Jumping in on this network. Seems difficult but I'm going to give it a try anyway.

Hi, I'm Maxwell Trevelyan, will take most variations of either name. I'm not really new to the area but I'm new to the forum - and just bought a house to fix up in Anaheim, so I guess that means I'm staying for awhile. Sometimes I travel for work but I'm originally from Seattle, so that means I'm sort of missing the constant rainclouds.

I've also got my office situated in Anaheim - I'm a counselor, therapist, not a shrink, and while I have a couch in my office I don't really insist people lie down on it. I prefer to sit face to face and talk.

What else? Should I ask about coffee shops, the local ones? Always up for finding new caffeine suppliers.

I don't really recommend getting bitten by a mutant monkey.

Zelda

I need advice. It's only tangentially related to the monkey bite.

No no no no. If that was one of those fucking dream things people are talking about, I don't want them. Take them back. I already see their faces enough in my dreams Sorry for the noise, Xena

First ancient Greece, Caesar, and now the warlord travels to China where she has a sapphic experience. How fun.

All she really wants is to conquer things. She needs more experience. She's missing the long view and it's driving me nuts.

Well, I won't be having any more dreams from here on out. I guess that might be seen as a good thing.

I've been seeing a lot of new faces, so I'm going to mention that in addition to teaching spinning at [name of gym], I teach self-defense at the women's shelter at [address]. You're welcome at either class. I understand that this place has a way of making people nervous about their well-being. You might want to be extra sure of your ability to defend yourself.

Haven't dreamt in a few nights. This is a good thing. There's something really nice about a full night of dreamless sleep, especially when you're working a typically draining 9-to-5. What was really great about today, though, was lunch. I told the intern to get me something small and sweet and to surprise me and he brought me back a cup of rice pudding from this Greek place a block away. It had cinnamon sprinkled on it. I'm telling you, part of me didn't want to eat it. It looked fit for being photographed.

But of course I ate it. It was delicious. First time having rice pudding, but not the last, that's for sure.

Hurray for World Book Day!

Why not come down to Much Ado About Books to celebrate World Book Day tomorrow? We'll have readings of some classics for kids and adults alike and there will be a buy one get one free sale on everything in the shop!

I know it's been a hard few months with all the trials and tribulations the OC has to throw at us, but come and take your mind off things at Much Ado About Books. We'll be open from 9am to 7pm tomorrow.

From 5pm, there will also be a costume competition for the kids to dress up as their favourite character from their favourite books, with prizes for the best dressed! There may also be an adult competition, but that depends on how many of you come in costume (although I draw the line at anything above a PG rating, so no Fifty Shades of Gray please!)
