Dad didn't wake up today, and uhm... well lets just say that I don't think he's waking up anytime soon. I tried everything I know - mental telegrams, brewing the good coffee, turning on the fire alarm in our house (the kids thought that was funny), but no dice. He's just... sleeping. Not even peacefully. I just duct taped his visor to his face.

So I guess we're all going to have to manage without him until he wakes up.

Vegas was fun, but of course my first night back I have more dreams.

Looks like my dad is even more of an ass than he is here. I didn’t think that was possible. So why was it so sad to watch him die?

On another note. Does anyone have advice for what to do when a drawing from an evil original vampire from the dreams shows up in your room? I really have no clue what to do with this thing, hang it up, throw it out, put it in a drawer somewhere? Nothing really seems right.

I can officially cross off "dying" and "coming back to life" off my bucket list. I've read it's a thing here, so I feel like I've been initiated into some kind of club.

Also, ever wonder where a mouth of hell would conveniently be and open up at? Check your local school library! You'd be surprised.

Somehow my phone's gotten destroyed. Luckily I've had an upgrade due to me for awhile. Just have to figure out what phone to get now. Before the actual football season starts. That's imperative. And before my fantasy football draft.

I really don't know how I feel about this ALS ice bucket challenge. I know it's bring attention to a great cause, but are people actually doing it so they don't have to donate? I'd much rather donate my money to the cause and just be done with it instead of having to dump water on my head while we're in a drought.

I guess I could donate as well as dump the ice water on my head. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do and I've only got a couple more hours before my 24 hrs are up. Can't believe I got nominated to do this.

Somehow I couldn't stay away. It was a nice little vacation. Helped me figure some things out.

I mentioned before having a house party for the end of summer, and since most of my stuff is in boxes ready to move, and Elsa and I have been slowly sorting through my parents' things, too... the place is about as clean and empty as it will ever be.

So, please RSVP to let me know you're coming, and I'll get the catering service out to make this a fantastic party. We'll be drinking out of Red Solo Cups, too, so it'll fulfill other requirements.

I'm not leaving my room for a few days. Peeta and I broke up.

I thought that having Dreams was bad enough, with the whole forcing you to consider the nature of reality and consciousness, but guess what I found out is worse?

When they repeat.

After having a few blissfully Dream-free nights, they came back. And decided to start over from the beginning. I don't know who's sending the Dreams, but they're a real asshole. I already lived through my mom dying once in real life, and that was traumatic enough to last me for the rest of my life, but apparently it's not enough for them. I've had to watch my Other!mother die twice now, and let me tell you? Not fun.

Because, see, even better than reliving Other!me's traumatic childhood is being old enough to know what medical terms like frontotemporal dementia mean when your ten year-old self overhears the diagnosis. And then being able to google it when you wake up. And then finding out it's genetic and possibly hereditary.

But on the bright side, if things continue to be awesome for Other!me, he won't be alive long enough to worry about that. Last time I dreamed, someone else's life was in danger. This time, it was mine.

On a related note, what would be an appropriate gift for someone who saved Other!you's life?

And one last thing--how do you avoid the person who tried to kill Other!you? Is there etiquette for that? I can't imagine saying something like, "I'd really love to meet your Uncle, but he's a homicidal sociopath and tried to kill me in another life," would go over real well.

At least I don't have to go into work today, thanks to Stark Tower being attacked.

And of course, I hear about explosions right before I'm able pump caffeine in my system. Totally what we needed. Too early. Buffy need more Starbucks. Blargh.

So... okay. People have weird, physical things from the dreams, right? Not just things that show up, but... deformities? No, that's wrong. physical changes to a person's body? Because I woke up with wings. And Pixie Dust.

I had a really long dream last night. One of my former fairy friends showed me that she knew how to manipulate pixie dust, but she got yelled at by Fairy Gary (who was a bit of a dick, btw.) and then she went off. Like, a year later she showed up again, stole dust, changed my talent and did all kinds of weird stuff. Then there was a pirate ship and... Captain Hook. He was the Fairy, Zarina's, first mate. But it turns out he was using her, so I had to save her and then we stole back the dust, and convinced her to come home with us.

Long dream. And I woke up with ... I woke up with wings.

So apparently I can sing in the dreams. Maybe I will pick up that talent here.

I had way too many dreams last night. But the good news is, I adjusted to the whole being a vampire thing. I’m pretty bad ass which is cool I guess. Well Buffy may not consider that good news, but hey at least I have things under control now.

But of course there is way more bad news. I had to spy on my best friend. My mom hates me well until I compelled her to forget the fact that I am a vampire, but all that arguing reminded me of middle school and just no. I also got caught up in a love triangle, thankfully I didn’t pick the asshole, but the nice guy freaked when he found out I’m a vampire. So I guess that is over.

Lots of other stuff happened too. Way too much to go into. I’m sure a lot of your already dreamed it already. Ugh I have no clue how I am going to handle all a marathon night of dreams when classes start back up again. At least I don’t have to work today.

I do not want to get into the details of trying to explain this, because half of you would not believe me and it isn't really a story for general audiences.

But the bodies on the news were killed by a vampire that I sired a few months ago. Tracking him has taken me the better part of a month, and I miss him every time. He has gotten very fast. But I will catch him eventually.

