I cannot sleep. I do not really know why, except I have a strange sense of melancholy.

So I realized tonight that for someone who's supposed to be a children's author - Lewis Carroll wrote some pretty dark things. Example this poem called The Two Brothers - which has one brother killing the other so he can use him as the bait when he goes fishing. Then takes the fish he caught home to eat and ends up traumatizing their sister when she finds out what he did by basically telling her it was no big deal. I'm going to have to stop reading when I can't sleep

I was going to ask if the power was out for anyone else or if it was just our complex, but according to the news, it's not just us. Does this surprise me? Nope.
