Google is apparently celebrating the garden gnome today (just go with it) and in doing so is running a rather addictive game through their search pages in which you fling various garden gnomes Pumkin' Chunkin' style along a garden path to plant as many flowers as you can.

I know it was yesterday (and that those things started showing up the 3rd) but I was a bit busy fighting Shrek's ugly cousins to post on time.

You know, once, just once, I'd like to have a birthday that doesn't involve a massive invasion...

I had Lucky Charms for breakfast, AND for lunch today. Because I'm an adult and I make my own decisions.

I love being able to make bad choices and not have to see my mother and sister's judgment around every corner.

Okay, so raise your hand if anyone else had a weird dream about Sabretooths. Like, that stuff's not from my dreamworld for sure but the other day I 'woke up' or dreamt I was in prehistoric times and it felt very freakin' real.

Okay, so finally got some new dreams. My friends in my dreams are idiots - totally dicks - and decided to write a nice slur against Nancy on the movie theater marquee - classy. Nancy got upset and I let Jonathan keep punching me in the face because I really did deserve it. I finally laid into them and decided to go get Nancy back.

BAD IDEA. I walked to Jonathan's house and basically walked into the weirdest shit ever. Christmas lights everywhere, everyone going crazy over something, and Jonathan threatened to shoot me. THEN A MONSTER FELL FROM THE CEILING. SERIOUSLY- A REAL MONSTER. What the hell are these dreams?!

And my face is nicely bruised - thank god for the weekend.

So last set of dreams had the First Order kicking our asses in the worst way. I mean, we lost A LOT of people because of Poe. Then General Organa ends up in critical condition and I decide 'nope, I'm done' and go to jump ship to go find Rey. I get stopped by this mechanic named Rose who has zero problem tasering people.

This time around I'm hatching some crazy plan with Rose and Poe to find a way to disable the First Order's hyperspace tracking ability. We call up Maz who directs us to find this guy the Codebreaker; he'll help us hack into the First Order's system and disable it. With General Organa out of commission and Admiral Holdo taking over (she has no love for Poe apparently) we gotta do this on the DL. So Rose and I (why Rose??) sneak out on a ship and make our way there while Poe covers for us.

We land on a planet called Canto Bight and basically it's like a casino world. Sorta place you'd expect James Bond to roll up in. Rose hates it, I love it. It's gorgeous and glittery and all that fancy stuff. She points out all the high rollers made their money banking both sides of the conflict. BB-8 finds the Codebreaker but of course we illegally parked on the beach and get arrested before we can get to him. Now we're in jail with some funky dude named DJ.

Can't we catch a break, dreams? Seriously here.

So I'm never buying Peeps again.

Had a packet of them on the coffee table and Chewie's big enough now to start trouble and pull stuff within reach. He got into the packet of Peeps...

The screaming. It was horrible. Chewie thought they were toys...

Two of them survived and are being kept safe in my room. Not sure what to do with them yet.

Couldn't I get dreams about me waking up with the person I care most about standing there waiting for me and the Resistance is all safe and sound and the First Order defeated?

Too much to ask, universe?

Also, why is it every woman I run into in the dreams ends up kicking my ass? What'd I do to deserve that? Why can't it just be like "Hi Finn, nice to meet you." Not "WHERE ARE YOU GOING" and then I get my ass whooped.

Everytime I find something with Storm Troopers dancing, especially the old school ones and not First Order, I can't help but laugh. I mean, it's hilarious. I can just imagine them doing that once Vader leaves the room or something.

i have no idea how i missed it for this long, but i just discovered this movie called machete and it is the funniest thing i have ever watched. the priest is basically the best part of the whole thing.

there's a sequel, too! machete kills. i am totally watching it once i'm done with machete. this is basically the best thing i've ever found. who doesn't like a good movie where a guy kills the bad guys with a machete pretty much the majority of the time?

I can't believe it's been a week we've been here. Traveled up to Klamath National Forest to do some old fashioned camping with Rey and BB-8 and it's just been amazing. Gorgeous views, it's quiet and it's just nice to be in nature, y'know?

Gonna be kinda sad leaving this place tomorrow. Not 100% sad, I mean, I do miss some modern comforts. Plus Game of Thrones comes back tomorrow.

So...Star Wars Celebration was interesting.

I just spent most of today rebuilding someone's transmission. It was a mess. I don't think this man ever once changed the fluid or anything and I'm pretty sure what he was doing when he came to pick up his car was a crime against machinery.

I keep forgetting Poe's gone. He got transferred to a different base a few weeks ago, but I keep calling him thinking he's right around the corner. It's so weird not having him here.

Wrecked my bike today. Some arse tried to cut me off and I've got a nice rash on my hip now.

It's a custom built Frankenstein's Monster, she was one of a kind.

But I'll fix her right up. The dents and scratches add character!

Gotta admit it's pretty nice right now in Florida.

Just trying to get used to a couple hours of roaring race cars going in circles. This is my first NASCAR race, the Daytona 500 and lemme just say fans here are intense. This thing is sold out and wow.

So...is it cheating to go to this Star Wars Celebration thing and roll up as myself in cosplay?

Cuz I kinda want to. But not alone.

Trip Update.

I really should stop making a habit of crashing into things with my TARDIS. At least this time there was minimal damage and it didn't involve androids and a ship called Titanic.

Lily isn't really into the traditional "girl" stuff, and she really never has been. Sure, she likes dolls and princesses well enough, but she's always gravitated to other characters that most people would say are for boys.

I've encouraged her to love what she loves and not worry about any of that, so when she asked to be Han Solo for Halloween I went out and bought her all the stuff that she would need. And last week when she asked if Yoshi could come trick or treating as her Chewbacca I got online and ordered a bandolier for the dog.

She's been so excited to wear her costume to school, so when I picked her up this afternoon as she was in tears I asked what happened.

Some kids made fun of her, called her names, questioned her sexuality (she's six), and have convinced my sassy, amazing, spirited daughter that she is weird and that she shouldn't go out Monday with the other neighborhood kids because they will also make fun of her.

I'm appalled, angry, and heartbroken all at once.
