This time of year has always been my favorite. I know a lot of people hate that the stores are already playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving, but it helps to get me in the holiday spirit. I mean, we live in California, so it's not like we have any other way to get into the spirit. We don't get cold weather or snow, so all we really have are decorations and music. And it's only for a few weeks, so I'm sure everyone can live with it for a little while.

Oh and my name is Aurora. I'm a friend of Ruby's, who has already posted. I work part time at Granny's with her and I'm also a stylist.

There are always good and bad things about returning here for the winters. I do enjoy the shopping to be found here, and that includes food - there are exotic options that are just simply unavailable in England. I also enjoy being able to see such a lovely sky at such a late point in the year.

I do not, however, enjoy the idiocy of my neighbours - especially this year when their teen-aged son sees fit to carry on like a football hooligan well into the wee hours. I understand that some noise is going to happen, but unless, heaven forbid, your home is being robbed, nothing should be that loud at half three in the morning.

I guess I'm part of the club now.

Vanille didn't answer her phone today. First time ever. Fang didn't either.

If you were going to take a vacation to Canada in the winter, where would you go?

My trip to Kabul is settled. I look forward to going but I find myself strangely looking forward to returning here. I suddenly have more things on my plate than I have in a very long time. Perhaps this place isn't all weird and bad crazy. After all it's given me some great friends.

Haven't found work yet but I'm pretty convinced it's time to walk away after the New Year at the latest. I cut myself in the Armory today, while doing inventory for something, and I didn't notice. I got done, walked out, passed my secretary and she practically had a heart attack. Apparently I'd sliced my hand open well enough to need sutures, but by the time I trudged to med, they just wrapped it in gauze and sent me home shaking their heads.

How are things going? Had another dream. Discovered there are physical changes going on too. I am not loving this.

It's official. Even I can't get work done because of Buzzfeed.

I haven't fallen off the planet. I swear. I've just been finishing work on the Studio and trying to digest the latest dreams. It's rather interesting to relive a memory so clearly. Although I'm not entirely sure I believe it all. An interesting cast of my dreams, too. Such fascinating folk. I wonder what our relationships will be like.

I'm exhausted but hey, look, someone sent me cookies. Mmm. Cookies. Just the sugar overload I need for the day, and before anyone yells, I already ate one. It was delicious. And i'm fine. Now they're staring at me, though, saying "Eat me" (I shouldn't joke about this in the OC huh?) well you know the look tempting food has when it's being all tempting and you're trying not to be bad and eat the whole platter.
