I return from visiting my uncle in Europe and a few days later, the OC turns into a frozen 'wonderland.' It's nice to see that things have continued to stay interesting here but despite all that, I do have to admit that I missed everything and am very glad to be back in my true home.

Did I miss anything else of interest during the past month of my absence?

So far so good, the furballs are settling in nicely, they seem to love the open floor plan and plenty of cool tile to lay on. Of course they both want to lay on me when I go to bed, and that's rather awkward considering Spike's a good 130lbs. My legs lose feeling relatively fast.

Whenever any of my dear friends are free, I'd love to introduce you to the horde, so that they may know who you are and not try to squish you too much when you come over.

I heard this was a good place to meet people, so hi I'm Allison. I'm a sophomore at UCI and I'm majoring in environmental science. No that does not mean I am a hippie or some tree hugger, I just value the world we live in since it's our only home. I have a Great Dane puppy named Bella and she is my my everything.

I'm fairly certain that my sister is trying to make me fat. She has brought pie home from work at least twice a week since Caspian went to England. I like pie just as much as the next person, but a man can only eat so much pie. I may have to start looking into a gym membership if she keeps this up.

Gotta love Mako - my dog. Every morning at 5AM, regardless of my schedule or health, she plunks her little puppy butt on my head and wags her tail in my face so I'll get up and wrestle with her.

Well. It's not REALLY wrestling - I'd win, that's how tiny she is! It's more like enthusiastic hugging. Silly dog's turning me into a morning person.

Caspian has had to go see his uncle for some reason or another. Miraz wouldn't actually tell Caspian what he needed to talk to him about, but I suspect its just another attempt to break us up. He has never been supportive of our relationship, but Caspian has never cared what Miraz thought, because he knew his parents would have approved. So whatever Miraz has up his sleeve, it's not going to work. I just hope it doesn't keep Caspian away for too long.

I'd forgotten how good it feels to be on the stage, again. And doing Shakespeare, no less! There really is nothing like the live theatre. Not that I don't love film acting, as well, but there's something about being in front of an audience that gives me a thrill.

And it helps that my dear friend is in it, with me. Exciting times!

I've been officially working at The Pie Hole for a week! The best part is that I haven't dropped anything yet and all of the customers have been so nice! It's a fun job, I'm not sure waitressing is my dream job but I do love talking to people and Ned is great to work for x

It's safe to say that I have not had a very good day. It started this morning when I got hit in the face by a rubber glove that a little boy was playing with while the doctor examined his dog. It stung, but it wasn't that bad. What was worse was when I got bit by a hamster after lunch. They warn you that hamster bites hurt, but you don't think from looking at one that it would hurt that much. I will tell you that a hamster bite is bloody horrendous. Literally and figuratively. I'm very much looking forward to going home tonight.

Caspian, Lucy and I are making Easter dinner for the first time tomorrow. The past years were spent at mine and Lucy's parents' house, but seeing as they're back in England, this year the three of us are on our own. I don't think we'll have too many problems; after all, Caspian and I have been living on our own for some time now and neither of us have burnt down a kitchen or starved. Shopping today was an adventure though. Some people act as if they're stocking up for the apocalypse instead of food shopping for a holiday.

It appears that my boss is moving, but luckily the clinic will remain open and run by another vet there. I had been worried briefly that I'd need to find another job already and I've only had this one for a short time. So I'm very relieved that I won't need to look for a few job, but it is unfortunate that my boss is moving.

My cat is extremely odd sometimes. The last two times I've done laundry, he has sat in front of the washer, simply watching the clothes spin around. He has sat there the entire time. He's never done this before, so it's rather amusing. I'm curious, what is the most amusing thing anyone else's cat or dog has done?

I also realized that in a lot of my posts, I've mentioned my cat or Caspian. I think we need to start getting out more.

