I feel like a wreck. This week can just go straight to Hell for all I care.

It's raining! Absolutely love a good rain, it tastes a bit weird though; then again, just brushed my teeth. Never drink rain after brushing your teeth--though I suppose I'm not drinking the rain necessarily.

Anyway, absolutely brilliant to see those of you at the gala who went; those who didn't, absolutely brilliant to see you in the future when I do!

I just got done reading a couple of books by Neil DeGrasse Tyson; absolutely brilliant man, almost as brilliant as me even. Almost. Still, smart, and love the man incredibly.

I recommend reading them all.

Now I just need another good book, anyone have any sort of suggestions?

I have been considering this for a while now, and think I'd like to be in the market for / purchase a condominium. Does anyone know of any nice ones around here? Or, I suppose, any real estate agents?

I'm really glad I did. I know it'll ruin my reputation as a surly old cuss, but I'm rather taken with my dog.

I'm Isabelle Lightwood, some of you may know my brother Alec. I've recently transferred so I can keep an eye on him ;)

So yeah, I don't really know what else to say. I've never been very good at this kind of thing. I'm sure I'll get to know people as I settle in.

Woke up this morning and got sick. Still feeling pretty gross, actually. I don't even have an appetite and thinking of eating makes my stomach feel woozy all over again.

And I'm so tired, but I don't want to go back to sleep.

Urgh.

It is on days like this that I'm really glad I moved out of Oklahoma. Severe weather is starting back up again and tornadoes are already starting to touch down in the state. I can't tell you how many tornado drills I went through as a kid and when I go home to see my grandmother the sound of sirens gets my heart beating. My heart goes out to everyone that is affected by those tornadoes that do touch down and that reminds me to call my grandmother and make sure that everything is alright where she is.

I have the day off tomorrow, so I think I'm going to spend the whole thing sleeping.

Oh, except I have to go grocery shopping, too. And possibly bring a certain pregnant friend who works at a certain nursery some cookies? Maybe?

Joanna is arriving on June 18, and will be staying for six weeks. This is our trial run to see if we'll be compatible enough for her to come and live with me during the school year.

I suppose this is the part where I ask for everyone to "wish me luck." I know I'm going to need it. I sure hope I don't screw this up
