Yes that's right it's National Barefoot Day today and it's also National Olive Day! Go mad people!

Later this month, my boyfriend turns twenty one. Still trying to figure out if I'm robbing the bloody cradle or not. Don't think so, but some people might think it. Anyway, back to the point of this post, his birthday is this month and I want to throw him a party. After the shite that goes on in his dreams, he deserves it. This is partly to find out who is friends with Josh Washington on here and to see if anyone knows of a good male stripper. Yes, I've planned parties with male strippers before, but I want the best for this party.

We had so much fun this weekend! It was nice to be home and we even managed to steal my baby brother Max for ice skating too!

Today has been so much fun. I got to travel through a portal for the first time in real life. It happened in the dreams, but actually doing it is so much different. One second we were in Magnus and Alec's living room and the next we were in New York. So awesome! It's interesting though, being back in New York while also dreaming about living in New York. Tomorrow we're going ice skating at Rockefeller Center. It's the last day of it and I haven't done it in a few years cause I'd usually go with Clary.

I think I was just so excited about the portal and being back in New York and also, Izzy helped me, the other day, find makeup to cover up the Mark so I don't have to wear hats or make sure my hair stays over my forehead anymore. I don't know why I didn't think about this sooner.

This was not funny! Jem and Tessa expect retribution. Our bathroom is full of evil!

World Cabbage Day? Who the hell comes up with these days? I mean seriously and more to the point why is my calendar telling me about them?

So I learnt today that if a battery bounces when you drop it on a table it means it's dead. I'm not sure how I didn't know this before, it seems like one of those things you should know in life. Kind of like the egg floaty test.

Well that explains a lot. Alec had a dream a long time ago, out of context and I've been wondering what led to the events of it and now I know. I don't blame him for what he did there, because it's not as if I was very forthcoming with much of anything. While there are some aspects of my dream self that I enjoy there are some that I don't; not talking about his past to those who matter most is one of them.

So...I'm thinking of taking up pole dancing?

So not only am I a vampire, in my dreams, but now I'm the only vampire who can walk in the sun. They're calling me a daylighter. It's kind of good, cause at least I don't have to be all shut in during the day, but other vampires aren't exactly happy about it. And if that's not enough, Jace asked me to come to the Institute, which was then attacked while the Shadowhunters were leaving for the country they're from and I was hurt so Jace took me with them, which would have been fine except that then I was locked up. People need to stop kidnapping me or locking me up in these dreams. Seriously. It's not fun.

And here comes the Christmas music.

Tonight, a couple came into the bar and they brought a cake because they had just gotten married. They were together nine years and they finally tied the knot. They are quite adorable and it makes me happy to see them like that.

A friend's funeral plus dreams about being tortured plus alcohol aren't the best combination.

Things settle down here and in my dreams we summon a demon. Of course we do. We summoned the demon Azazel in the hope that he could forge a weapon for us, but that was a bust in the end we had to each give him one memory as payment for summoning him. I banished him cause his idea was literally the worst. Only he didn't want to be banished completely and when my cat almost strayed into the Pentagram we'd used to trap him, Simon went after him and Azazel showed up again and after trying to harm Simon, left of his own accord.

So we're still up shit's creek, trying to figure out what to do about Jace and Sebastian.

You never notice how much you miss someone until they are gone. At least, Magnus will be back tomorrow but I do worry about him, even if he was only away for a few days. Staying at his place while he's been gone, to watch his cat, just makes me miss him more. I'd say, everyone should come over for a party but he would be upset that he wasn't invited. Hehe.

At least I have the Chairman to keep me company while I watch Netflix.

In my dreams, I stopped someone from being publicly executed for stealing food. Go dream Me. But then I had to fight a symbiote and her huge ... bodyguard... friend. Thing. At least I won.

I also got into UCI for Library Science, so that's good. Time to go glasses shopping.

Staying up at all hours has allowed me plenty of time to keep up with news back home. How upsetting our Prime Minister should be at the center of a corruption scandal. He is a resilient man, Mister Ponta, but I think we are due for a political change. At least he should be happy that a mob of ungrateful villagers has yet to try and burn him alive.

I am also finding that the cons of vampirism far outweigh the pros.

Miss Pevensie, I've another peculiar request.

Has anybody gotten better at something they were already good at because of the dreams? My reflexes are kind of amazing now and it's weirding me out.

I decided to take a break from reading historical books from the Institute's library and have picked up a few books from a nearby bookstore!

Honestly, reading is fun!

