I usually stay inside when crazy OC things happen. Zombies aren't my thing and I have no skills. However, I had to walk Growlie. Fire Pokemon are very effective against Zombies. Who knew? Also, Fire Blast is a great attack.

If I have learned nothing else from the last OC thing, I have learned that climbing a tree to escape things is only a good idea when you can eventually manage to get back out of the tree without having to be saved.

Also apparently my first instinct when confronted with zombies and skeletons is to climb a tree.
