Since I can’t sleep I thought I’d surf the internet which is how I came across something I thought I’d share with all of you - the Australian army once lost a war against emus. As weird as that sounds it’s not a joke - they actually fought against birds and lost.

So historians have discovered that one of the most popular names in medieval times was Aelfgiftu - which translates to Elfgift. And when looking further into it they discovered that the most popular times for this name coincided with wars and military campaigns. Especially closer to the end of them. So while today the explanation for unexplained pregnancies while husbands are away on long business trips seems to be aliens, historically it was blamed on the various fae groups.