I just finished reading "My Fight/Your Fight" by Ronda Rousey; now, I want to take MMA training classes. No, I don't want to be an actual MMA fighter but it would be something to make me a better fighter. And I kinda want my book to get signed by Ronda...

My dreams appear to be getting even worse. Here I was thinking that the Mortal War was going to be the worst of it, but now Camille has escaped and at the exact same time there are problems in my relationship. I'm glad that these problems are only in the dreams. Dreams or real life, I don't like it when Alec is upset. Of course, dream me is partly to blame for it, so I don't exactly fault him for being upset. I only hope that better things are to come.

I volunteered to work today so the others could have it off. It will probably be dead, so anyone who wants to come down to the music store, do it. Save me from being bored to death.

I feel like I need to write some sort of Frequently Asked Questions page, just to avoid the rush of But you're blind, why are you on a message board? So let's address a few things that I tend to be asked whenever I venture outside of my bubble.

Are you really blind?
Yes, I really am. You can stop waving your hand in front of my face. I'm No Light Perception (or NLP) blind, which is exactly what it sounds like.

How do you use a computer?
The same way most people do, but with some added software. I have a screen-reading program that reads text to me, and a dictation program that I use to write longer documents. Shorter things, like a quick e-mail, I can type on a normal keyboard, and then have it read back to me to make sure my fingers were on the right keys when I was typing. Peer editing is also very helpful.

How do you watch movies?
I don't, technically. I listen to them, like you would an audio book, but with a buddy to explain the action. I usually like radio plays or just listening to music better, but I hear Netflix is introducing audio narration to some of their shows, so maybe I'll check that out.

Am I missing anything?

Hi. A bartender at work said this was a good place to meet people, and I've just moved to this side of town. I'm Jin, and it's good to meet people? I guess?

My barista recognized me from my work today. It was all very flattering, except for the part where she pointed at me, referenced my large ... body of work, and dropped hot coffee on herself. I could have done without that bit.

I'll be glad when I can go out to eat at a pub and not have basketball blasted from every speaker.

A bunch of kids came in today and said that it was Spring Break. I was jealous. Why isn't there a spring break from work? Bosses should make this happen.

Has everyone seen that dress color debate? I wanted to believe it was photo-shopped until I saw the same picture in two different colors.

I think these dreams need to stop. I'm starting to get a bad feeling. Starting too? That happened like three dreams ago.

I have a shoot today. It's also Friday the 13th. Is that bad luck? it might be a bad hair day or something.

The Bakery was broken into last night and as such is a bit of a mess today. Nobody was hurt thankfully but they weren't exactly careful when looking for things to steal.

Please note we will be closed for at least twenty four hours while things are fixed and tidied.

We have contractors working on it and hopefully they won't take too long to put everything right - I'm planning on using my charm to get them to work hard for us!

While things are being fixed you obviously don't need to come in to work but will be paid as usual. I'll message those working over the weekend when we know about the re-opening details.

Family snowball fights are epic. We really need to do that again.

I think we need to have a huge New Years party.

It's always interesting when the dreams wake me up in the middle of the night. I always feel more disoriented than when I wake up from them normally in the morning. This time around there was a battle in Idris and Clary created a Rune to bind each Shadowhunter to a Downworlder so we could work together. Not only that, but a certain someone finally came out, not only to his family, but to the Clave as well. I also found the spell to wake up a certain someone's mother too. After the battle I saw another certain old friend there, which was quite nice. All in all, not a bad set of dreams.

Oh yeah, but the most disorienting part about when I just woke up, my bellybutton is apparently gone. It's one of my other demon marks in the dreams, like my eyes and now it appears to be gone. This is interesting, to say the least.

I haven't had any dreams for awhile. I know some people don't mind them, but I kind of miss them. It's like waiting for a sequel to come out.

Oh man, it's nice to have some time to myself, again.

Works been pretty busy and we've been shorthanded, so nothing like "required" overtime. At least, the tips have been good. I'd like to just spend some time with my boyfriend but due to circumstances, he has a guest for who knows how long. I have nothing against her, she's rather nice but I'd just like have some quality time with the man who has my heart.

I'm in need of advice...

So, not that long ago, I came out to my parents. My mother was okay with it but my father has just kinda shut me out since then. My sister says that it's his issue to deal with and that I shouldn't worry about his opinion...but he's my dad. Am I stupid for wanting his approval?

Every TV in the hospital and the breakroom is turned onto FXX for The Simpsons marathon. First patient of the day was a 13 year old who has tried to stay up for the past 5 days to watch everything so far. The Simpsons are fun, but not THAT important. Not worth your health, people.
