Well... someone found out my birthday was this month. I almost escaped. Under the ruse of a private lunch was a surprise party. Not much for surprises or parties.

I try so hard t'be cheerful and full of sunshine, you know? I don't want to see anyone down or sad, so when I get that way myself, I just like to close my eyes and lose myself in some happier memories. Usually, that helps.

But... It's not the dreams, this time. Something happened, I don't want to talk about it, but it did, and I feel like my life stopped right then. I don't know how to make it pick back up again. And I felt like... I don't want to be the person who needs protecting anymore. I can't be. Sometimes, the person you're expecting to protect you needs you to be strong for them.

Havin' a hard time sleeping, now. So I guess... Network, could you give me some advice? I'm lookin' for someone who can teach me to kick some arse. And I'm also lookin' for some sleep remedies.

Appreciate any help you can give!

I want to take Annie out, but I haven't gone on an actual date in years. Can anyone recommend someplace fun out here? It's kind of sad that I've been out here almost a year and still don't really know where things are. Guess I'm still a bit of a hermit.

It is nice to get a break from work. Sometimes I do feel that I am neglecting more important things by letting myself get caught up in my job, though I do enjoy it.

Alright Cullens, I've purchased tickets for ALL of us to go to the Disneyland Halloween party this Saturday. Nessie will be wearing Sleeping Beauty. Costumes are allowed in the park, so dress up as something fun. I want to make Nessie's first Halloween special.

For those of you who have gone before--how crowded does it get? Being Disney I'm assuming it's not scary, right? I don't want to traumatize my daughter.

I watch Dancing With The Stars and I wish I could dance like that, but I'd probably break something if I tried.

1. Jedi lie. I didn't know they were allowed to do that. I thought the guardians of peace and justice would also include honesty as one of their tenets. Ah well, learn something new every day/dream, like beautiful young women leading armies into battle, that was an interesting dream within a dream.

2. I forgot how much I actually miss building things. I might have to dig out my tools and materials and put something together this coming weekend, maybe something like a Roomba, only better. Or a gardening robot now that I have space for a garden, I don't know, we'll see how I feel at the time.

A few days ago, I was doing a normal day at the shop when a man came in. He told me his name, told me he liked my designs, and told me that he was from Derek Lam.

For those of you who don't know, Derek Lam is an incredibly successful designer who normally does men's fashions for all seasons. However, he is apparently starting to design a women's line. And he offered me the job of lead designer.

I swear, you could have knocked me over with a feather! Derek Lam!

It does, however, mean the crux of this post: I'll be moving. Not very far, but down toward San Diego. Out of the network.

Alice and I have discussed it, and she's agreed to go with me. I expect some of you to come to our wedding, whenever it may be - I haven't asked her yet, but she knows I will. It's not a surprise.

The shop will be open for another week, and I'll be finishing all the commissions I took on - that includes Ms. Thurman's, as well as some things I was doing for you, Verity, as gifts. Any further questions, just ring or ask me here.

That moment when you realize that despite all efforts to the contrary, you are your father.

Its kind of weird, having these dream memories in my head. I have experience now as a radio reporter, and as a carpenter, and how to navigate by the stars, all of which I learned in my dream life, not in this one. But I know them surely and without hesitation, just as if I had learned them after a lot of practice here.

I'd never been in a real fight before the dreams, either but I know a lot about fighting now and can remember numerous battles from my dreams.

Its definitely weird, very weird.

I took Annie costume shopping today, with some interesting results.

We watched Avengers a couple weeks back, because she's really liked the superhero movies. So I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when she told me she wanted to be "the venger" for Halloween. I couldn't figure out why she didn't like any the Black Widow costume, or the girl's Cap cosutme or any of the other ones the store had, until she rolled her eyes and explained she didn't mean THOSE Avengers.

Suffice to say, Jen, we are going to have the cutest Hulk ever on Halloween. Apparently she really wants to smash things and be green. Can't say I blame her, even if I do think this is at least partly an excuse to cover herself in green paint after the finger painting incident this summer.
