anymore? I kind of miss that. I was chased by my old middle school math teacher once.

So. I had an American ask me today, upon hearing I was from Norway, if that was where the penis museum was.

After spluttering and making sure I understood his English, I told him no. And then did some googling, and found out that the Iceland Phallological Museum is in fact in Reykjavik, in Iceland. I do love that there will always be something I can learn about the world. And I admit to having a good laugh, as well.

I need to find someone who can do this to my nails. Because it's amazing. I am hella into nail art, yo!

I don't know if I've been hitting the gym too hard lately or what exactly is going on, but I've been absolutely exhausted these past few days. I keep waking up on the sofa after apparently having completely passed out. Or at the kitchen counter while I was reading the paper.

I don't think I'm getting sick, or at least I hope not, but this falling asleep in random places has me a little worried

Apparently on Gallifrey there was an ancient technique where if you did something truly awful, you were banished to the Oubliette of Eternity, where you were erased from history. You never existed at all. And yet they all went to this place of anti-time. It's quite confusing, but wholly frustrating. And to think I almost went along with it, because I didn't realize how crazy he was.

I got a new Doctor though. Very Victorian with long hair and a velvet coat. And the loveliest voice. And I have a bodyguard. Her name is Leela. She's a savage, but noble and amazing. I think dream me might be slightly in love with her.

Well then.. I'm President of Gallifrey. That is something. President. Who would have thought that?

I've also met another version of the Doctor. I don't know about his outfit though.

This is good to know for any new dads or soon to be dads. I knew some of those, but there are some I wish I'd known when I was eighteen. I'm sure that some of them are different for everyone cause Lian slept in my bed a lot as a baby, but she always slept fine in her crib when I did put her in there instead.

Working around all this ice makes me think of going somewhere warm. Where would be the best place? Maui? Jamaica? The Sahara Desert? Not that I've ever been anywhere warm, save for the beach here during the summer. And with that recent volcano it made the weather a little warmer than usual, although not as pleasant as a sandy beach. Still, everything seemed to work out alright yeah?

I left the Doctor and decided to stay in e-space because they needed me there. I suppose it was time for me to move on. No one can stay forever.

I did get to keep the tin dog though. Maybe k-9 will show up here, that would be nice. He could make me tea during the day.

So I got through my first full moon after the dreams okay. The next one is on Valentine's day, fingers crossed it'll be fine.

Uncle Peter keeps wanting to talk about our dreams, but I don't know what there is to talk about. I dreamed he tore my sister in half, not something I really want to discuss.

I swear to god, if he suggests family therapy I'm moving to Alaska.

I'm going to be selling some furniture. We're turning our spare bedroom into a nursery, and have no use for the bed, desk, chair, and bookshelf that were in there. It's good quality furniture, and in great condition.

It would appear that my birthday is exactly a month from now. It's been awhile since I actually did anything on my birthday, but I think this year I have to. It will be my first birthday back with my family so I think a family dinner is in order. However, I'm debating if I want to include my parents with my siblings, because my parents, my father especially, have a tendency to be somewhat judgmental when something happens that they don't agree with. So, understandably, I want to avoid that on my birthday. Either way, does anyone know of any nice restaurants that are also child friendly? I want to give Rebekah and Stefan the option of bringing Natalia and so much has changed over the last six years that I'm not familiar with everything just yet.

What do you call it when you're an intern but you get an intern for yourself? Like a hot guy one with an accent?

The plants that I ordered arrived. Of course, this is the worst time of year to be doing things in the garden, but after cleaning out half a yard of dead plant material (thank you, again, Snow, for killing my garden) I've decided that a little magic will help. And it's not cheating.

So I'll be growing my own tea. Proper tea, not the herbal tea I was blending before.

I'm restless and can't sleep. This is ridiculous.

The holidays are over, right? I can safely come out now?

I officially loathe them. I've just decided. Even if my kid is really cute, it's a complete nightmare. Not looking forward to doing this again next year. And by then I'll have a seven month old. Good grief.

I dreamed that the CPS guy assigned to me and Nani was ex-CIA at Roswell. But he helped me keep my dog when the Galactic Federation wanted to keep him. So, that works.

Night practices at school are starting to get to me. It's 45 degrees out and I'm in a cheer uniform. THEY'RE NOT WARM. AT ALL. I'm going to freeze my butt off, and then how will I jump? Jumping is sort of integral to cheering!

And I want awesome dreams toooo, I keep dreaming and it's just basically me but in SoCal and going to a different school. San Romero, we're the best! I keep humming cheers for another school under my breath, then I have to remind myself I go to Creekside. Derp.

I'm so glad the holidays are over. Pulling festive things from people's orifices was just getting old. Let's get back to mundane things like Hot Wheels or remote controls, guys!

I had a welcome surprise today. Just in time really. For the past few months my gifts from the dreams have been..on the fritz, you could say. I lost them completely. I gained some other gifts but they weren't as...nice.

One of the kids had a compound fracture after losing control of her horse. I was able to repair in minutes and I haven't been able to do that in so long that it's a real feeling of relief!

So far, this has been a fucking fantastic year.

My daughter found her Christmas presents. They're wrapped already so she didn't see what was in them.

I have dreamed an entire lifetime. Will they ever cease these relentless repeats? Or am I destined to continue dreaming the same strange, other life for the rest of my days?

It's hard to believe that I've been back here for almost a year now. If someone had told me a year ago that not only would I be back with Sirius, but that I'd also be a Wizard and Werewolf, I would have told them they were mad. It's been a very interesting year, but I don't think I would change anything.

I suppose since I'm no longer living on my own, my Charlie Brown tree from last year won't due. I think Sirius and I will have to go get a Christmas tree soon.

And I'm still finding pumpkin seeds and guts in my kitchen. We carved pumpkins on like Monday night and there is still crap on the table and counter. Darcy, you saw me clean the kitchen, right? How did I miss this two days later? Also, I hope it's okay to give rabbits pumpkin seeds cause Mr. fuzzybutt, yes that is what Lian named it, head eating them the other night.
