While I'm sad that summer is over and I can't spend all my free time at the beach, I kind of don't mind that school is back. Maybe it's cause I can ask Tim for help I understand some things a little better or just cause it means I get to play football again, since I passed my summer classes, but for one reason or another, I don't mind that school has started.

You know your nightmares are bad when they send you into a panic attack upon waking up. That was the worst night in a long time, geez. Not what I need a few days before I fly out for Germany. I think I scared my cats this morning when I crashed out of bed, there was a good few minutes of total lack of grace.

And now in the attempt to turn this day around:

There's a chance I might die of a heart attack today. I already wrote my will and no one gets any of my stuff. Instead I'm gonna be buried Egyptian-style with all my shinies with me.

Dad didn't wake up today, and uhm... well lets just say that I don't think he's waking up anytime soon. I tried everything I know - mental telegrams, brewing the good coffee, turning on the fire alarm in our house (the kids thought that was funny), but no dice. He's just... sleeping. Not even peacefully. I just duct taped his visor to his face.

So I guess we're all going to have to manage without him until he wakes up.

Couldn't sleep last night. Then I zonked out for a minute while driving. That coulda gone real bad.

Insomnia. Yay.

I had the worst dreams last night, they were really unpleasant and now to make matters worse the bus is late. Today is not a good day :(

I’m on my way! I overslept after awful dreams. I’m so sorry!

Fell asleep while they were taking my walking boot off and poking my foot, almost punched a nurse in the face as I was waking up. She said I was muttering in my sleep. Got to the shop and was putting in orders for parts. I woke up flailing from a nightmare and knocked over my computer.

Seriously. What the hell.

Dean, I'm shutting shop, We can make up the work when I'm not falling asleep sitting up.

You know how when there's a really bad car accident, the nice family always dies and the drunken asshole who deserves to die walks away without a scratch?

I'm starting to think I'm the asshole who deserves to die.

Why do bad things happen to everyone else, but not me?

I guess I should be grateful. No sleeping means no dreams.

Seriously? My dreams are already nightmares. I don't need a whole helping of crazy on top of that.

Woke up screaming and flailing. I hit my dog Sasha in the face in the process. Now she refuses to even come near me and has this look of 'what the heck did I do?'. Pobrecita.

Damn this crazy ass county.

It has been brought to my attention that there have been a number of unreported absences, workers falling asleep at their desks and a general state of tiredness.

As a result I am informing all employees that if they have been affected or if a family member or loved one has been affected you are to go home immediately. Please do not worry about your work, it will still be here when this latest bout of strangeness is over.

I will be going through the HR records and contacting or attempting to contact those who have not reported in. If you know of anybody, especially if you know they live alone, please let me know.

So I fell asleep watching Mythbusters tonight. That NEVER happens. NEVER.