Apparently this is the weekend for dreams. I was starting to think mine were doomed for a bit there. But finally, after months and months of these, the curse broke. And now we're just ... a bunch of fairytale characters living in Maine, I guess. Or maybe that's it and I won't have anymore. Who knows, right?

It's odd how one set of dreams changes everything.

Every single one of my friends are dead, including me. Though I'm still around because I'm a ghost. I'm now taking care of a baby that apparently came to me as a teenager back in time and told me that I had to kill her to save the world.

I can't kill a child.

And now I have new friends. A new werewolf and a new vampire to take care. They're good guys. It's just a bit too much.

I can be seen and can touch things again, for the most part.

I was in a hotel bar waiting for a client, and this "Bridezillas" show came on. It freaked me the fuck out how much the chick in the promo credits looked like me. Mama doesn't do marriage, and if I did, I wouldn't do any of this frilly patriarchal horseshit. Nightmare time.

Oh. My. God.

THIS MAN spent $35,000 to transform his house into a cat paradise for his EIGHTEEN cats. It is beautiful, but absolute madness.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my cats, but I would never spend that much on them. I am almost tempted to call up the company that helped him do this and get a few things installed in my house, but I certainly won't be doing it to this extent.

Does anyone else get their pet a gift when they get their significant other or themselves something? Caspian and I seem to have gotten in a habit of getting Aslan some sort of new cat toy almost any time we get each other something. For Valentine's Day, he got a new catnip mouse and a bag of treats. I'm beginning to think we spoil big far too much. Either that or the gifts are an attempt to prevent him from jumping on us to wake us up. I don't know if anyone has ever owned a Maine Coon before, but they are quite big and heavy and having one jump from the dresser, onto your stomach, at five thirty in the morning is not pleasant.

How do you manage to get sick in Orange County? It's practically summer here compared to other climates. But I've had a non-stop headache all freakin' day. Nothing I take is touching it.

Fuck my life. This better go away, do you know how hard it is to do your physics homework when your brain is throbbing?

And no, before anyone says it, I didn't drink anything last night. It's not a hangover.

It's funny how we use the heart to symbolize love. You'd think it would be another organ. But the heart is life and often a romance leaves you wishing yourself dead.

I do have a fondness for roses, though. Those never go amiss.

We are completely unpacked now. That only took a little longer than expected because Caspian was doing some of it on his own while I was sick and then as a result, I rearranged some things when I was feeling better. Aslan seems to have settled in well, which I'm glad about. I was worried that the move would cause him some distress or something. I've also submitted my resume to a local veterinary clinic, not that my resume is extremely impressive at this time, but I do have some prior experience.

Made our first actual home cooked meal tonight after a few weeks of take away or mac and cheese. I decided to make cheesy chicken enchiladas and I'm fairly certain Caspian enjoyed them, because he ate about four.

[Filtered Away from Caspian]
Because we're both very new to the area, I was wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations as to where we could go for Valentine's Day. I've tried google, but being new to the area makes even that a little difficult.

I can't believe the first month of this new year is almost over! Why is time just flying by? I wish things would go a little slower and maybe my days would drag on a little longer.

So in preparation for February I decided to look over some of the pet events that are going on around the area that people might want to attend. You can view things: here. These should all be dog friendly, so if you have a dog make sure to see if there's any that strike your fancy. If you don't have a dog, well I have some more pets at my clinic that are up for adoption if you want to stop by and take a peek at them.

There's some really great events. Lots of fundraising and awareness events. I love all these puppy kissing booths for Valentine's Day ideas. Very clever! A run/walk for breast cancer and a kid petting zoo.

So I think that going from England to New York to California in such a short time has left me with a bit of a cold. I sent my boyfriend out to get some cold medicine while I unpack, but I think that may have been the wrong thing to do considering neither of us know the area well and he's been gone for quite some time. So, if anyone sees a man with longish dark hair who responds to the name of Caspian, tell him Peter said to get cat food as well.
