So, this is going to sound weird. Has anyone out there dreamed that they have a bonus soul riding with them in the dreams?

I wonder if it'll make me weird when I'm awake.

Am I the only doctor who can't watch doctor shows like ER or Grey's Anatomy because of how completely ridiculous some of the emergencies are? I'm not talking about the storylines themselves, but like they come up with he most random ailments and emergencies sometimes.

Well, I had my first weird dream last night.

Okay, shut up, not my first dream ever. The first real one. Like what everyone's been talking about. Guess I can count myself in that group, now.

Not sure how I successfully managed a weekend day off, but I'm definitely going to take it and not complain. The clinic is always the least amount of fun on Sundays. Too many drunk college accidents on Saturday night, generally.


I know how everyone goes on here about having strange dreams -- I'd never been afflicted with those, myself. But now, I can with certainty say that I had the oddest dream last night. Because it was so -- well. Normal, almost. It was like reliving my life with just subtle, tiny changes. Sherlock, you were there. At this point it would be odd if you weren't, I guess But sorry Peter, you weren't.

Henry and I have finally got our house sorted out. Moving is all well and good, but I can't say I enjoy setting everything up. Beyond my room, the kitchen, and the at-home laboratories work spaces we've set up in the attic and the basement, I don't see the point of the other rooms.

Apparently, it's for guests.

So now that we have guest-appropriate spaces, I suppose we need guests to fill it. I hate guests.

Seems like the thing to do these days is post on one of these blogs, or networks, and talk to people here. Somehow, it doesn’t feel quite the same as talking in person, to me, but that might be my age showing. Either way, hello to all.

My name is Magius, and I am a doctor at Sunburst Medical Clinic and it's sister facility, Sunburst Women's Shelter. One of my colleagues kept mentioning this place as an interesting read, and since I do rather love reading, I decided to give it a go. Seems a bit chaotic sometimes, but what doesn’t, these days? But you mostly seem like a nice bunch, so I hope to enjoy a few chats on here between work and studying.

Now, does anyone by chance know of a good stable around and about? The one I used most recently is shuttering its doors and my horse Silvanus needs a good place to stay.

So woke up today. With a sore back, sore neck, and in a cold sweat. I couldn't even figure out why. Maybe I was exercising in my sleep? Can you do that? I mean, nothing in my research suggests that, but I could be missing something.

First and foremost, Sherlock Holmes snores loudly. John Watson on the other hand, doesn't seem to; or, well he might, but it'd be drowned out by Sherlock. John does talk in his sleep though, and I think I heard him whispering one of the Care Bears' names, that could be me just lying to you, but I have no idea.

One of the cartons of milk in the refrigerator was housing specific specimens necessary in my experiments in trying to fight skin disease. Now it seems to be half empty.

I really hope no one had any cereal today... maybe I should start labeling?

It's weird, trying to get used to weather out here. Very different from Chicago, where the windy city blew snow all over my car every day. And when you drive a jeep, that's a problem. But here... is it even below freezing? This is wild!

And working down here seems to be going pretty well. Still not used to the wild driving, or the slightly better flea traps you have to stay in here than we did back in Chicago.

I know that there are quite a few people out there that are phone-savvy and enjoy playing games on them.

I have to express my deepest sadness that I have run out of Angry Birds to play. I have played all of the Angry Birds, now, even the ones in space, though I still am wondering how those pigs managed to get those eggs into space to begin with.

They do not seem very bright, you see. I am certain they would have broken all of the eggs on the way, and then the birds would have been quite saddened by this.

I am wondering if any of you could recommend a game for me to try next, that is as enjoyable as Angry Birds has been?

When is it ever right/IS it ever right to take the law in your own hands? Even if the law is wrong/right? Cause honestly, it's pretty fucking screwed up right now, and this powerless to stop it thing has got me thinking.

Now I understand what the big to-do is about dreams. I had a pair of particularly vivid ones last night, involving my family. It was disturbing. I was there, but it really wasn't me. Some fantasy version of myself.

My analyst says that my parallels what I am going through in my waking life, and that I'm seeing myself in an idealistic setting created by my subconscious, indicating an inner turmoil.

I'm entertaining the idea of going to this Halloween party, but I have no idea what to go as. I'm far better at picking out costumes for others.

It would appear that some sort of incident happened at my tea house while I was away. Most of our teacups are broken, and while I am sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for why such a thing has come to pass, it will prevent the serving of tea for a few days.

We expect a new shipment of teacups in on Saturday.

Guess who got asked to leave anger management group today?

It wasn't the first time people have given me dirty looks when I've been in there, but when I dared refer to my wheelchair using neighbor as "Crip", since I don't care enough to learn the names of the people shafted into this pathetic thing, I kind of made the anger management problem we're all here in the group for flare up again.

So I got punched and a broken nose and the therapist informed me I was disturbing her calm, or whatever it was, she said along those lines, I was tuning her out because the whole thing was bullshit seriously, and I got removed from the group and apparently it's recommended I do private sessions until I'm "ready" to deal with my problems.

It's almost like she read my mind and gave me what I wanted. I'm not actually GOING to work with her, since I said I'd try group therapy and lasted three weeks, which is a lot longer than I agreed to anyway, so really...

I can live with this option. My anger's plenty controled anyway. I just hide it when I'm somewhere that pisses me off, you know?

Perhaps it's a crude way to get the news out, but I'm so busy at work I really don't have the time to go around writing personal letters to everyone I know. Ben and I have decided to get a divorce. The separation was mutual and as amicable as can be expected. The house went on the market this week and we're hoping for a quick sell. I've moved into a unit at the Quail Meadows apartments next to the Hospial and I'm looking for a new home nearby. To also make things even more complicated for everyone I'll also be changing my name back to my maiden name which is Carlson.

For my part in this I don't need anyone's pity or condolences. I just want to put it behind me and move on with my life. I would appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping me to do just that.

So I am being dragged along to this gala thing tonight by my flatmate, she's as excited as a kid at Christmas.

I really just want to stay home and read the latest astrophysics journal that came this morning. I'm a geek and proud of it. But she pulled the best friend card so I guess I have to go. At least I have a dress already.