The other vampires in this community are not to blame and shouldn't be punished.

Is it me, or does the news report about the two bodies being drained of blood scream "vampire"?

I think I'm just going to start verbally hashtagging everything I say just because that seems to annoy people and that sounds like a spectacular idea.

I thought I'd been done dreaming. But it's a little different. My childhood was different, the way my parents were killed was a little different. I never met Sam at boarding school. Instead, there's Amanda, but I lose her.

I don't like this version of myself. She's colder, emotionally distant. She doesn't care for people beyond what's necessary to get her job done. She's...a really lonely person. But she has some amazing adventures.

And after that last dream, I really want to find Atlantis....

I keep having this dream about this woman. Beautiful, strong, Latina woman. Covered in engine grease and holding a gun. Never thought that kind of thing would do it for me.

Sort of a weird thing to admit in a public forum like this but she's something else.

Okay, so.

Not gonna lie. I had pretty much written all of you off as being in some kind of new agey cult and/or having overactive imaginations.

But I woke up this morning feeling like I'd just lived through a horror movie. Which, if the things in the dreams are actually real, isn't too far from the truth for my Dream!Self. Usually when I dream about incredibly attractive half-naked men, they're not dying and asking me to cut off their arms.

I really, really don't want to go into work today. I kind of just want to curl up under the blankets until I fall asleep and have a normal dream. Or at least figure out why some people, the people I wouldn't have expected at all, people I barely know, and people I've never met, feature so prominently and others don't.

Can you believe I had four patients approach me at work, asking that very thing? Four. For fuck's sake.

I can't believe how little time there is before school starts. Is anyone else panicking? I've got so much shopping to do. And I'm still house-hunting.

One of my stupid GAs left Ghidorah's tank open last night. If you see a Beareded Dragon running around the UC Irvine area, please return it to my office. Poor little guy's probably scared out of his wits.

I'm starting to get a bit of a bump under my shirt now. Thinking I should invest in maternity wear? Or not yet? I'm kind of excited to be a huge, pregnant lady, but so many websites that I read say "wait as long as you can before switching to stretchy pants"....

So, I'm completely moved in and handing over the keys to my old place. It's like a new, fresh beginning. Hopefully my new housemates won't mind my silly idiosyncracies... like my tendency to make banana pancakes at midnight. Picked that up from John and it never went away.

I think I may be the only one who looks forward to summer ending and school starting. But I have new things that need using. Am I entirely insane to enjoy back to school shopping?

I'm suddenly forced to face the fact that, against my better judgment, I've gone and fallen in love.

What a way to start a Monday.

Someone from school told me about this thing, yet all I see are talks of dreams. Boring much? I mean come on.

The name's Dawn and I'm going to be a senior at Huntington Beach High. I like to dance, so that means I'm extremely fit. Pretty flexible too and I wouldn't mind showing if asked.

I'm broke. Someone should hire me.

So I joined this environmental meet up group that will meet every month for drinks at bars around Orange County. During these meetings we'll talk about what events we can do each month, clean-up projects, and outreaches to spread awareness. If anyone is interested in joining just let me know! Our next meeting is going to be in the beginning of August, but we do have a beach cleanup workday scheduled for Saturday.

With work, school, and now this I feel like my life is finally coming together. Still need to work on my social life though.

Last night was the worst night of dreams I have had yet. I barely got any sleep. Not really looking forward to work today, even if I do get to eat pie.

More dreams. I have my cat in the dreams at least. Isn't it weird when you wake from a dream, and you miss your friends there? Even though you don't know them in this world?

So, I know it's really uncool to show up to a new place and be all, "I need help," but desperate times. Desperate times.

See, I was supposed to have this really awesome internship with a startup in Redondo but they went bust and I'm basically screwed now. I should've known that an actual paid internship for a code monkey was too good to be true.

Anyways. If you know anyone who needs a slave intern for the rest of the summer, I'm around until basically October. Yay, quarter system.

New to the area. If anyone is looking for a roommate, knows of a room for rent, an apartment, house, whatever, in Orange County open I can pay up front.

Also, in case this is like Craigslist and the usual acceptable payment is a handjob and cheap ikea furniture (which I respect but I must decline), I just want to make it abundantly clear that I will be using actual paper money currency for the rent transactions.

Also I have a cat in case that is a deal breaker.

So, I think it's getting close to that time where I'll be joining the others from my dreams who have turned into vampires and I got to thinking, if I can compel people now, maybe I could go to a blood bank or the hospital and see if I can't compel someone down there to give me a couple bags of blood. Dream me has no problem with the human stuff, unlike Stefan who drinks the animal stuff, but I don't seem to bite people that often and I don't really want to get into a habit of doing that in real life once it happens.

What's really gonna suck is that unlike others in my dreams, Stefan and Damon in particular, I don't have a nifty daylight ring, so when I turn I'm gonna be shit out of luck as far as going out during the day, which is going to be a real problem since Disneyland is open during daylight hours the majority of the day.

Between Katherine's room and Enzo's kitchen I think I might have missed my calling as a painter.

You just totally failed at your job when you started falling for a vampire. Sure, you didn't know, but the signs were there. No one has a complexion like that unless they're dead.
