I'm finally at that stage of pursuing my doctorate where writing my dissertation begins. I'm totally excited for this, that I've finally come to this stage. But holy shit this is going to be one of the most grueling things I've ever done. Hopefully I can come out with my sanity on the other side, but it'll probably be two years or so before that will happen.

So here's to hope I don't go too crazy during this process?

I believe that with everything going on that I'm going to take a break this semester. I think that it'll overall be in my best interest at this point, especially since I've still not completely adjusted to being blind yet. The doctors still have no answers for me, and honestly? I'm tired of feeling like a pincushion.

I have been listening to a lot of Audible lately, their subscription is worth it in my opinion. I just finished listening to The Hobbit, it'd been a while since I'd read it, and now I think I'm on to The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Can Hollywood stop remaking movies that don't need to be remade? Just leave some things alone? I mean, I understand there are some things that need to be updated, but rebooting every superhero or horror series when the writers run out of ideas... that means you just need to hire better writers. Or move onto something else?

I saw on youtube they're rebooting the Blair Witch movies and... okay. I was too young to watch it when it came out, and I am not really a fan of shaky camera work to start with. I get seasick easily and it just... isn't pretty. But is that really something that can be redone now? The whole premise was it was something real that happened, and we know now it isn't? Because it’s an existing thing for us? I really just don't get it.

I can't say enough how happy I am to have a job. I know it's been like two months since I landed it, but still, I keep waking up every day nearly pinching myself. Just when I thought I'd have to sleep on my Bro's couch, I got saved in the nick of time.

Now I can not only pay my bills, but probably in a short amount of time afford a better place. And pay for my friends' dinners when we're out because I can ;)
